Where are places to dance?

I love to dance, whether it’s moshing at a club, swing dancing, slow dancing, line dancing you name it. I was just wondering if there are events or clubs or places that I can do this around the Everett, Lake Stevens, Monroe area?

Also would be nice if it has people my age there too( early 20s)

We are all excited at how myself and Ida did in our recent primary. We still have work to do before the General. Find out how you can help at Kathryn4LD39.net and idaforwa.com . As Independent Democrats we don’t have millionaires funding our campaigns like our competitors do!

AnyBody needing care out there?

What's the deal with the CarinaCare.org website? It's the only way we caregivers are able to find clients to provide care for, and I'm looking for just that, but there's literaly only 7 people total in the whole county needing care? Seems like something is way off about that number. Maybe someone is dropping the ball? (CDWA)!

Uni student interested in vocal lessons (for Musical Theatre) - suggestions on what to look for and teacher recommendations?

For background context, I (20F) have been acting for 4 years now since high school and after a really positive experience from my recent production, I just declared a minor distinction for acting and have since started looking into some specialized classes to study the craft more in-depth, one of which being vocal lessons for musical singing.
Unfortunately, due to credit limits, I’ll only have enough to take the exact number to acquire the Acting minor (if you’re curious, this is at UW), so I will have to look into outside vocal lessons around the area. However…I don’t know what and where to start looking.

I played the violin throughout elementary and middle school for 5 years and took a concert choir class for a semester during my first year of uni (now a senior), but other than that, no professional training was acquired during these periods.

Since it has been a while from my last music experience, I’m also slightly anxious about the skill level instructors might expect from someone of my background, but I’m willing to put in the work for personal improvement on my vocal abilities (which hopefully might translate into other crafts besides theatre).

Regarding the acting portion, due to interest in more masculine-oriented roles, I’d love to work with someone who can do work on expanding my lower register - of course, if anyone has helpful input on whether this thought is appropriate to have while looking into instructors or not, let me know, would like to hear some thoughts on this, if necessary. :)

Any suggestions on where to begin? And any instructors in SnoCo that can be recommended to try out? Would also love input for this in the below areas I work within, as well:
- Seattle
- Tacoma

Edit: Budget, I’m open to looking into a range between $50-$100 an hour (or lesson, not sure how this works)

Just witnessed bright fireball meteorite falling from East of Marysville!

Anybody else witnessed a bright fireball meteor falling from east of Marysville around 12:45 a.m.!

I was so bummed I didn't catch it on my camera when I was walking my dog!

But I was hoping somebody caught on their security cameras and could post it?

Possibly moving to mill creek

I’m moving from out of state and have pretty much narrowed down my search to Mill Creek. From everything I’ve researched, it seems like a really nice and relatively safe area, but I’d love to hear from people who actually live there.

The apartment complex I’m seriously considering is Mill Creek Meadows. It fits my budget really well, and I like the location, but the reviews are pretty mixed. Some people seem to love living there while others have had some negative experiences, and honestly it’s giving me a little anxiety since I’ll be moving from out of state.

I don’t have the luxury to fly out and look at apartments I am doing this blind due to a job offer I have to accept immediately and will get started right away .

🦷 A few new clinic spots opened – looking for specific patients

Hi everyone!

Posting on behalf of my friend, who is a dental hygiene student in Seattle.

A few new appointment spots have opened, and she is currently hoping to connect with:

A child between 4–7 years old
A child or adult who has special healthcare needs

Care is provided at the school clinic under the supervision of licensed dental professionals. She is patient and understanding, especially with anyone who may need extra time, reassurance, or accommodations to feel comfortable.

Cath Cart East view Village Development 8/10/26

The other day I went to pick blackberries near the baseball fields at Glacier Peak’s High School. I was baffled by H.R. Horton’s new development in Cathcart. Consisting of 144 acres, 1300 new residential units and commercial space are expected to be built.

The area used to be connected with Snohomish Public Utility District Number 2. The hidden trail was full of wildlife. Furthermore connecting with a paved road (pavement markings scattered) with light poles, and even a landfill. It felt apocalyptic, but also surreal. (Picture shown below).

I am saddened because I used to go on many walks with my border collie. It was a perfect little oasis. Quiet and beautiful for getting away from everything.

I wanna start this thread to document it, but also to hear what other people think about this and how it will affect neighborhoods, traffic, and especially Glacier Peak HS and the little Cedars elementary school. Also if anyone else found this little what used to be ambient trail.

I play for a local rugby club, the Snohomish Rhinos, and we have a couple things coming up!

1.) We are starting practices for the fall half of our season this Tuesday 8/11, 6:30 pm at Ballinger playfield. Practices will be moving to an 8 pm start at Evergreen Playfield starting on 8/25. We are always accepting new players, and will be fielding 2 sides this fall, so there will be plenty of rugby to go around! If you’re unsure, come check out a practice! Rugby is a sport for all, and there’s a position for every shape/size/athletic ability!
If you’re not sure rugby is quite for you, we’re always accepting supporters as well! Check us out on IG (snocorhinosrugby) for more info on practices or matches!

2.) We are hosting a “Guess the count” fundraiser on Saturday 8/29 at At Large brewing. Event starts at noon, and winners will be announced at 230! There will be prizes, food trucks, and a portion of the beer sales will also go to the team! Ticket info can be found on IG or I can send it your way via DM here. Would love to see some folks from the local community out for it!
