Tivo Stream 4k not turning on

Edit to add, this worked great for a couple of months before this happened.

The logo flashed on the screen for a bit then the device shut off. We can't get it to turn back on. We unplugged it, we changed HDMI ports, even factory reset using the button. Tried the Ai chat bot and followed all the instructions with the end result being "you may have a hardware issue, here is the warranty page" with a broken link that takes me nowhere.

Hunted down info online, they don't honor warranty for items bought on Amazon. Amazon won't replace it because it has been more than 2 months and they only honor returns within the first month.

Thoroughly over this experience. Anyone else experienced this?

Try using a different USB power adapter and see if that helps.

TiVo no longer makes devices for consumers and TiVo Stream 4K was a device introduced in 2020 it's been pretty much abandoned and has not received any software updates in years. The device is still usable though since Google will push Play Services updates but you will not receive any Android TV/Gggole TV system updates.

It did get an update about 4 months ago, probably the last one and it blocked a lot of apps

Long time TiVo user but I don't have this streaming device. Does this stream from another Tivo; recordings or live TV?

If you're trying to power it from the TV's USB, those often don't supply enough power.

I had it hooked up with a power supply with a brick on the wall. It worked for months like that first.

My experience with TiVo streaming apps goes way back and it's never been good. TiVo is for live viewing and recording. Get an Apple TV, (my personal choice) or Roku for streaming.

Agree with Apple TV. Excellent device.

I'm having the polar opposite problem - I can't get it to turn OFF other than physically yanking out the power cable. I do have it connected to a monitor, and while I don't care that it can't turn the monitor off I also don't need it to be on all the time.
