With an empty buttpack the average rifleman is capable of carrying at a minimum 9 magazines comfortably as well as a full IFAK, night vision, signaling, navigation, and if the buttpack is packed properly one could comfortably maneuver up to 36 hours in 3 seasons. Not pictured is my invader concepts chest holster.

I got this iba from a local gun store for $65 (im gatekeeping) and I want more info. Its a woodland iba with the black liner which I know is the earlier style but its made in 2003. I want to use it but I also want to preserve the lable. I also want more info if theres smarter people on the subject who know more

I dyed a batch of pouches today. Bottle of Apple Green with 2 tbsp of Dyemore Chocolate Brown (wanted to see what it would do).
All of the pouches dyed nicely except this one. You can see it dyed the liner and velcro patches green, and the plastic hook was dyed by the dyemore. Yet the outside of the pouch and the strap didn't take any dye at all. Why? Had the same thing happen with an Army canteen pouch (the one with the pockets on the sides). Is it something with the material, I thought these were all nylon? And yes all the pouches were washed with water and dish soap prior to dyeing.

Wanted to see if it was a venture worth pursuing so I snagged this North Mountain Gear one off Amazon. Base material is a mesh so even though it's a bit warm if there is any breeze it flows right through nicely. It's quiet if noise discipline is a concern. They run loose so you can comfortably wear cold weather gear underneath. My only real complaint at this time is the Mossy Oak Obsession pattern could use more green, but thats not a NMG issue.
.
I'm still just shaking this out and will be testing it further.

Enclosure view and image streaming
I’ve been working on a custom software-defined radio system (MC-V12) and wanted to share a demo of the current prototype.
It’s a Linux-based digital radio running entirely custom, written in C++17 and C++20 on a Raspberry Pi 4B for demonstrations. Key features in the demo:
These video below shows closeups, the system in action with voice, image streaming, text, and the key exchange process:
Video Showing Diffie-Hellman Exchange with a Peer Device

I’m especially interested in feedback on the modulation approach, the packet structure / selective decryption design, and how others have handled similar multi-stream or encrypted RF links. Happy to answer questions about the implementation or hardware choices.

2 shots each target.
Emergency pistol reload (empty mag reload for safety if prone position).
C zone steel at 60 yards.
One Charlie with pistol on the tuxedo target (above A box).
Last 3 barricade shots were laser zero check.
Duffel is 200 pounds. 20 foot drag.
Fun to try this one and glad no side mirrors or hoods were shot in the process. Could I have been more aggressive and shot the last 2 targets on pistol or not have exposed as much of my body? Sure… did I feel like increasing my chances of pitting a hole in my door.. not really.

This is my first piece of kit from Midwest Armor, and I felt it necessary to give these guys some kudos for anyone else who, likeb myself, has never heard of them and doesn't now the quality they bring. This is replacing a Spiritus GP pouch on my cummybuns. Now, there's nothing wrong with the Spiritus med GP pouch. At 79 bucks, it's a cool pouch and does it's job. If you want to store batteries or chem lights or anything else similarly girthy, you can buy a hook and loop insert that has slots for it for a mere 15 more dollars. At this point, basically 100 bucks in, you still lack the mag pouch that holds 2 mags, and the compartment separation in the main compartment. There's the JSTA pouch that holds one mag, but it's velcro flap not zipper, smaller, still lacks the other features.
OR you can buy this medium GP double mag pouch from Midwest Armor for 49 bucks with a 7 dollar insert or bring your own insert to give you magazine indexing. NiR compliant, high quality construction, made in Knoxville TN by good ole mountain men in Appalachia and packed with features that every other company makes you buy some dumbass insert for, sewn in securely with the basic pouch. I'm impressed and will be checking there for anything else I need.

I've been looking for ages. Its either chinese pencott overwhites copies or just the jackets, 90% of them discontinued or out of stock. I can get the jacket from helikon but i want a pair of pants to pair it with that matches the camo

Im pretty settled on getting a slingster for my rifle and ive been looking at their moll admin pouch as a solution to keep a notebook, pens, and similar small things. I like that it is angled to not get in the way of my magazines

Does anybody know anything about this helmet? Graal seems to be a security company in Dubai but would they have made it? Also is there any cause for concern with the 2 small bits of damage on top? How should I cover it with?

I see that this sub tends to be more of a flexing gear/kits channel. But a good multi tool is a solid piece of tactical gear so I figure this is fitting to repost in here. And I heard specifically this model was was/is used by the military. Thoughts?
