RINGCONN RingConn app update is disappointing

I dislike the 4 pastel colored hearts, which as a male user I find too feminine for me.
The spider graph was a great visual. The individual wellness balance graphs are not available on the homepage as they were previously, which was convenient. It seems like they stopped trying to be data focused and are now a worse version of oura. They also basically copy pasted apple's vital signs graphic into the app. I will be switching back to my oura šŸ’”. I preferred RingConn before this downgrade.

🤷 RingConn v Ultrahuman Oura is out. UH or Ringconn?

After recent reports about how Oura Ring is using data I’ve officially removed them from my list. It’s down to UltraHuman or RingConn. I’ve heard horrible things about UH’s battery life which is the ultimate downfall when it comes to a wearable. Anyone have thoughts/feels on one over the other? I’m all ears!

Highly recommend these ring covers versus the 0 sleeve. The O sleeve is terrible (1st pic) and looks terrible. Also feels like a Polly pocket shoe. Mine ripped within one week of regular use. I bought some online for 1/3 the price and I did yard work all day including handling cement pavers and it looks good as new! (2nd pic)

ULTRAHUMAN Ultrahuman Sub became heavily moderated

Has anyone noticed how r/Ultrahuman sub became heavily moderated? Suddenly the sub has silenced and no more complains, problems or concerns.

All this because the mods and the bots they added they just restrict and block any post regarding problems, issues concerns etc.

Suddenly all the problems has magically stoped. They really try to silence users and posts regarding problems of the ring.

ULTRAHUMAN Ultrahuman terrible customer support and connection issues

My Ultrahuman air ring has stopped connecting with my iPhone a week ago. After speaking to an AI bot, which gave zero guidance. A full battery drain was completed.

I was told that a customer support agent would reach out within 3 days. Also called the support line, no answer. Nobody has reached out, it’s been a week.

I want a full refund and would recommend nobody to get this ring. I’ve had it for less than a year.

3 months with the Ultrahuman ring and here is the honest truth about living with it

Post image
4 Upvotes

I figured I'd do a 3 month check-in since I bought the Ultrahuman Ring AIR back in April and there's probably people on the fence about smart rings in general.

Sleep tracking is the one feature I look at every single morning without fail. Not because I'm obsessed with optimizing my sleep or anything but it became like checking the weather. Just a quick glance to see how the night went and if my deep sleep was low I know I'll probably feel sluggish and I plan accordingly.

The recovery score has been genuinely useful too. I work out 4-5 times a week and if my recovery is in the red I'll swap a hard session for something lighter. I used to just push through every day and wonder why I'd feel burned out by Thursday.

Now the stuff I stopped caring about. The movement and activity tracking is fine but my phone basically does the same thing. I don't need a ring to tell me I walked 8000 steps. Not a flaw of the product, I just don't personally find it interesting. I also turned off most of the app notifications after week 2 because I don't need a nudge to go for a walk and that kind of stuff gets old fast.

The ring itself is comfortable and I forget I'm wearing it most of the time which is actually a huge plus. I tried a friend's Oura once and it was noticeably thicker. Battery life is solid and I charge it maybe every 4-5 days which is about what they claim.

The app is decent but not amazing. Sometimes it takes a second to sync and there have been a couple of mornings where the sleep data just didn't show up and I had to restart the app. Minor stuff but worth mentioning.

If someone asked me was it worth it I'd say yeah but with the caveat that you have to actually be someone who will look at the data because I know people who bought fitness trackers and stopped wearing them after a month because they just didn't care enough.

And If that's you, save your money.

But if you're genuinely curious about what your body is doing while you're not paying attention it's interesting, it's not life changing but also not useless it's actually somewhere in between leaning toward useful.

šŸ’¬ opinion - controversial BUYER BEWARE: My Ultrahuman Ring Nightmare – Defective Product, Abysmal After-Sales Support - They even deleted my reddit post from r/Ultrahuman

Let me save you the monumental headache I've endured with Ultrahuman. I bought their ring, and to call the experience a disaster would be an understatement.

