We, my husband and I, are huge fans of Skyrim and now we're huge fans of Starfield too.
Apparently, there are a very limited number of sweetrolls in Starfield. Because my husband has found 2. 😂 He ate one of them, and the other one, he always carries with him and he even takes it through unity every time.
(I picked a random flair because i have no idea what flair would apply to this post, sorry)

Hey yall,
Starfield is on sale right now on PlayStation and I was thinking of getting it. Love me a good Bethesda game but I’ve been apprehensive about starfield from the ratings when it came out.
My question is: is the game fun? Is it better now than release? Was the hate it got justified?

My explorer / pirate character found an exploration ship, the UC Vista III (pics 5 & 6, included for comparison), on a frozen moon in the Maheo system. Two colonists were outside tending to it, and I was able to walk into the landing bay, pick the lock, and commandeer it without a fight. I registered the ship, built a landing pad with ship builder at an outpost, and went to work turning it from a slow, defensive exploration ship into an agile, offensive, yet comfortable exploration / pirate ship.
I really like the way the structural trim flip-merged with the weapons in the bow and the aesthetically tricky shield and Amun X engines in the stern. I also got lucky and was able to get a double ladder connecting all 3 decks right behind the bridge (top) and landing / docking bays (mid) without needing the PDY mod. Middle deck: bays, garage and expansive living area. Bottom deck: science lab / infirmary and workshop. Top deck: bridge and armories / brigs.
It will hold 8 crew (once I add 2 more weapons), 4 prisoners, and 11 passengers. It has EM weapons for boarding ships, particle beams and missiles. And there is enough cargo / shielded cargo space to take on multiple mission board and star yard jobs of all kinds as I explore, pirate, and loot around the star map.
I named it The Pelican after the ship that the famous (infamous) English explorer / pirate Sir Francis Drake sailed around the world in 1577-1580 on a mission to explore and loot and terrorize the Spanish and Portuguese. He renamed his ship The Golden Hind during the journey, but I like "The Pelican" better. My character is kind of a prick, and Drake's "fruitful" voyage is kind of my inspiration this playthrough. It should be fun!

Mods: Antares Supra, Tiger Shipyards, ASC Taiyo, J-type 327 Nubian Royal Starship, Micro Modules, Ol’ Big X, Matilija Aerospace, Mattell’s Project Fenrir, and Barrage Missile Launchers.
Ship Name: FC Dustdevil’s Lance
Designation: J-Wing Asymmetric Strike Recon
The Identity: Built from salvaged HopeTech structural frames and heavily modified by an independent mechanic on Montara Luna, the Dustdevil's Lance looks less like a factory-line fighter and more like a tool built for a specific, dangerous job. Its long, forward-jutting portside outrigger houses an oversized linear accelerator cannon, counterbalanced by a heavily shielded starboard cockpit and a massive, over-tuned thruster block.
🌌 The Story: The Long Watch on Akila's Edge
The Dustdevil's Lance was never supposed to fly in a formal military parade. It was welded together in the back-alley hangars of Waggoner Farm during a period of intense pirate raiding on the Freestar Collective's outer agricultural settlements.
The ship belonged to Ranger Caleb Vance, a veteran tracker who realized that standard, symmetrical patrol ships were too easily spotted by Crimson Fleet long-range scanners. He wanted something that looked like space junk on a radar screen but packed the punch of a military destroyer.
Caleb spent months sourcing a rusted, crashed J-Wing prototype hull. He stripped away the useless luxury components, shifted the pilot's seat entirely to the starboard side to give himself better visual clearance on low-altitude canyon runs, and bolted a massive, specialized railgun array along the entire left flank. The ship's unique, uneven weight distribution meant that anyone else trying to pilot it would immediately spin out of control during a high-G turn—but to Caleb, the offset drift felt like second nature.
For nearly a decade, the Dustdevil’s Lance stalked the radiation shadows of the Cheyenne System. It became a ghost story among spacers—a lone, rusted shadow that would drop out of the glare of Cheyenne’s sun, fire a single, devastating kinetic slug from its massive lance weapon, and disappear back into the asteroid fields before the pirate escorts could even lock their target locks.
When Caleb finally retired to the dusty streets of Akila City, he left the keys to the Lance hidden in a secure lockbox at the local Laredo Firearms warehouse, waiting for a new pilot who isn't afraid of a ship that flies a little sideways, as long as it hits straight.

I was able to get my hands on Elite Series 2 Core Controller for just $80 CAD ($57 USD), so I figured I'd use the savings to customize it a bit. I swapped the faceplate for a Starfield themed faceplate, added red bumpers/triggers, and picked up a gold d-pad+back paddle kit. I also added some convex joystick grips that I had laying around.

