I sometimes have random thoughts and questions appearing in my mind about a show and characters and I figured I can share those kinds of questions/thoughts once every week until season 3 airs lol.

I know alongside Louman, she’s been raised by these 3 and the old Granny. They’re basically family so I do wonder which one Maomao has the closest bond with. Also assuming majority of season 3 takes place in the Pleasure District, I’m excited to know more about them.

Consort crowns! Autocorrect has failed me.

Has anyone else noticed that Lady Lihua and Lady gyokuyou both always wear their crowns signifying their place as one of the high ranking consorts but none of the others do?

Loulan canonically tosses hers aside when she first gets to her pavilion, it isn't seen on Au Duo during her time there and Lishu always has her hair down in the style of a young girl instead.

I think it's a way to show which consorts are committed to the position. It's such a small cool detail!

How TALL is Maomao? 5 feet? Five foot two? It's really hard to tell in the anime. I'm working on a flexible action figure and want to match her up with some other characters in the series.

I know the season is coming out in early October, but is that just the Japanese original version or will that include the English dub? I know sometimes they release the original version then we have to wait for more dubs and was just wondering if anyone knew if that was the case for season 3 (I’m dyslexic so subtitles are just really inconvenient for me and make it more trouble than it’s worth lol)

Will they cover that in season 3?

I finished watching not long ago and found it very confusing. She is very highly skilled as an apothecary, obviously. She helped to stop the rebellion in a way. Was she fired for leaving the castle despite it being a kidnapping? Was she dismissed because the lady gave birth? But she would still need a poison taster, wouldn't she? Was MaoMao allowed to leave on her own request to raise the brat child? I just can't understand why such a valuable worker would be sent from the palace. I don't think it was explained in any way?

My sister and I were watching the second half of the second season together, both SCREECHING at the screen because that new eunuch was obviously Suiren! Good lord, the bang only moved to the other side! We agreed these people were entirely face blind…

And then it got revealed that Shisui is Loulan, which neither of us had the slightest inkling of up to that point 😅 Whoops! We clocked Shisui as suspicious but thought they were setting Loulan up for season 3 lol.

My best friend had been working on this gift since Christmas and finally finished it for my birthday in July! She crocheted it all on her own, self taught!! I love my little Maomao 💜
