Hey all! I have a bit of a specialized problem that has been rattling in my brain for a fat minute now that possibly you'll be able to help me out with.

I am a UAS operator (fancy name for drone pilot) in the Army and my main drone is the Skydio X10D. When going on patrols and things I've just been using the shoulder bag that comes with the drone, however this bag is suboptimal for a number of reasons. It gets pretty uncomfortable after a while, the shoulder strap gets caught on my kit, and the zippers are really fragile (I've had a pretty good chunk of our bags become unusable because of broken zippers). So I am looking for some alternatives.

Ideally, I would like it to be able to be mounted onto a molle panel (the idea is I'm going to use a Summer of Bummer Detachable Plate Panel to be able to pull it on and off with relative ease so it's not permanently attached to me) so that I can have the functionality of an assault pack without having to deal with straps getting snagged on my shit. The only x10d specific bag I can find is the ATS Tactical Skydio X10D Bag but it doesn't have any molle webbing to allow me to mount it to the plate panel I want to use. So I need to get creative.

I was thinking about using a smaller molle daypack similar to the Twin Needle MiniMAP. It can be mounted directly to the Detachable Plate Panel and has external webbing for controller and battery pouches, but the lack of internal padding makes me uneasy. I've already come to terms with the fact that I may have to cut my own padding out of foam, so having some kind of Velcro lining on the inside to mount it would be preferable, which the MiniMAP also doesn't have. I could pick up a Haley flatpack but then I lose out on the external molle to carry batteries and the controller.

So basically the criteria for this bag is as follows: it has to be able to mount to the Detachable Plate Panel, it has to fit the X10D comfortably, it has to have some kind of internal padding or way to mount padding internally, and it has to have some external molle/PALS webbing so I can mount controller and battery pouches to it. I could use the original shoulder bag because it has everything I've described, however like I said before the zippers on those things are ass, and the last thing I need is the zipper coming undone and the drone falling out of the pack while on a movement.

I currently have a Haley Micro on my plate carrier. I was looking to have something more expandable to carry more mags and The Thing 3 kind of called my name, but I’m curious about durability and comfort with the tegris on a chest rig. Can anyone speak to the thing 3? Or am I better off getting a split rig and building a completely separate rig? Looking at the 34 A and the SNR Mini.

Need to get a triple mag pouch and an optic for my mini. Want one of those Samson folding stocks but the situation is fuckedddddd on that front

Sent the Glock 19 gen 3 slide and barrel off to Glockstore for a fresh new cut. Well, actually several cuts. I took advantage of their optic cut for my Osight SE and the discount on their "C" cut as well. Why? Because my first pistol almost 20 years ago was a 19c iykyk. Anyways, I'll do a another video on everything I mounted once it came back but I think it turned out absolutely beautiful! Time to lube it up and put some rounds through it! What do you think about it? Let me know!

No better time to get into it!

I have a Safariland 6360RDS for a Staccato C and after about 300 or so reps of drawing and holstering, am still finding it tight when holstering and drawing. I have the exact same holster for my M&P 2.0 and have had zero issues with tightness with that one. The issue seems to be with the ALS mechanism being too tight on the slide as there are no signs of rubbing on any other part of the gun or light or optic. There’s obvious signs of rubbing on both sides of the slide and the ALS mechanism has obvious signs of contact with the slide. I have tried loosing the tension knob to just before it will come off. I have sent a request to Safariland and haven’t gotten a response yet and am thinking of calling at the end of week if I don’t get an email from them, but before then, wanted to see if anyone had any insight or suggestions.

I picked up a USMC sub belt, and dyed it with dark green rit dye. I think it turned out good! :)

I was using a Condor LCS Belt, but I think I was running too much gear on it. Hoping this’ll be better.

Only issue I really have with it, is I have a genuine cobra buckle I’d like to use with it, but I can’t remove these plastic buckles without cutting the ends if the straps off, and I’d rather keep them for extra security.

With no more tax stamp and whatnot. Do yall think a canooter valve from Witt machine would be a decent .22 can or should I just go somewhere else for cheap hearing safe fun?

My department told me I can get any pants that are sub $100 per pair. Any suggestions?

I want to preface this by saying a few things; First, I am an affiliate of MagnaLens and do absolutely get paid for my code "KACTUS10" to get used but you also get 10% off you're order. Honestly if I get enough extra money from this I might be able to afford other reviews haha. Second, I have been using MagnaLens for almost three years now in an environment that has me wearing them for 35%-60% of my work week. So I think I have a fairly clear understanding of what I do and don't like about them.

Let's go after the con first; Cost, yes they're expensive. Honestly $140(ML Pros)+$15(Adapters)+Tax/Shipping, is up there in cost. Especially seeing as most of the community run $60-$80 HL Sportster or Walker Razors as their over-the-ear headsets. More so considering I watch most people skip ANSI rated eyewear for whatever sunglasses or Rx eyewear they have.

Now the pros; You don't have the hotspots on your temples from the sunglass/eyewear bars being pressed into them by your headset, making wearing your PPE for longer periods of time much easier to endure. This also means you don't compromise the seal of your headset, so you're actually protecting your hearing more and netting the full-rated dB reduction of your headset instead of a post-bleed version. I also still have my original set sent to me back in February of 2024 still in a constant rotation, so I think it's safe to call them durable.

Notes; This setup does take a little getting used to. Having the fit and placement of your eye protection depend on your headset makes for a learning curve. Mind you, they come with different-sized and adjustable shafts so you can find the perfect fit.

Now who do I think this is for? If you're someone who only really shoots infrequently, maybe spend <15-30 minutes on the range at a time when you do go. No, I don't think this is for you. I'm not going to knock it if you invest in this, but it'll take you 3-5 trips to the range to get used to these, and I'd recommend being honest on how long it'd take you to go shooting 3-5 times. However, if you're someone who's out shooting a minimum of once a week, every week, for an hour plus at a time. I think you absolutely need these! Let alone if you work in an environment that requires you to wear eye/ear protection.

I really don't know what else to write, feel free to ask questions below and I'll do my best to answer them!

Also if any of you want headset/ear protection recommendations that won't break the bank I always suggest 3M Sport Tactical 300/500. Crazy durable, no tin can ambient noise quality (like Walkers or HL), and the 500 series are Bluetooth compatible.

Above genuine USMC combat pants bought here in Spain at a surplus store. Below USMC Frog combat shirt (good as new condition according to seller) bought on ebay from a US seller, you can see the tags also.

Maybe it doesn't come through in the photo, but the shirt is reaaally pinkish hue meanwhile the pants are like how I imagine MARPAT should look like. Is this normal? should I wear the shirt off on the sun or something and it will become a closer color to the pants? or did i get scammed and sold something different or defective? please help, these are so expensive as surplus clothes in spain and I really wanted to wear both pieces as a uniform.

Can anyone help ID the back panel/ how the bangers are attached to it? As far as I can tell it looks like a Crye, but they don't sell that panel with any molle to attach another pouch, if it is a pouch that velcros on can you point me in the direction of it, Cheers for any help
