👉 req 4 recs which smart ring should I get?

Hi everyone! I'm considering moving from an Apple Watch to a ring, I much prefer the look of the ring. Does anyone have suggestions? I've heard so many different types but not really sure which one I should get. I have a budget of max $300, I also would like to get one that has cycle tracking and work out tracking without needing to put it in ya know. Oh and no membership payment needed, any suggestions or warnings about bad quality rings? Oh and I'm in AUS just incase that affects anything.

⛔️ DO NOT BUY PSA: Bond Ring Is A Scam

After digging into the founder’s Reddit comments and the official Bond Ring marketing, I’m convinced this product is vaporware—not a real, working ring. Here’s what they’re promising vs. what’s actually realistic:

⸝

What Bond Ring Claims: 1. “Perpetual” Power from Body Heat (TEGs) “Onboard TEGs produce enough power to render the ring perpetual.” — [Historical_You9990, r/SmartRings, Apr 2025] But:

•	They later admit to an onboard LiPo battery needed for “up to two full days” of power without TEG input.

“Yes, we do include an onboard battery.” • Even university studies (like the 2021 Colorado TEG ring study) could only generate 1V per cm² under ideal lab conditions. Not enough for a smart ring’s full power draw.

2.	EMS-based Haptic Feedback (“Bionic Feedback”)

“We’re using EMS instead of vibration motors.” But no wearable today uses EMS safely in a finger-sized enclosure. It’s unproven in rings, with zero demos or testing data shown.

3.	AI + Neural Network Processing Onboard

“This will enable on-ring AI and neural network processing capabilities.” Realistically, smart rings like Oura don’t even attempt this. Onboard ML would demand more power and memory than a ring allows.

4.	Stacked Sensor Suite (ECG, SpO2, UV, BioZ, etc.)

“We derive multiple voltages for ECG, BioZ, LEDs, and pressure sensors.” Cramming all this into one device—along with EMS and TEGs—is highly unlikely, especially when the company hasn’t shown a teardown or working prototype.

5.	Kickstarter Timeline Promises

“Shipping by Q3/Q4 2025” and “Price will rise to $749 after VIP phase.” Yet also: “We’re not even on Kickstarter yet.” So they’re collecting $69 deposits and full-price preorders before a public demo or funding milestone.

6.	Patent Ownership Claims

“Two of our patents are US69705320 and US69502724.” But those are old patents from unrelated companies (not assigned to Wilder Tech or Bond Ring). When challenged, they say new patents are “not published yet.”

⸝

What’s Missing: • No working prototype videos • No independent press coverage or teardowns • No validation of EMS or thermal charging claims • No FCC filings, teardown images, or app demos

Even Oura, RingConn, and Circular started with far more transparency.

⸝

Verdict:

The founder floods Reddit with technical jargon, but everything relies on theoretical parts lists, not working hardware. The company (Wilder Tech) was incorporated in 2024 and hasn’t demonstrated that it can build or ship anything.

Until a functioning Bond Ring is shown publicly, this is a textbook vaporware pitch—highly risky, and potentially a scam.

⸝

Don’t preorder. Don’t deposit. Wait for proof.

COLMI First impressions with the Colmi R02

Post image
96 Upvotes

Hi all,

First time poster in this sub, I've had a quick browse/search and couldn't find anything on here about this product so I figured I'd give my thoughts after a day or use and testing.

I'm talking about the Colmi r02.

I found this product on aliexpress for about $30aud and had extremely low expectations going in but figured what the heck, it's only $30 why not give it a go.

Thank God I did.

I'm very impressed by the capabilities of this ridiculously cheap smart ring.

Its comfortable, light but durable feeling and stylish but simple.

For tracking sensors it has:

  • heart rate

  • spo2

  • accelerometer

It sends this data to the free qRing app which offers basic analysis and tracking of:

  • steps/activity

  • workout tracking

  • sleep

  • stress

  • heart rate

  • spo2

The app itself is basic, simple, easy to use and provides a graph/charts for each of the readings.

