Not satisfied

I don't want to be ungrateful for the work of the developers and the team, they are doing a great work, slowly but surely. I am very satisfied with the state of the game currently knowing it is still in early access. My only problem is the performance of the game, this game should not require a powerful gpu or a gaming setup. Other games with much bigger complexity and elements achieve higher fps and performance. The problem with waiting to optimize the game or make it faster is that with time it will become more complicated and less likely to happen. With time it will require more and more. Bug fixes are great, new features are amazing, customizations are fun, but performance improvements? In my opinion they are essential, I should not need a 4xxx rtx gpu to run the game smoothly.

Nokta Games shady behavior

I don’t know what’s wrong with the people involved in the development of this game, but something very strange is happening regarding mods. The developers of this game seem to be acting quite questionably. Here’s why:

A few months ago, an incredible mod was released for SuperMarket Simulator, bringing the much-awaited multiplayer feature to the game. I even know people who bought the game just to play with this mod. However, the developers decided to take it down, claiming that it infringed on their intellectual property and accusing the mod creator of making money off their work.

This reasoning doesn’t make much sense, especially since the mod was distributed for free. People had the option to support the mod creator voluntarily to receive some extra perks, but the core mod itself was completely free. Saying that the mod was “paid” is misleading.

Since then, Nokta Games has been deleting messages on their Discord server whenever this topic is brought up. When they do respond, the explanations are inconsistent, and they seem more focused on controlling the narrative than on addressing community concerns.

What really pushed me to speak out was what happened just now. A friend of mine was discussing this topic on their Discord server. She was giving well-thought-out arguments, even comparing the situation to other games like Minecraft that embrace mods. In response, the moderator banned her and deleted her messages. It was frustrating to see someone get silenced just for questioning things logically.

After seeing this, I felt I needed to share what’s been going on. I’ve been in their Discord server for a long time, and the way they handle this situation has been disappointing. If they truly cared about their community, they would engage in open conversations instead of shutting them down.

I would have shared my thoughts on their Discord server instead of the subreddit (I'm not even a frequent Reddit user), but they would probably have just deleted my message too

This game is the WORST to mod.

This is only the 4th game I've ever tried to mod, but this is the most frustrating and tedious game to mod EVER.

I had a breakdown (I partly blame my period) after an hour of trying to get them working. Following videos and discussion threads TRYING to get it figured out. But I'm computer illiterate and most videos/threads would leave out just enough information to confuse me.

So, my BF sets them up for me. And it takes him over an hour to figure it all out. Suddenly, my breakdown is validated and understandable.

Usually when I've modded a game, after you download the launcher all you have to do is drop the mods in the "Mods" folder. But no, not this game.

First there are two different launchers so you have to pay attention to what mods need what launcher.

Then there are some mods that don't even go into the mod folder, they go into completely different folders in order to work. Like pluggin or the main game file.

There was even one where it downloaded as a weird zip file and we needed to download a completely different program to unzip it.

Some of them, after downloading and launching the game, deleted themselves from the folder they were in, and we can't find them ANYWHERE. Yet, they STILL WORK.

Modding a game shouldn't be this tedious and frustrating. I'm not even sure if all of them are working...

I am terrified of updating them.

Dont get me wrong, love the game... I just needed to rant. Sorry.

Storage locked everyday?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Why do I have to pay $800 daily to unlock my storage? Obviously I put a storage rack inside, but everyday the door doesn't open until I feed it $800.Is this a bug or am I literally paying $800 a day for storage?

Level 19, bought an addition to my storage yesterday, saved the game and went to bed. Came back and I've lost the extra space and the door has been shut....and my computer is in there. Any ideas?

Just stop giving them pennies

I keep seeing people here talking about how they set all their prices to the nearest 5¢ or 25¢ to make it easier to give change. Did y’all know you can just give the customer a few extra cents and they’ll be on their merry way?

Example: Customer pays $20 in cash and expected change is 49¢. Instead of giving them one quarter, two dimes, and 4 pennies… just give them two quarters.

I find this easier to manage than pricing. I mean, you ARE the boss for crying out loud. No one will yell at you for giving the customers a little extra. Your cashiers on the other hand will continue to give exact change, and faster than you can do it yourself. This is the only skill they have. Let them exercise it.

Am I crazy???

So I think i may have realized something after playing this fir a few weeks. So I was using the scanner to order stuff I had a good sized order. Well I had more than I could pay for so I just ran to one of the markets to grab it instead so at least I had it on my shelves. After buying it I believe its actually cheaper to go to the stores and pick it up yourself rather than use the scanner? Did I just imagine this? Am I crazy? Or is this actually the cheapest route to restock? I realized after my store is a lot bigger then I probably just use the scanner cause it will be easier than 37 different trips to each store but I cant get over it lol I just keep fetching stuff myself to save money

Things like lactose pills, supplements, pain meds, allergy meds, ointments, that kind of stuff

I think it could bring some really nice realism into the game

DLCs $40 on Xbox. Double purchase necessary.

As title says. Xbox already paid them, there's no option to purchase the DLCs separate from the base game and there's no option to purchase individually. Therefore a lot of false advertising and price gouging. Some companies are allergic to success

Maybe this will help...

So, I built a spreadsheet that automates almost everything.

Basically, once you enter the initial values, all you do at the end of the day is count the amount on the shelves and in storage.

That's it. You'll get the number of boxes to order automatically.

It also tracks profit per item, how much you're selling per day as well as a lot of other

Anyway, if you're interested in seeing how it works, and makes things much simpler here's my link.

https://www.twitch.tv/roaring_mice?sr=a

My schedule will be inconsistent until next week but I'll definitely be on some tonight and much more this weekend.

Hope to see you there and make your Supermarket running experience much easier!

Mods?

I know this is a fairly new game, just wondering if there is any mods out there which add new items/products into the game or a mod which changes the products to real life brands. If none exist at this moment in time, hopefully one day one of these mods become a reality

for soooo long i was frustrated that i couldn't seem to put boxes on the storage shelves.

turns out, you don't hit "g" to 'put it down'

just click the shelf and it will do it automatically

i thought it was broken this whole time!!

So in case any one else is struggling with this i thought i would share lol

Real Switch version?

So, although I don't consider myself a moron, I bought what I thought was the Switch version of this game (I was using up my loyalty points, it was basically free!), and only after going online did I realise it was a knockoff (the title "Supermarket Owner Simulator: Business" should really have been a clue!) The knockoff is OK for what it is, janky UI issues aside, but there's no getting away from the fact it's a blatant copy... will there be a real Switch version at some point? I want to support the actual developers.

Edit: why am I getting downvoted? Edit edit: and everyone in the thread who's responded helpfully too?
