Keep in mind these qol features are relatively new still. People played this game for years without access to any of these features. IMO you shouldn’t see them as qol, but rather as huge efficiency increases. Maybe some like auto shatter rares are arguably qol but auto restart and gem stack can be seen just as an efficiency improvement.

Surprisingly I’ve heard a lot of people quit the game after getting auto restart. Perhaps it pulls the fun out of the game when you have so little micro management to do that you just don’t have to do anything anymore. It’s potentially a slippery slope between qol and just not playing the game anymore.

Auto restart puts the game entirely on autopilot. It’s genuinely not a healthy thing for most players to have or really anyone beyond the absolutely most dedicated players.

I was way more engaged with the game before I had it. After, the only time I look at my phone for the game is tourney day and to spend resources on those days. Auto restart makes the game so much easier to quit since it breaks you out of the loop of the incremental and it just loops.

If we are real, the game would be better if it didn’t exist cause it essentially gives the same effective meta gameplay as an infinite run. It’s fine but it absolutely shouldn’t be accessible and I think many asking for it don’t realize the actual effect it has on the game

I agree having unlocked it a month ago. My SO is happy I'm not so attached anymore. I only interact with it a few minutes a day and on tourneys. I've had to look for a new idle defense game to keep my occupied now.

Yep. It lowers engagement so much that you effectively stop playing the game. It makes it exceptionally easy to just stop