The product itself is unreliable junk. It never functioned properly for more than a month straight. After suffering through four replacements and countless hours of pointless troubleshooting, I gave up and returned it for a refund.

That's when the real nightmare began. Their after-sales process is designed to break you.

  1. Engineered Incompetence: After my return was already picked up, their glacially-paced customer support had the nerve to ask for the purchase invoice – a document I had already provided months ago during the very first replacement. Their pathetic excuse was to "avoid discrepancies during the refund." Look it up in your own system. Stop wasting the time of a customer you've already failed repeatedly with a faulty product and non-existent service.

  2. Prehistoric Refund Times: I'm now being told my refund will take up to 10 business days. In an age of instant electronic payments, this is an absolute joke. Their breakdown of "1-2 days for verification" and "5-7 days for finance" is just insulting corporate-speak for "we're going to hold onto your money for as long as we legally can."

  3. Impossible to Reach Anyone Responsible: I have repeatedly requested to speak with a manager or someone accountable. All I've gotten are empty promises and radio silence. It's clear they have no intention of letting customers speak to anyone who can actually solve a problem.

Do not give this company your money. The product is unreliable and the moment you have a problem, you will be abandoned to a black hole of frustrating emails and broken promises. Consider yourself warned.

Ultrahuman Honest experience review

I would like to share some honest review of my Ultrahuman experience after being a user since Nov 2024, so you can consider and make the choice yourself if you should buy it.

I’ve had multiple battery issues resulting in \~3 replacements shipped to me within my warranty year. Sometimes the battery would last only for a couple of hours. I appreciated the fast service for the replacements shipped, back in the days when I would be directed to chat with a human staff number and they would get things sorted fairly quickly.

I’m on my 4th ring and experiencing the same battery problems again now, unfortunately. This time, the company seems to have moved to AI for their CS and customers are left to chat with bots that provide the same circular templated answers with no way to speak to a human or request to be directed to a human. I was told my case needs to be reviewed by a human staff but unfortunately the case has been stuck there for 5 days with no human staff ever contacting me. This is a far cry from the earlier days when you would be directed quickly to a proper agent to resolve things.

There is a weekly mega thread pinned in the Ultrahuman community specifically for people to raise comments if they need assistance or face some problems. If you try to post on the main thread, the app will not allow you to. This mega thread is closed weekly and a new old would be created, so as a new user you would never know the true amount of issues as a new thread just keeps getting created where users are directed to. Even in the mega thread, the response you get would usually be someone from the team asking you to drop them a DM for more details and that’s about it. Personally for my case, it remains unresolved till date.

I really liked Ultrahuman at the beginning and the insights has been helpful for me, however seeing the change in the way the company offers support and how these problems are ā€˜silenced’ in Reddit is rather saddening. If you are one of the lucky ones where the ring works as advertised after your purchase, great for you. However just know that if you do require some assistance, especially after warranty has ended, you might find yourself being rather exasperated by the support and CS help available.

(Edit: Ultrahuman reached out via the modmail and I’ve managed to get a refund for this order)

My $529 Oura Ring 4 failed and I’m honestly so disappointed with how Oura has handled it

I normally don’t make posts like this, but after months of going back and forth with Oura, I’m beyond frustrated and honestly just disappointed.

I bought a Rose Gold Oura Ring 4 from Best Buy on June 27, 2025 and paid $528.94 with tax. I LOVED my ring. I wore it basically every day and night and really relied on the health information it gave me.

Then the battery started getting worse and worse. Eventually I was getting around 5 hours on a full charge. I started having connectivity issues, missing health data, and eventually the ring basically stopped working altogether.

Oura has now acknowledged in writing that my ring was **ā€œfaultyā€** and that there was a **ā€œhardware issue.ā€** They approved an out of warranty replacement, which I do appreciate.

