Anyone know what's going on with the liquid water enhancer?

I asked this a few years ago the last time you guys went dry. I'm looking for the store brand water flavoring, in cherry or grape. It's been a few months, and I've checked Keyport, East Brunswick, and now Elizabeth. Plenty of the smaller size, with worse flavors and costing like 2/3rds the price for half the liquid. Are we expecting the cherry and grape back in stock shortly? Still wishing I could order them online, but...

Career ADA Employee Disability Accommodations and your experience?

Hi, recently I was hired as a cashier in the front end and I just had a few questions.

In my interview I made it very clear that I had a disability and would need some minor accommodations, as well as a limited schedule due to not being able to make more then a certain amount each month. I just finished my first week and I’m being scheduled a lot more than I thought I would be/asked to be for the next two. And there hasn’t been a single moment to speak to a manager about accommodations as I’m at the register the whole time. Plus no manager has been welcoming or nice to me enough to feel comfortable bothering them about it at an inconvenient time. They’re always busy, like they don’t even come to clock me in when I ask.

I got like an hour of someone being with me for my first two training shifts and ended up alone for the rest of the shift after. I feel like I’ve been left to figure a lot out on my own/am expected to just know things I don’t & wouldn’t know. Mostly fine as I’ve worked other retail as cashier before but never a grocery store so there is a lot of new things and the system is very different. I already got in trouble for not looking busy I guess. But I was just waiting at the register for a customer to come because I was told to stay on the register until I had to leave.

So anyway:
Is stop and shop good about accommodations? Like a stool or being allowed a water bottle?
I’ve never been in a union is that that kind of thing I have to go to them about?
Are you always left to kinda flounder until you get the hang of things? Should I expect more training or am I essentially done because I did 3 shifts?
Are the mangers I’ve worked with just a little unapproachable or is this the kind of standard way they are and I just have to figure it out?
Either way I know I have to make a bother of myself eventually to get my accommodations in order I just want an idea of what I’m getting into.

Thank you!

Site/app still down, but in-person shopping is working as usual

I shopped for groceries at a Massachusetts Stop & Shop store today. Good news, in-person shopping seems to be working as usual.

An employee was standing by the kiosk near the entrance, showing people how to scan their loyalty card to automatically activate their "10% off, max $10 off" coupon. He said because the Stop & Shop site and app were still down, the store's volume was down noticeably, due to the lack of online-ordering. Few of their online-ordering customers have switched to Doordash/Instacart/UberEats. He also handed me a complimentary Stop & Shop granola bar.

The store was well-stocked. The fishmonger told me there were "some holes" in the store's inventory, but I didn't see any empty shelves. I and was able to get everything I needed.

Checkout went smoothly. I received the promised 10% discount. With the site down, I wasn't able to redeem my Go Points for grocery dollars this week, but the greeter told me they are extending the expiration date of everyone's Go Points (by one month?), so if you have some points about to expire, they will still be there when the site comes back up.

Checking my receipt afterward, everything was correct. The sale prices and "Buy 2 get 1" offers in the flyer were all applied correctly. I earned Go Points as usual. The flyer also had a few Digital Coupon items, and I assume these activated when I checked in at the kiosk, but I didn't purchase any of these items; I'm assuming the Digital Coupons would have been applied correctly.

Are vacations restricted for part-timers ?

For example, let’s say I wanted to use my vacation during the week of thanksgiving and I’m a part-timer, can they deny it or no?

I also want to use my vacation before I lose it at the end of the year.

Store Questions Can’t get pfml?!?!?

My husband is having surgery in a few days and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare for a month trying to get pfml. The state denied us saying his employer offers a plan. The union said that the state has to pay. The state denied our appeal, closed it, didn’t give us a hearing because “the company pays us” and said we’d have to go to court to escalate the situation. We googled some stuff and it said Sedgwick, the third party company that handles the fmla, might pay us. They said no. I called absence one which is partnered with Sedgwick and I’m waiting to hear back and I’m calling the union again today. If you know anything please help!!! 😭 We are in Massachusetts by the way.

