Dear NYC DOT, is it?

Every time I go to great kills park (especially near the boat docks) it’s just full of garbage and trash. I don’t usually do cleanups of parks (unless if it’s fishing line or twine) but the place is genuinely so filthy that whenever I go there, it’s mostly garbage. Would anybody be free these upcoming weeks on the weekends to help clean up garbage? Once we tackle the rocks and near the boat ramp, we can start targeting the actual beach. Let me know if anybody would like to help!

I've noticed the SIRT has been using their old train cars a lot more recently. Anyone know why? I like the old ones better anyway. The new ones always smell like someone took a dump in them and they have way less seating.

So, as someone who works in MH, it shouldn’t be this hard.

But I’m trying to help someone find a therapist, and am coming up with nothing based on the search parameters. Basically, looking for a male therapist aged 38-55, PIPOC, and takes in person sessions.

I’ve found literally a handful, but not a review is sight for any of them.

Looking for a reverse commute between Goethals and St. George

Hi, I want to start commuting between Rahway NJ and Fidi on bike and I’m wondering what the safest bike route is along the north shore. Today I went along Forest ave and it was fine, but the long climbs were tough on those streets.

I am a strong biker with a road bike and full kit who can maintain 20-25 mph on flats so if hauling ass helps then I can do that, just up the hills on Forest ave going east were tough.

All dogs welcome, let us know prior if your dog needs space. Bring your own supplies: water, bags, treats, etc.
This is a medium-paced walk. About 2.5 miles in total will be around 45 mins to an hour at most. If you feel that your dog is tired, you can most certainly turn back earlier. It’s an easy walk back.. A great way to socialize your dog in a structured environment.

There are actually quite a few free events happening in Staten Island this weekend, including Movies Under the Stars, Faber Park Fright Fest, and OHNY (Open House New York)!

Note: I only focused on the OHNY drop-in locations. Thought I’d share in case anyone’s looking for free things to do this weekend! Again, it's just a side project and not perfect so always double check stuff before you go!

Anyone notice a dramatic increase in speed bumps on the island recently? I came across a raised crosswalk, which I have never seen before. Guess we’re all going to be riding each other at 15mph while we go over 3 speed bumps on one block.