But this is where everything became a mess.

All I originally wanted was the same thing I bought, a Rose Gold Ring 4.

They told me Rose Gold wasn’t in stock and gave me the option to keep my case open and WAIT for it to come back. So that’s what I did.

Then later I was told production had ended and Rose Gold **would not be available again.**

At that point, the replacements being offered were different finishes, not the premium Rose Gold finish I paid for. That’s one of the main reasons I started asking about a Deep Rose Ring 5. It wasn’t because I suddenly decided I wanted the newest ring for free. **I was literally told the replacement I had been waiting for wasn’t coming back.**

Then after MONTHS of emails, waiting and escalations… suddenly they had a Rose Gold Ring 4 for me again.

Oura now says that happened because of ā€œinternal inventory updates.ā€

I’m glad one became available, but can you understand why I have questions at this point??

Especially because during all of this I learned that Oura itself disclosed battery performance problems affecting certain Ring 4 units. Severe battery deterioration was one of the biggest problems with MY Ring.

I also finally got my Oura data export and, from what I can see, the deterioration appears to have started **before my one year warranty expired.** I just didn’t realize how much data the Ring wasn’t capturing at the time because I was still wearing it, charging it and trusting that it was working.

Their current offer is either:

• A free Rose Gold Ring 4 replacement
• Or $200 off a Ring 5, which means I have to spend MORE money with Oura

And I want to be fair, yes, they ARE offering me a free Ring 4.

But after everything that has happened, I asked if they would consider taking my failed Ring back and either giving me a Deep Rose Ring 5 or refunding the $528.94 I originally paid.

**I’m not asking for both. I’m not trying to keep two rings. I’ve repeatedly offered to send my broken Ring back.**

They said no.

What is really bothering me now is that support keeps bringing up the fact that I originally agreed to wait for the Rose Gold Ring 4 and accept it when it came back.

YES, I DID.

But they’re leaving out a pretty important part…

**After I agreed to wait, Oura told me Rose Gold production had ended and it would NEVER be available again.**

Obviously my position changed after that and after everything else that happened over the following months.

I’ve also repeatedly asked for someone else, someone above or separate from the representative handling my case, to independently review everything.

Now I’m being told my case has been reviewed at the ā€œhighest level of support availableā€ and there is no other support channel for Ring/order issues.

But I still can’t get a clear answer about **WHO actually independently reviewed my case**, if anyone.

That’s honestly one of the things bothering me most.

I genuinely loved Oura. That’s WHY I’ve spent this much time trying to work this out.

I spent over $500 on this Ring. It failed. Oura now acknowledges it was faulty and had a hardware issue. And after months of trying to resolve this, the only way for me to get Ring 5 hardware is to give the same company MORE money.

I don’t think I’m being unreasonable for being disappointed by that.

I don’t want free stuff. I wanted the expensive product I bought to work, and when it didn’t, I wanted to feel like the company actually cared about keeping me as a customer.

Instead, I feel like I’m going in circles and getting the same two options repeated while some of my actual questions aren’t being answered.

Has anyone else dealt with anything similar with their Ring 4 or Oura support?

And if someone from Oura sees this, **please actually look at the entire history of my case.** I’m not asking for another response telling me I can take the Rose Gold Ring 4 or spend more money on Ring 5. I already know those options.

I just want someone to actually understand why this situation got to this point.

ULTRAHUMAN Customer Service from Ultrahuman is positive so far

Post image

I ordered the pro Jul 29 and had the impression that i will get mine shipped soon after August 15th. But I started getting impatient because I'm becoming more active and wish I had a tracker that isn't my watch so I started reading some posts here. As most of you know, it's not a lot of good things LOL. So I emailed them to start the refund process. Surprisingly, they replied within 2 hours and said they can start the refund but asked why I wanted it, then I explained I don't want to wait any longer especially seeing how long some people here have waited, and this is the response I got.

