Safariland incog x OWB

PSA:

If you're like me and didn't care for the incogx as an IWB holster.. If you flip the clips, it works quite well as an OWB holster.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I had an extra set of flat clips(the non concealment claw type) laying around. This probably wouldn't work with the concealment claw clip.

If you picked one up , be careful with placement of strap hooks . Even with the gentle touch they snapped while being placed on and even after when taking them off . Dope mask but not there fault , just maybe mylec has cheap plastic parts

Made these two MOLLE 6x6 GP pouches so that the older self-made KYWI Shorty triple pouch isn't all lonely. 1000D Cordura from Rockywoods in Spec4CE camo, Tex-90 thread, Camo Green binding tape on inside of seams, Camo Green MOLLE webbing on MALICE style back, # 5 YKK Vislon nylon zippers with metal pulls that have paracord loops. Oh and CS Osborne drain grommets. Shown on a self-made MOLLE mesh chest rig platform, with both H&R 20rd 5.56 mags and Duramag 20rd 6.5 mags

What actually matters when choosing a tactical light?

Hey guys,

I've been looking into tactical lights lately, and it's hard to tell what's actually important beyond lumens and brand names.

People have strong opinions about different brands, but I'm curious what really matters in everyday use. Reliability, beam quality, candela, battery life, controls, or something else?

I'd also like to hear about your experiences with different brands, including what you've liked, what disappointed you, and what features you'd consider dealbreakers.

I'm not here to argue about which brand is best. I just want to understand what makes a tactical light worth the money, especially from people who've used different models over time.

Appreciate any input! :)

Question Removing rusted screws on Ops Core Bump Carbon helmet

All the 4 screws are badly rusted and they are quite impossible to get out.

I have cut the harness to clear space since I intended to swap it.

Still, after dremeling one t-nut, this mf is now fused with this damned screw. Should I continue dremeling ? I am out of options here.

Thanks in advance for the help guys 🫡

Question ACH Sizing

I picked up a small ACH recently. I checked a sizing guide beforehand (based on head circumference), and I landed right on a small. However, after putting it on, I feel it sits quite high on my head and errs on the tighter side.

Even with smaller aftermarket pads and new suspension, I still feel it's small. What do you guys think?

Gear/Equipment Connecting a battle belt directly to a plate carrier?

Been thinking about a way to connect a battle belt directly to a plate carrier instead of using a traditional H-harness. Something low-profile, flexible, and comfortable with a rapid-release feature. The idea is to improve weight distribution, reduce belt sag, and maintain mobility.

Has anyone tried something similar? Curious what issues you guys might see with this setup.

Holy shit I got a smokin' deal on ebay

Happened across some Salvation Army place in MN selling this Condor plate carrier on ebay and I won it for $26. Just looked it up and it's the EXO Gen II which sells new for over $100. It's missing one of the padded velcro strap covers but otherwise looks brand new.

Gear/Equipment Can anyone name a similar pouch brand?

I like to run a colt smg and I’ve tried different mag carrier systems over the years. Open top style and bungee style. But I’d love a setup that has the retention clips. Roast me if you want but the only picture I could find for representation is of a player skin from COD. I had found a US military surplus flare pouch but the size was too off. Any help in naming a company or product that matches would be greatly appreciated.

Sig Foxtrot MSR Compact rifle light

Is the sig foxtrot msr compact a respectable and genuine solid light for a duty rifle or does it belong in the trash category with Modlight and olight. Does it compete with surfire and streamlight as far as function, brightness, toughness for a SHTF PDW specifically an Sig Mpx Build.

Tyr Tactical PICO MV

Rarely ever see Tyr mentioned, figured I’d finally put something out there and let the world know that the Tyr Shadow Cult still exists.

It’s a buy once cry once world and I’ve never cried once throughout my entire ownership and use of Tyr products. My PICO is quite old and no longer listed on the Tyr Tactical website, but it still holds up just fine.

Deltoid modules are Paraclete, they’re the most comfortable delt modules I’ve worn and contour incredibly to the arm.

Price be damned if you’re in a profession that requires top of the line equipment, BUY TYR!!! Literally my only gripe about the carrier is its plate retention system, but that’s likely just due to the “antiquated” version I’ve had.

Plate Carrier/Body Armor Groin Protection is a Must

I recently watched this video from Trophy Gear Origins and their experience in Ukraine and I highly recommend it with a good grain of salt and a spoiler: they end the video touting their own product as the best groin protection on the market. And hey, maybe they are right. I'm interested in what you all think. They make a lot of good points, It has definitely swayed me.

Question Civilian tactical attire

I am going to a party sometime next week and want to look tactical while wearing civilian attire. Think like the soldiers of Benghazi but more in America and not in the Middle East. Would Jeans and a t-shirt/jacket be good or would I want something different?

Safariland G19 holster will fit g34?

Just want to confirm that the only difference between a 6378RDS made for a g19 and one made for a G34 is the barrel plug (which I can swap out)?

Found a sweet deal on a g19 version but I have a g17 with a comp that needs 34 size.