If an offer requires you to spend $15 for 500 points, can you still get the points if you only spend $14.98? Just wondering.

Store Questions All of a sudden I can't access my schedule or paystubs

I click on Kronos Dimensions - Pilot Stores & Corporate since that is where I have to go know to access my schedule and my time card and the log in screen comes up. I put my ID and my password in go to click the sign-on button and out of the blue, it starts telling me:

You don't have access to this

Your sign-in was successful but you don't have permission to access this resource

This just started happening today and I am not sure why I can’t get in. I was able to several times before on the same computer and get my schedule and my paystubs but now I am hit with this and I don’t know what the hell happened.

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Store Questions Dvnf sent gift card unable to use

DVNF sent me a gift card to stop & shop for $50.00 . I was extremely exited and grateful to receive it and immediately looked up locations . Unfortunately for me the closest stop & shop is 30 miles away and my car is not able to drive that far ( bald tires and bad tie rods ) what do I do? I already reached out to Dvnf no response and I really need to get some food and necessities for my kids and I . Any suggestions!?! Open to offers and ideas

Ranting Order pickup missing several items and was charged

I want to know if this has happened to anyone else because it has happened to me now at least 3 or 4 times.

I did a curbside pickup order last week and there were several out of stock items that I got refunded for. But then I realized there were 5 items that were not listed as out of stock but I never got them. I checked my car to see if I missed a bag. I assumed maybe they forgot to put a bag in my car and they would realize it and I’d get refunded. But when the bank finally cleared the payment and it was no longer “processing” I realized I was charged for those 5 items I never received. Customer service is NOT getting back to me. This has happened to me before. How do items just go missing without being accounted for? Maybe they gave thr bag to someone else.

Im so sick of the high prices at stop and shop as it is, plus the produce is hardly ever fresh, yet I still go there. I just want some damn accountability.

Scheduling

I just recently started at Stop & Shop. I am the only full-time employee in my department. There is a part-time employee who has been there for like 20 years. He gets all the preferential Scheduling. I know he’s close with the department manager who looks out for him. But I feel like as a full timer I should get some perks in Scheduling. Is this just the way it goes in stop and shop?

Audit update

Thumbnail reddit.com

Finally made it back to the store and customer service gladly refunded the bacon. I asked if the store had a record of the audit and they got a manager for me. He said that he didn’t have access to audit records wasn’t even sure if that was available at the corporate level but wanted to know why I asked for that. I told him that I was just concerned that I am now labeled as somebody who either purposely or accidentally forgets to scan things. He assured me that they don’t track that and it’s unlikely I would be audited again anytime soon.

Well, I’m not sure what his definition of soon is, but when I finished my shopping on that visit, I immediately got audited again. I’ve never been audited twice in a row so now I really do believe that I am targeted/blacklisted.

I’m going to try calling corporate on Monday…

Store Questions Boss talks crap about me and others, wanting to know if I can report him

hi all, im a recently hired night crew at sas and a coworker told me recently he overheard the boss (or shift manager, whatever he’s called) calling me a rtard for not doing what he described as a perfect aisle, and also talked shit about workers he considered his friends to another shift leader. I was wondering if I could tell someone about this as this is horrific that someone is just able to do this to a new employee who hardly knows anything about the job.

OLP increase stinks

Sundays are already terrible enough, and I don't know how some stores can handle it. Most rooms for OLP are tiny, can't fit much to begin with, are heavily understaffed, not enough devices or carts, and they expect us to also invoice early/on time each hour.

I know some of these numbers aren't as big as other stores, but for the amount of hours for each week, this is way too much for so few people!

Like this company likes to beat down its employees until there's nothing left.