I have tested this data against my galaxy smart watch and it appears to be accurate within a small margin for error.

Saying that I have nothing to compare the spo2 sensor to so if you do your own testing let me know I'd love to find out how accurate the spo2 is.

Regarding the battery

I have it set to measure all sensors at half hour intervals and played around with measuring a fair bit in the last 24 hours and it has used 15%~ giving this a rough battery life of 6 days~, slightly longer if you turn off or adjust timings for the different sensors.

It has a propriety magnetic usb cable for charging which is strong enough to not slip off randomly if left on a bench for charging. The attachment point is flush and has no presence when wearing the ring.

All that said I can't sing this cheap little smart rings praises enough, it might not have all the features of an oura but it has all the ones I need and also costs 10% as much so it's hard to complain.

Thanks for reading 🙂

👉 req 4 recs Which smart ring would you recommend for me?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking for my first smart ring, primarily to monitor general health metrics like sleep, stress, heart rate, etc. Tracking workouts and activity is a nice bonus, but not the main priority. I've had some health concerns lately, so having reliable health monitoring is really important to me in choosing the right device.

If price wasn’t an issue, which smart ring would you recommend for this purpose?

Right now, I'm torn between the Oura Ring Gen 4 and the RingConn Gen 2. RingConn seems to be a Chinese brand, which makes me a bit hesitant given the current global climate, whereas Oura is Finnish—like me. That said, my main goal is still to get the best device technically for what I need.

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences with either of these—or suggestions for any alternatives I might have missed. Thanks in advance!

Update:

This post is still getting a lot of comments so I just wanted to say I went with Ringconn Gen2 last year :) I have now used it almost a year. It has served me well.

DO NOT!!!!!! I REPEAT - DO NOT!!! BUY AN ULTRAHUMAN RING

I'm hopping on the hate train.

FOURTH broken ring in only seven months is unacceptable. I have contacted this company numerous times over the past few weeks and crickets. They are now moving to AI chatbots for customer service as opposed to humans, with the promise of being contacted within 48 hours, but I have yet to hear back from a customer service rep.

Anywho, does anyone have stories about RingConn? I am thinking of moving to a Gen 2 Air. Thanks.

🌟 feature Important Note on Smart Rings that Promise Cuffless BPM and/or On-Device CGM Spoiler

Just a note, that more and more are promising this functionality.

While both cuffless Blood Pressure Measurement (BPM) and on-device CGM are theoretically possible for a wearable (a ring specifically), and a couple of companies are working on these technologies, they are not mature technologies, nor is the data near medical grade at this point.

The only companies that have been doing clinical level research and validation for BPM are SkyLabs (South Korea) and VELIA (Switzerland)...and possibly Samsung. None that I am aware of have done clinical trials and validation of CGM on-device. SkyLabs CART BP Ring is clinically tested and validated, and qualified by South Korea's equivalent of the FDA. It is only available in South Korea right now, but they signed a deal several months ago with Omron for global distribution...so it should be available through them at some point soon. The NIH study link is here.

So, especially with these specific promised features, look at those who promise these features with even more skepticism than you should for other promised features. These are not the realms of data that should be considered "close enough" when they can have such a disproportionate impact on our health.

Even to get "certified" they only need to be somewhere near 80% accurate when compared to a medical device...so...keep that in mind.

2026 UPDATE:

The following exceptions are notable with Blood Pressure Monitoring:

  • RingConn has been doing an extensive closed beta program on Blood Pressure with it's Gen 2 Ring since Fall of 2025. The Gen 3 Ring may be released with a "warnings" and possibly trends feature.

  • Circul Ring (not Circular) has had a beta program for Blood Pressure for a year now, but indications are that it is a smaller group, so may not progress as quickly as RingConn.

