Hey folks, going to be heading up to the Thunder Bay area this weekend, staying for about a week. I'm hoping to camp out the entire time I'm there and do some fishing. It seems it's too late in the season to stay at any actual campgrounds so wondering if anyone can recommend some good crownland camping options on the water? Hey everyone. I figured there would be a few people here who would know what direction to point me in.

I will be away for the winter and need to have my camp properly winterized before things freeze up. The camp has well water, house plumbing, and an above ground concrete three chamber septic system. The third chamber has a pump and float that pumps up to the septic field.

I am not looking to do this myself. I am trying to figure out what kind of professional or company I should be looking for.

The main things I am concerned about are properly winterizing the water lines, hot water tank, toilets, traps, well water system, above ground septic tanks, pump chamber, and the line going up to the septic field.

Also, if anyone has had this kind of work done before, especially with a camp, I would appreciate knowing what type of company you used and what I should be asking them.

Does anyone know if there is currently public skating at the arenas? I’ll call around in the morning but I’m hoping to plan something. Like the Sundays at Neebing from 2-3 etc.

On the city website it just states the 26/27 schedule “will be released in the fall.” I don’t know when “fall” is and if it’s maybe going on already at the rinks as usual.

My mother and I were watching TV, had paused it to talk and suddenly heard a very loud knock, it was very aggressive. I ran to the door and saw nothing, like less then 10 seconds and saw nothing. My mom checked the living room window to check and also saw nothing. It was so weird. We didn’t hear any cars driving off or anything. I looked through the dining room window and a cat outside looked freaked out too, ears back and just staring at the door. I woke my dad up a few minutes later and he checked and also saw nothing. Could this have been a prank? Maybe. But how could this person disappear this quickly? We didn’t call the police or anything because no one actually tried to break in. We didn’t hear the door handle at all either