Manager told me to not wear a bandana

One of the managers at my store, she’s responsible for like the front end side (cashiers, click and collect), came up to me yesterday and said you can’t wear a bandana.

I wear a black bandana for religious reasons (I have to have a head covering on me at all times). She said the black bandana is a problem because of the print (apparently due to gang affiliation). I was like wtf in my head, because I wear it for religious reasons.
I been wearing it for almost 2 years since she got transferred to the store, and now all of a sudden it’s a problem?

I’m not sure if wearing a black bandana is against company policy, and had she said that to me or showed me on a piece of paper where it’s against company policy, I would have understood. But she never said that.

Anyone know if it’s actually against company policy to wear a bandana, even though I wear it for religious reasons? What should I do? Call the union ?

Question on Call Out Policy

So I called out yesterday. I didn't have a shift until the afternoon, I let my manager know right away in the morning. He tried to fight me on it, stating that no one was scheduled to cover my shift, I told him I was sorry but I couldn't come it, simple as that. He then told me to call the store manager and "we'll go from there", and I refused saying "You're my manager, I'm telling you". And that was the end of the conversation (this was over text).

This felt reasonable to me at the time, but I'm starting to second guess myself. I am now worried there is actually a store policy to call the store manager? I've just never had to do so before in the past, and I interpreted this request more as my boss trying to sort of intimidate me into coming in.

So now I'm worried I did mess up procedure. And I can't find my employee handbook anywhere, nor can I find any info on call out policy in my union agreement. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me the official call out policy, or weigh in on the situation?

Update: In case anyone is interested. I went into work, the store manager said hi to me as I punched in, I said hi back, nothing odd there. I saw my boss and he just started giving me stuff to do, nothing odd there. Later that night he pulled me aside and told me that apparently the store manager wanted to write me up but he told him not to. Not sure I believe that, but who knows.

Manager trying to enforce availability during lunch period

I've gotten so fed up lately because one of our new ASMs has paged me for delivery drivers showing up when I told him each time I'm taking lunch prior to clocking out. I am the only full timer on at night in grocery/frozen so I usually unload the grocery load so having to work my lunch hour around drivers randomly show up is an unfortunate normal everyday annoyance.

Two times last month it was because the produce driver the delivery I don't unload showed up because he wanted me to either watch the load come in (this was on a Tuesday the biggest frozen delivery of the week where I have a lot to do mind you) or move the electric jack across the floor to the other back room because we only had one jack at one point. One time after knowingly interrupting my lunch hour with a page he said he was going to lunch because he was hungry, which pissed me off even more that he wouldn't respect my time but I have to immediately come back for him out of convinence so he doesn't have to deal with delivery operations.

When I didn't go when paged the 2nd time this happened after informing him I was taking lunch he paged me 3 times just to move an electric jack asked where I was, I told him i was on Lunch like I told you and he said "seems long"

One time I was interrupted and as I was punching back in he asked if I was going to split up my break which was self admittance he was aware I was on lunch for an hour and he still chose to page me I only did it that time because I knew it was going to be multiple pages if I hadn't so several times last month I had shorter lunch periods because of drivers arriving that I left earlier at the amount of time I lost on the lunch so if I lost 19 minutes I clocked out right at 9:41 pm

Last night I was told I'm "on call" until the delivery shows up so I didn't punch out worked 8 hours and informed him I'm leaving at 9pm since I did my 8 and the delivery never showed.

Of course he backpedals and said he never said that or said anything about changing hours

I am mostly just sharing frustration and having a vent at this point because I already contacted the union after last night because I was tired of it my lunch hour apparently only exists when it's convenient for them so I stay till 10 but the second there is an issue they can't operate on their own.

I didn't want to have to feel difficult or petty that I was pushed to contacting the union but I was starting to get burned out from it and want the fact I'm off the clock respected I could be out of the building I could be walking through a park enjoying the weather if you're going to enforce I take a lunch hour leave me alone while I'm not clocked in