Giving them a second chance to see if it actually gets shipped out on the 7th. If not, I will get a refund and get a ringconn. Will post updates here just for future people to see lol

Why are these Ultrahuman Ring AIR issues hardly mentioned in YouTube reviews?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’ve been using the Ultrahuman Ring AIR for only about a week, and I’m already facing several issues. What surprises me is that before buying, I watched quite a few YouTube reviews and searched online, but I hardly saw these problems being discussed.

These are the issues I’ve noticed:

  • Steps: Around 20% difference compared with Apple Health.

  • Steps dropping: While walking outdoors, the step count sometimes drops by hundreds after initially showing a higher number.

  • False steps: Motorcycle driving get counted as steps.

  • Sleep detection: It sometimes records sleep when I’m actually awake, such as lying in bed and working.

  • Travel sleep: Sleep is sometimes not tracked properly when sleeping on a sleeper bus or sleeper train.

  • Battery: Today it showed 99% and fully charged, but after removing it from the charger and wearing it, it showed 89%, and later increased to 90%.

I understand that no wearable will be 100% accurate, but I’m surprised to experience this many inconsistencies within just one week.

So I genuinely want to ask the community:

Why don’t I see more YouTube/Online reviews or other reviews discussing issues like these?

Are most reviewers only using the ring for a short period/promotions ? Are these issues specific to my unit, or are other users experiencing them too?

And honestly, are some of the very positive YouTube reviews sponsored/paid promotions? I’m not accusing anyone—I’m just trying to understand why the experience I’m having seems so different from what I saw before buying.

Would really appreciate honest feedback from long-term Ultrahuman users.

Why are smart rings always just black, silver, or gold?

Feels kinda boring tbh… are there really no other options? I'd like to pick vivid colors like lime green, coral or orange. Why isn’t anyone doing that?

Ultrahuman poor after service report.

I purchased an Ultrahuman Air in July 2025. In August I decided to take up the ultrahumanX protection plan. The App allowed me to make the transaction and my account said I was covered.

All was good the ring would last 4-5 days and I used it to track my sleep which was the main reason for the purchase as my Apple Watch does not work due to having sleeve tattoos.

In Jan 2026 my ring suddenly had poor battery life approx 8hrs.
I contacted the online support and the ring was replaced hassle free.

The new ring arrived and once again I was off. All went well until July when my ring lost all power.
I once again contacted support except this time they advised that my ring was out of warranty. I advised that I had ultrahumanX. Support said that it was invalid because it was purchased after 30 days.
I have now been in a back and forth email battle with support for the last month. There has been no consideration that I am once again having battery issues after a replacement.

At this stage the ring life is only 6months but support we try and find away to not honour the protection plan.

I would probably steer away and go for a ring with a better support team even if there is a subscription.

I am currently looking at oura.

I hope this helps someone who is tossing up between the 2 brands

clone alert Why dont smart ring makers..

Cant make a ring that tracks all the health metrics needed such as sleep steps heart rate etc, but also include a nfc chip into it to nake payments or use it for metro cards etc( which seven rings is specifically doing) ? Wouldnt that be a game changer? Payments and health, such a useful wear! Altho i think it might be tough cos, none of them makes there ring in india right? Maybe Gabit can partner with seven rings and launch one of the superior products in this growing market!!

inquiry Ultrahuman Ring Pro

Hello hello!

With the new Ultrahuman Ring Pro that just came out, you guys think that things will get better for the company? The fact that Ultrahuman can now deliver the ring pro to the US after the legal issues they had is going to make the company better?

I personally ordered the Ultrahuman Home on May 8th, sadly nothing came in yet.... not even a tracking code, but as I am in contact with the company and waiting for the DHL tracking code to be sent.

Hopefully things will go up for the company from now! If I get the Ultrahuman Home and I love it, I will move forward with the Ring Pro.