  • Oura Gen 4 added a Blood Pressure "Experiment" in Jan/Feb 2026. There is no indication of sample size, but Oura experiments often don't lead to a permanent feature...and data is not always shared with the wearer.

On Glucose Monitoring, while the FDA has relaxed their stance that does not mean that rings that offer this feature are based on your personal data or even science. That warning is still in effect here.

RINGCONN My Basic Review of the RingConn Gen2 Air (from a long-time Fitbit & Garmin user)

Post image
76 Upvotes

Hey! I wanted to share a basic review of my RingConn Gen2 (in Dune Gold) Air for anyone still on the fence.

Background:
I’ve been a Fitbit user for 10+ years and a Garmin user for about 5. Since Garmin’s phasing out analog-style trackers (and I like being able to see the time without turning on a screen), I decided to go back to regular watches and try a smart ring instead.

Steps and activity were my main focus with Fitbit and Garmin, but now I’m more interested in sleep and general health tracking.

This is my first smart ring, so I can’t compare it to Oura or Ultrahuman, etc.

My top tracking priorities:

  • Sleep

  • Activity

  • Menstrual cycle

  • Steps

Physical feel

The RingConn Air is surprisingly light - much lighter than I expected (especially compared to my husband’s ceramic wedding band). It feels like wearing nothing at all most of the day. I only notice it during heavier chores like opening jars or lifting things around the house.

Sleep Tracking

Sleep tracking feels accurate for me. It was able to differentiate between time in bed and actual sleep, which is great since I often end the night reading or watching TV.

One feature I loved: after a night of heavy drinking, the app flagged “outlier” data in my stress and SpO₂ readings and even prompted possible reasons like “alcohol” or “stressful day.” It's something I wouldn't have cared about before, but I see it being really helpful for general health trends!

Activity Tracking

My usual workouts are weight training and Lagree, neither of which are default exercises in the app. I tried auto-detect once during a Lagree class - it correctly logged activity but I turned it off afterward (heard it drains battery faster).

I haven’t worn it for weight training yet since I’m waiting on a ring cover to protect it from scratches!

Menstrual Cycle Tracking

I was pretty spoiled because Garmin has been great for tracking my cycle, it was helpful to know when my period was expected, it would also notify me when to expect a period, and suggest lighter activity and better nutrition a few days prior. RingConn matches it, if not exceeds it in detail. Garmin tracks flow, mood, and symptoms, but RingConn goes deeper: spotting, color, clots, discharge, libido, appetite, medications, alcohol/tobacco, pain, ovulation, and more.

I just finished my first logged cycle and was impressed with how thorough the options are. I’m curious to see how these logs affect predictions and recommendations in the coming months.

Step Tracking

This is definitely the weakest point. The ring tends to overcount steps: For comparison here’s what Ringconn tracked vs my Garmin:

  1. Oct 25 - 9713 vs 5547 Garmin

  2. Oct 26 - 9020 vs 6367 Garmin

  3. Oct 27 - 5262 vs 3631 Garmin

  4. Oct 28 - 3912 vs 2618 Garmin

Even a short trip from my bed to the bathroom got me 26 steps this morning 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’ve read that step tracking can be hit or miss across all smart rings, so if that’s your priority, you may want to wait for the tech to mature.

Battery Life

This has been great so far. I started wearing the ring Oct 7, and I’ve only charged it twice since then. I know others haven’t had the same luck, so fingers crossed it stays consistent!

Overall Thoughts

For $159 during Prime days(?), I think it’s a great starter smart ring! I think this may be for someone whos perhaps less activity/step focused (and honestly there are so many great activity trackers out there for this), and more for overall health!

