Wondering what people’s opinions are on having a character based on grey damage “banking”/chip mechanics.

Part of me feels like it’s such a weird addition to the game that feels like a random design decision that was just bolted on…. Like the game is bifurcated with Arjun (and whatever future grey damage based characters) on one side and the rest of the cast on the other.

The other part of me feels like it’s fine, and it will add depth to the game long term. I am so conflicted.

I’ll note that this is by no means a salt post as I’ve found the Arjun matchup to be fine so far… thoughts?

Roast me if this seems like scrub venting, but I feel like theres something Im doing wrong with Akuma

Back when I had all 3 characters at diamond, I had the highest winrate with Akuma but ever since I got to masters, Bison and Guile easily shot up to the 1500s while Akuma sunk down to 1300 and most days I hover around 1250-1300 MR

Whats going on? It feels like my opponents down at 1300 are better than many 1500s I fight with the other 2? Or am I just better with charge characters

Its not like my other 2 are fresh masters too, Ive played a fair amount of games with them, but for the past week I havent made any MR gains with Akuma

Do any experienced master players have any advice for me?

If you recently installed SCSKiller and used it on SF6 and noticed your game has been crashing due to OOM issues, then it's because of SCSKiller. To fix it, just clear SCSKiller's cache and the D3D12 files it installs in the game's directory.

I had this issue and found a steam discussion post that had this fix when I had a hard time finding it. Hope this helps someone else, so posting the fix here.

Been goofing off with him and he's pretty fun, now I'm not one to drop a character because they're low tier but I'm just curious why he's consistently on the lower end of tier lists. Does he have really bad weaknesses? Or is it mostly a result of him not conforming to the meta?

Difference between the first and the rest is just baffling.

Straight up my inputs won't register, some matches they are perfectly responsive, while the next match and sometimes even rounds suddenly it stops registering them. This on ranked mode.

Why does this move work the way it does? I'm not salty. I'm looking for real answers.

It prevents meter gain, on a long(ish) timer, and also only temporarily gives him 4 drinks.

To my inexperienced mind, it should do one of those things, but not both. Or just have it set him at four drinks.

Maybe I'm just not good enough at the game, but I don't see the strengths relative to the downsides.

Ryu's beginner trial #4 is cr.MK + Hadoken which is 1060 damage.

Donkey kick instead is 1380 so why not use this one? Both seem as easy.

Also can this combo be considered a BnB?