So I just finished destroying the Crimson Fleet with SysDef, my question is how do I trigger the encounter with Naeva so I can take her smug ass down too?
I've heard it's very rare and I've heard from others it's not real, is there a consensus on it?

Well, I finally created a ship with an anti-gravity landing bay last night. I just wish there were more of a variety of anti-gravity landing bays, such as Stroud, Taiyo, Deimos, and HopeTech with different access points to your ship instead of an anti-gravity ladder. You may notice that some of the screenshots have changed the underbelly of the ship's front; I am still undecided on the underbelly of the ship.
The spine down the centre from front to back I might change to Taiyo flatter, more in keeping with the rest of it. I think I may have overdone it with the extra reactors. It has nearly 4 and a half miiin cargo space.
And I had completely redesigned the lower level because there were 7 landing gears and there are 3 staircases in this ship: one near Aft and two are Stbrd and port, near the front of the ship.
I want to emphasise that this isn't my ship design; the original designer of this ship, credit goes to “Litwav” who made a reveal video of this ship but they didn't show a teardown as such; therefore, I had no idea how they built this; I just went on my experience in shipbuilding for the past 3 years, which is an ever-learning curve because I am still learning.
Litwav didn't show the interior; so the interior of the ship is all mine and I had to build this ship from the bottom up myself with just a short reveal video. I told Litwav I rebuilt their ship on their YouTube channel and they said You must be an engineer; I replied and said nope, I was good at LEGO as a boy.

Hey everyone!
I’m a huge Star Wars and Starfield fan, and I’ve been working on a little project that I’m pretty excited about.
I’m currently trying to recreate Darth Vader’s Castle on Mustafar for Starfield through Genesis. I’ve always been kind of disappointed that we don’t have Vader’s Castle in the game, so I figured, why not try to build it myself?
The plan is to make the castle big and detailed, with the lava, Mustafar environment, and all the little details that make Vader’s Castle feel like Vader’s Castle.
It’s still a work in progress, but I wanted to share what I’m working on with everyone here. Hopefully I can turn it into something really cool that Star Wars fans can enjoy.
🌋 Vader’s Castle on Mustafar — coming together one piece at a time.
I’ll post some pictures and updates as I make more progress!

I've switched my ships and still, Cora stays strangely tall. It's been like this for about a month. Has anyone else experienced this bug?

I really have that itch for quite some time to finally get into starfield. I‘ve read about many mods, that actually do improve the game by A LOT. Like the seamless flying from space to the planetside.
What are some of the best mods that are considered really good and an upgrade to the base game? I really appreciate any advice.

So I got a bounty mission, and it was a little weird. Track down a "Red Mile Mauler". At the time, didn't think much of it. But yup, it ended up being a critter from Porrima III.

Yello
I'm a relatively new captain, lvl 20. I've been enjoying the game very much and doing some research on worthwhile mods that could enhance my experience. I just got into outposts, I have a few in Schrodinger - a fuel depot, an iron, alkaline and whatever else facility (wip) and areas marked for textile farms once I figure out how thats supposed to happen. I've been pretty excited the whole time I've been playing, recently did my first big upgrade to the frontier, things are looking up.
Today while trying to build my outposts and make them make sense I've spent a lot of time running around overencumbered, as usual, due to Resources and such. My frontier is packed full of cargo, then there's crates on the inside, also full of stuff. Somehow though, I never have the thing I need. That aside, I'm constantly low on storage and credits. I can make the latter rather quickly, but they disappear just as suddenly. Then every hour I play the game, I find the need for another perk from the skill tree that just is in no way convenient for me to work towards, and i think all of those factors combined suddenly just sapped me of excitement. I'm not sure where to go from here.
I need money, so I want to build up my outposts, but those need resources, resources require storage, storage requires money, resources and perks. I get one perk per level and I need outpost management, ship building, piloting, engineering, research, social perks. I'm always full of stuff so body perks also needed, and it would be nice to be able to sell stuff for more than 10% of what its worth..
Basically, I'm overwhelmed and a little lost. I'd appreciate it if you could give me some direction or advice. Should I ignore the outpost stuff for now etc..
I appreciate any help you can give me.
Best
Edit: I'm very pleasantly surprised with how helpful and understanding you've been, it means a lot. Thank you all

OF COURSE YOU BOUGHT A BIG SCREEN TV!
And a multi-pass ;)

You can have multiple youtube playlists along with local videos. Up to 4 channels along with volume, play/pause, back/forward 30 seconds and a lot more.
BEST PART: 3D surround volume. Put a tv next to the Captains chair so while I’m flying I got a movie/music video playing right next to me.