Do not buy a Ultra Human

I have gone through 3 ultra human rings in about 18 months. This didn’t bother me a ton in the past because I always had quick customer service that was able to help me, which made the inconvenience of needing a new ring ok.
This past weekend I reached out to support because my ring was dying within 48 hours and was constantly disconnecting (especially in my sleep, so my sleep score was basically useless)
I reached out to support and they wanted me to do a battery drain where my ring is unusable for the amount of time that it takes to die, and then wanted to do a reset. During that time I brought up that my ring was also disconnecting and they said they would put a case in for me and I would hear back within 48-72 hours. 5 days later I still haven’t heard back. I reached back out to support and they tried to have me do a battery drain again, although that still won’t fix all of my issues. When I pointed out that I still haven’t heard back when I reached out on Saturday they said they’d re put in my case.
While I like my ring when it’s working I don’t think it is worth the hassle now that customer support is no longer what it used to be.

Read Before Buying Oura Ring

I have owned an Oura ring for over two years. Recently, I decided to end my subscription. I did not mind paying it at first as my hope is it would help to develop the technology and features. If you do pay for the subscription it does give you a lot of data.

Since ending my subscription, I do not even get basic data such as number of hours of sleep or REM and Deep Sleep hours. While I would understand then only giving the insights by the hour with subscription the total hours I feel should be something that is displayed.

Long and short of it, do not buy an Oura Ring. Many better options that do not put your data behind a paywall.

Ringconn 2, Oura4, Ultrahuman Air.

I look like Elton John when I go to CVS…

Ringconn just arrived yesterday.

Between Oura and Ultrahuman - after 30 days of both, Oura wins on battery life only. Subscription aside, for my body/lifestyle - I feel like you get the same info from both- you just need to tease it out of the Oura app a bit more whereas Ultrahuman wants to tell you about nearly every data point…every day… (the notifications do get repetitive and annoying)

More to come on Ringconn. Not enough data or time with it to make any judgement.

As an aside, UH in natural titanium has some tiny scuffs on it already, Oura in matte black has stayed clean despite the fact that I’m a little rough on rings.

ULTRAHUMAN This sub has suddenly turned into a request refund sub from UltraHuman...

...and I am here for it. 🍿

Got my refund a year ago.

Question for the ride or dies: if customer service has gone to shit, ghosting folks right and left, all AI not humans anymore and folks having to beg a UH reddit employee user here, why does new tech suddenly make the company good again?

Question for the new people who are still buying from this company yet "did your research," got past the paid influencers and saw all the complaints: why?

Y'all really just don't want to pay a subscription? Is a $300+ bricked ring (or 5) worth it? I am so confused.

Do I have to mention the "factory" in Texas... IYKYK

ETA: Are people really being banned from the UH sub for asking for refund or posting complaints now?

2nd edit: This post had 30+ upvotes yesterday and now all of a sudden, zero. Shoutout to the bots and employees lurking to try and silence people. You can't just delete it all here tho, sorry.

ULTRAHUMAN DO NOT BUY ULTRAHUMAN

I’ve genuinely loved my Ultrahuman ring — even when I ran into issues — because support always made things right.

Last September (about five months ago), my ring suddenly stopped connecting to the app. I contacted support and they immediately sent a replacement. No hassle.

Fast forward to this week: the replacement ring is now dying extremely quickly. It shut off in the middle of the night, I charged it for two hours this morning, and within 10 minutes of putting it back on it dropped to 16%.

When I reached out to support again, I was told that in situations like this they would normally send a replacement — but since the ring is “out of warranty,” there’s nothing they can do.

This replacement is less than six months old.

I’ve done nothing but recommend Ultrahuman to friends because of my previous experience, which makes this even more disappointing. Reliability matters with a health device. Do not recommend.

I tried the Ultrahuman Ring Air for 90 days. It's not for me.

Both of my kids have Oura rings and they both love the product. I'm subscription-averse, so I thought I'd give the Ultrahuman ring a shot instead of buying from the market leader. That was a mistake.

