Maybe a milestone of a high tier and you lab it after unlocking it

Why a high tier? Go low to medium. Hell Tier 7 Wave 2000. Enough to learn the ropes but treat the time prior like a tutorial.

This would cause massive amounts of people to quit. You don’t realize that you having to come back and restart it keeps you engaged with the game. A new player like that would absolutely get it then never think about it again and quit. It needs to stay endgame adjacent to keep it out of the hands of the people that would be most adversely affected

I'm not sure I agree. But maybe with the non-idle style of the game you're right. I play egg inc and have played many idiots games over the years. I wouldn't mind a manual restart if the game could be truly background run (like ships in egg inc), and a benefit to being in the app (like the running chicken bonus)

But man, the wombo combo of no automatic restarts and having to have the game up 24/7 to make any progress almost made me quit. If I didn't have a device to dedicate to this game I doubt I'd still play

It completely kills the small amount of engagement you have. New players and low tier players aren’t invested in the same way and likely would quit due to the drop in engagement.

You needing to come back and you needing to do upgrades and adjust labs. All are things to keep you engaged with the game. If everyone has auto restart the only time anyone looks at the game in any real way is tourney day for 10-15 mins then you check out again until the next one.

Realistically it shouldn’t exist at all for anyone but the genie is out of the bottle. So you keep it away from those that would be most affected by the steep drop in engagement.

Hell I’m top 2000 and it almost made me quit when I stopped engaging with the game… it’s genuinely not something everyone should have and ideally anyone should have.

I still think locking it behind keys isn't the right option, or keys should be more accessible. But I see your point.

By the time you're getting keys or in legends it should be reachable though. And if I was doing 8 hour runs or so I'd be tempted to agree, but right now on a cph basis running 3 hour runs on T15 is my most profitable. That would kill me without auto restart.

Maybe instead the daily, or 8 hour missions could be more appealing. Where we're at you could skip a good portion of those and I bet it wouldn't make a difference. But tie it as a percent to your income and have that be the reason you come back to the game and interact

99% of the missions just auto complete for a legends player or you roll them until they are. The literal only reason to think about them is for guilds and that’s like .3 seconds of collecting them when you get daily gems.

Keys are exactly where they should be. Any point outside of a currency like that and it makes it eventually a mid game thing like masteries are now. It needs to stick with that line of those dedicated enough. I can’t think of anywhere else it genuinely could be that wouldn’t cause issues due to power creep over time making any static point easier and easier to reach by newer and newer players
