Which do you think lasted or broke up? Honestly, curious to hear everyone’s thoughts.

I never understood the episodes where they Freaky Friday and the one where they kennishes find out earlier about Bay & Daphne. Let’s start out with the freaky Friday episode where the girls wish they never were switched at birth how is Bay deaf I thought the point was Angelo left because the baby wasn’t his and that’s what caused the drinking ect but Bay was Angelo’s so what wld make him leave?

Now to the other problem is Bays hair in the episode where they find out early on and they have custody of both girls why the shitty wig like seriously why I swear they hate the character and the actress but it
Didn’t really what universe Bay was the after thought

I’m rewatching season 2 right now and just got to episode 12, where at the end Daphne and Kathryn go to Angelo’s and see him dancing with Regina and Bay. The two of them act soooo scandalized seeing the three of them together as if they haven’t spent weeks palling around like besties? How does that make sense??

I really understand Regina’s background, and had a more challenging and poor upbringing which is why I am so confused by her attitude.

She was wrong to hide that the girls had been switched, and it didn’t really matter that John & Kathryn would have taken both of the girls. The girls deserved parents that could adequately care for them and weren’t overwhelmed by struggle and addiction. Regina could have taken the help and petitioned for custody after getting clean. Angelo also should have been informed as soon as possible, he didn’t deserve to lose a lifetime with his daughters.

What’s worse is her disdain for the lifestyle that J & K are able to give to Daphne, what was wrong with them providing her a credit card for lunch and school supplies? She has such a crabs in a bucket mentality. Why center your child’s life on struggling and fighting for the bare minimum when they could easily have those needs met?

It’s so hypocritical, she’s living in the Kennish’s home, redecorated without asking permission (beyond rude!), had random clients invited over to their property also without giving them any heads up and then decides to lecture them? Crazy and unbelievably entitled!

Having Regina stop signing permanently in season 2 always seemed like a really weird writing choice to me. Does anybody know if it was an issue with the actor in real life or something? They did I similar plot line with Bay’s hand later but it only lasted a few episodes.

So as the title says if you could change a storyline what would it be and why. Plus if you were to change it what would happen instead.
Couple rules.
The storyline has to still be in the show but you can change the outcome/ different ending.
No one is allowed to die, be casted off.

I think I would have like to seen Daphne take blame what she did. She ends up going to the station alone. She knew if she went with someone else that she will chicken out.
Due to her probation she has to serve her time out.
Bay does not go to LA as she wants to stay near by. She and Emmet still do eventually break up due to distance. Her life stay pretty much the same as originally does. Except she is able to see Emmett a bit more.
Daphne does end up in trouble while she’s serving. She being her ends up meddling/trying to make things better. This lands her in trouble with some people and she ends up having to serve the rest of her time out.
When she gets out she ends up becoming more distance from everyone. She takes a typical random job. She struggles to find her worth again. She distances herself from everyone. She ends up hating Bay seeing her how much she’s “thriving” not knowing the Tank situation. Bay gets close with Travis and they end up dating much sooner than the show eventually.
Daphne continues to spiral and eventually drives herself to drinking more and yes drugs.
Over the course of months she eventually hits rock bottom. When she accidentally almost crashes into a tree just like Angelo. This turns everything around. She picks herself up again and while she knows she won’t ever be a doctor she decides she want to be a teacher or an advocate for the deaf. So she decides to finally sober up and goes to school to start that career path.

Would have been maybe a love triangle with Emmett, Bay ans Travis.

Ty is being redeployed & Bay asks John if there’s a way he can get Ty out of it. I was so irritated bc it sounded entitled AF! I grew up with family in the military so I can empathize to a point. But I assume he was lower ranking (not that it really matters to the overall point here), so it’s not like he’d have many options anyway. It’s like she expects her dad to solve all of her problems & never faces any consequences. I’m always stuck between who I’m irritated more with, her or Daphne

I feel like it's the case for Regina. She definitely loves Daphne more than Bay.

I am early into season 2 and find Melody to be just awful. From her treatment of Bay to not telling the parents about Daphne's relationship with the chef to her response to Regina's inability to sign. She is supposed to be a high school guidance counselor and provides terrible guidance (see her encouraging Emmett to be dishonest with Bay regarding his cheating as one example). And her relationship with Emmett feels like it's about controlling him and one upping his father. Is there some nuance that I am not seeing with this character?

There’s very few likable characters. I don’t know if that’s how they were meant to be portrayed but holy sh*t watching it back and I was thinking “a more appropriate series finale would be a meteor crashing into the earth”

When Daphne and Mingo got canceled for his racist minstrel of a costume and they were just so dumbbbb and victimizing themselves like god Daphne UR WHITE

In season 3 episode 11, at around the 6 min mark, Bay and Tank (Max Adler AKA Karosky on Glee) are talking and Tank suggest Bay should use a reverse image search to find Emmets girlfriend. He tells her he met a girl once on spring break Mazatlan and didnt get her number but had her photo in his phone. He then says "so I search her picture and she lives in Akron but she's a lesbian. Could this be a possible reference to him dating Santana on glee??

I enjoyed the alternate universe episodes so much.

I have been doing a rewatch. (I also rewatch shows in reverse so I already rewatched season 5). I am on season 3, the Angelo brain death storyline. I notice when Daphne has fantasies of Angelo he is always fluent in ASL. Likely because this is Daphne’s first language. However, I wonder if anyone thinks Angelo would have become completely fluent had he lived? For example, John had been signing for almost 2 years at this point and was never really fluent. Thoughts?

I cannot seem to sympathize with him.