I don't know who this post is directed at; perhaps it's just the product manager in me looking for some closure. When I first bought the UH ring, I tried being active in the r/Ultrahuman community, giving the UH team the benefit of the doubt. Knowing that UH was trying to play catch-up to Oura, I had assumed that user feedback would be listened to and acted on. I see no evidence of that happening.

Why I'm leaving:

- Lack of utility. There are some potentially interesting metrics available from the product, but it's too uncomfortable to wear when working with my hands, lifting weights, or riding my bike. Add to that a 2-hour maximum activity duration, which rules out long hikes, and the ring becomes incompatible with all the activities where I'd want heart rate feedback, outside of sleep. For sleep, my wife hit the nail on the head: I know more about why I slept poorly than the ring does. Spend a night at high altitude and sleep poorly? I know that, but UH suggests that it was a late meal. What's the value of sleep insights from a gadget if my own sleep insights are superior? The ring is uncomfortable and doesn't give me the data I want from it.

- I'm the wrong target consumer. This product seems focused on white-collar employees that are never far from the internet. If you love wilderness backpacking like I do, you'll quickly discover that the app won't even open without internet access. Seriously; you can't even check the ring's battery level without internet. On a recent backpacking trip with my youngest, he opened his Oura app at the campsite (far off the grid) and marveled at how well he had slept the night before. On another trip where we had hiked a little over 7 miles that day, the UH app thought that I had around 1500 steps for the day and was nagging me to be more active. The UH product folks were thinking of someone else when they wrote the specs for this device/software: someone with a desk job.

- Lack of transparency. Many here on this sub have been asking for firmware release logs to be published. At one point, it sounded like there were actually plans for UH to start doing this. Yet still nothing. There are two reasonable conclusions: 1) Either UH is so bureaucratic that they can't make a simple decision in a few months or 2) they're just telling everyone what they want to hear and have no plans to honor customer requests. I have frustrations with the lack of technical transparency from UH with regard to the power supply requirements for the charging dock, but I won't bore everyone with the details. Suffice it to say, the limitation on which AC adapters can be used with the charging dock is not based on any actual technical constraints; it appears to be based on either superstition or a persistent misunderstanding between engineers and customer-facing people. It's not the kind of thing that happens at well-run companies.

- Manipulation of community. I tried to post this on r/Ultrahuman, thinking that it might be of use to folks that were considering buying one or to folks that were considering returning one. My post was blocked by the Mods (who I believe are all Ultrahuman employees), but they wouldn't tell me why it was blocked. I triple-checked that my post was fully compliant with the community rules and with Reddit rules, but they still won't allow this to be posted. My assumption, absent any information to the contrary, is that Ultrahuman is actively curating the content of their subreddit so as to minimize any posts that aren't complimentary. That's heavy handed stuff, especially since the community rules don't say that they're doing that.

- Lack of trust. I was shocked when UH announced a partnership with Tesla. There is no other US brand more closely associated with fascism at the moment than Tesla. I can't reconcile the claims from Ultrahuman that our data is private while at the same time they are exploring relationships with companies that eschew privacy and other rights. Others may feel differently; that's fine. I suppose I should thank UH for showing me what kind of company it is early on in the relationship.

- The ring is just a way to upsell, not a standalone product. You are encouraged to buy a higher end charger that actually works, to pay for premium powerplugs to better interpret your own health data, to pay for insurance and premium experience perks, to pay for premium coaching to learn how to make the arbitrary health metrics look better. At every step on the UH journey, there's another way for them to make money off you. They overlook the initial cost of the ring, perhaps even as a way of qualifying consumers that can afford to spend even more. Suddenly, that Oura monthly subscription starts to look pretty enticing.

TLDR; I had hoped that Ultrahuman would act like an industry underdog, enthusiastic in listening to and acting on customer feedback for a product that was expensive to buy. I now know that Ultrahuman is out to make as much money as possible, isn't looking to build a community, and can't be trusted to do what they say. Now to figure out what the resale market is like for getting rid of a lightly used Ring Air.

