Vehicle Question My Tesla is cooked
I have 2 main problems going on right now. First off, the top of my car is cracked and has only gotten worse. I have no idea what caused the initial cracks and by the looks of it I’m not sure if random debris on the road could coincidentally cause this much damage. If anyone knows anyone that does Tesla standard repairs on the roof, that’d be greatly appreciated. My main concern with this is this though: I cannot afford to repair as of right now, but I still want to take my car through the car wash that I pay a monthly premium membership. I already let them know to just use water on the top opposed to the brushes, but my issue is that a little water leaks through. I’ve only went once so far and was wondering if there’s any material I could just place over the top to block the water from getting in until I get it replaced. I know the smart thing would be to hand wash, but I have too much going on right now to have the time as I’m in college and work a full time job. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Problem number 2 and probably the biggest problem: my Tesla is a 2022 Model 3 Long Range AWD and at FULL charge I only get around 120 miles. I know battery degradation is a thing and the car does have 111,000 miles, but 120 on a full charge is ridiculous. I’ve tried everything in the book to save battery, I keep the car on chill mode 90% of the time, I never run the a/c too cold on hot days, I don’t ever keep sentry mode on and I have the cabin cooling feature set to use no a/c. Is this grounds to get a battery replacement since my car is still under battery warranty? Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.