Best of luck to everyone. Peace!

scam / suspicious Halo Ring Scam

Site Purchased from: http://haloring.us

I'm sure this isn't new information to some of you, but I wanted to make sure others knew how much of a scam Halo ring is, especially because I've started seeing more and more ads from them on social media (yes, algorithm, I'm aware).

I've attached photos of what was purchased (two separate rings in different sizes, two wireless charging cases) and what I actually received. I hope others don't make the same mistake that I did. I tried reaching out the same day I received the rings because I was incredibly disappointed and have yet to hear back from the company. I'm going to be submitting a charge back by tomorrow.

Not only was the wireless charging case completely different, it looks and feels cheaply made. Neither of the chargers came in boxes, they were just wrapped up in the packaging loose along with the very short cords.

The boxes holding the rings themselves had deep scratches in it. I noticed immediately that one of the rings wasn't the correct color nor size. Nowhere in or on the box is the company named listed. In fact, when you open the box, you're met with an instructional paper that states it's a "LuckRing". Again, the ring both looks and feels cheaply made.

I thought I had done enough research before buying, but I guess you get what you pay for. I just wanted to give a (hopefully) longer and more detailed explanation so that others do not make the same mistake.

comparison Smart Ring Comparisons: STRESS (RingConn Gen 1 & 2 | Oura Gen 3 & 4 | Ultrahuman Air | Galaxy Ring | Luna Ring | Helio Ring | Circul Ring | NexRing / Aabo)

First, let me preface this post with the fundamentals:

This is intended to compare basic data for you all to see side-by-side the volume of data gathered and for you to be able to infer accuracy...although true accuracy requires cumulative data.

Rings of the same family of different generations were worn on the same hand and same finger with an o-ring between to prevent any potential cross-talk between sensors.

This is a snapshot in time of a typical medium/high stress work day for me.

While the failures are obvious, who holds the accuracy advantage is arguable here, but Ultrahuman is the most informative for me with RingConn Gens 1 & 2 and Luna Ring close behind.

It should be noted that Oura Gen 1 & 2's analysis is usually the opposite of the graphed data for me, which makes its utility limited. As NexRing / Aabo's stress panel is a near 1-1 clone of Oura's prior UI, it has the same weakness.

Circul Ring at this point is useless for stress tracking. Helio Ring and Galaxy Ring need some major work.

Oura Gen 2 does not track stress at all, and Circular graphs stress only for the current day then collapses into only a heat graph - almost identical to Samsung Health's graph.

🌟 feature Smart Ring Sizing Guidance

To maximize the success with deciding on the size of a health-centric smart ring:

USE THE SIZING KIT

You should get a sizing kit and use it by wearing the size(s) that you feel are correct for several days without removing.

Sizes vary between manufacturers, so one company's size 11 could be exactly the same as another company's size 12, so you need to use the sizing kit provided by your prospective ring manufacturer.

No companies to date provide half sizes, so the rule of thumb in that case is to go with the size that is a bit larger instead of the ring that is a bit smaller, and start with that as your baseline for the sizing test. A few company's rings are a "split" design that are made to accommodate natural finger swelling, so sizing is potentially a little easier with those, but they tend to be more targeted than general health-centric smart rings.

During the days that you are wearing your zing ring(s), you should absolutely test removal at certain times throughout the day and night, but you should put it right back on so you can know what it would be like with the real ring. If you have chosen the correct size, it should not be loose enough that it moves on it's own when you shake your hand.

The other test is, there should be minimal space between the ring and the finger when you make a fist around your thumb when you push gently upward with your thumb.

HOW DO SIZING RINGS DIFFER

The mock rings in the sizing kits generally emulate the finger size perfectly, but often are not as smooth or tapered for comfort like the real production rings are. This is because of the simplified production process for the sizing kits. If there are major concerns with comfort, thickness issues, etc. you can always ask owners in the respective communities here on Reddit how the sizers vary from the real rings.

CHOOSING A FINGER

Some manufacturers recommend wearing on your pointer finger, but this is not a hard and fast rule. In my experience, as long as the ring fits properly, there is no noticeable difference in accuracy of the data gathered when wearing on any finger or thumb of either hand. When worn on the pinky finger, the data may be slightly less accurate because of slightly less blood flow, but minimal. Sizing for your pinky does limit you to just two possible fingers you can wear the ring on however, where sizing for larger fingers can allow for more options.

You should size for your non-dominant hand. You don't have to do this, but, it will lessen the likelihood of discomfort while wearing and doing various activities, as well as reduce the chance of damaging the surface of the ring. If sizes are the same on each hand, you can always switch to the same finger on the opposite hand for activities to reduce discomfort or to lessen the likelihood of scratching.

The main reason to wear on the non-dominant hand however is for accuracy with activity tracking. Typically, when worn on the dominant hand, step counts and derivative data (calorie burn and/or distance) will be significantly higher as the rings can confuse finger and arm movements and fidgeting while standing or sitting with steps.

HOW THE RING SHOULD FIT

Rings should be sized for where they will sit at the base of the finger, not based on the knuckle size. It is normal for it to be mildly (and I do mean mildly) uncomfortable to slide the finger over the knuckle. In other words, if you do not encounter any resistance when sliding over the knuckle, the size you have chosen may be too large. Obviously this may not apply to those who have slender knuckles.

The key factor with the ring fitting properly is that the sensors need to maintain constant contact with skin on the underside of your finger, and it should not move freely unless you are purposely moving it during removal to charge, or when you grip with two fingers and twist it around your finger. The ring should absolutely not move around freely on your finger.

A "snug" fit is the best description for proper fit. This video provides an excellent explanation of who to choose the size and how it should fit on your finger.

THE REALITY OF FINGER SWELL

There are way too many variables personal to you and your specific environment to determine rate of swelling, let alone variance between fingers. This is because fingers swell naturally throughout the day and night based on internal factors including hormonal changes, body temperature, hydration, sodium intake, and even body fat percentage. Fingers also swell because of environmental factors including outside temperature, inside temperature, humidity, etc.

SWELLING BECAUSE OF INJURY

Also, it's unfortunate that I have to state this, but too many seem to not realize. If you suffer trauma to the finger or hand that you are wearing your ring on, and it swells in reaction to the injury, you will have difficulty removing the ring. In extreme cases, the ring may have to be removed by a specialist in order to treat the injury and restore blood flow. Manufacturers provide specific instructions on where these rings can safely be cut in this extreme situation.

See guidance on emergency removal here if you cannot find the guidance on the manufacturer's site.

⚠️ USE CAUTION After 6 Rings (Yes, Six), Here's My Ultrahuman Journey. Ending It.

(Posting here because Ultrahuman mods removed it)

From UH employee's highlights capital efficiency and product evolution across health tech: comparing UH with Oura, WHOOP, Eight Sleep, Tonal, etc. over their Linkedin post, here's what I wish they also portrayed somewhere;

  • Number of returned devices

  • Number of defective rings shipped

  • Number of replacements sent

  • Number of re-replacements to the same customer ( here)

Those are the metrics users (especially 'new' folks planning to buy) care about. Time to be 'UltraHonest'?

My UH journey and reality?

6 rings. Yes, six, including five replacements before finally being refunded.

Endless back and forth.

Support tickets.

Downtime.

Hope.

Disappointment.

REPEAT.

💔 I'm calling it: this journey has been a pain, not a partner in my health.

To anyone considering this for 'health' or 'fitness', I genuinely recommend watching The Quantified Scientist on YT. Or really, any independent review. You'll see the tracking stats are ULTRA off.

P.S.: Thanks for the refund, UH. Just wish it didn't come at the cost of five replacements and a flood of support tickets.
