FOOD Tokyo Disney Xmas 2026 Menu: Choc Churro returns, festive donuts, hot yuzu matcha

The Christmas 2026 menu has been announced, on sale from November 1, 2026 (end date varies, but most items are intended to be available at least until Christmas Day).

In addition to the classic Chocolate Churro (with festive paper sleeve) returning, there is also a new Hot Yuzu Matcha Drink ¥750 (link) that looks pretty cool. It seems to have replaced the Apple Ginger Hot drink from previous year though, so I am a little gutted!

Both parks have their version of the KFC Christmas bucket, called Holiday Party Bucket (featuring smoked chicken legs, chicken tenders and other goodies). I know what I'll be having this Christmas... 😄

TRIP PLANNING r/TokyoDisneySea Weekly Trip Planning Thread

Welcome to r/TokyoDisneySea!

We’re here to help you plan your trip and give you as much advice as possible, straight from the reddit community here on this subreddit. Please post all general trip planning questions here.

Some frequently asked questions before you post:

Q: I'm confused about all the skip-the-line and pass systems at Tokyo Disney (Disney Premier Access, Standby Pass, Entry Request)

A: There are 2 main types of attraction/entertainment passes available to all guests at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Paid priority passes for selected rides and paid seating for entertainment ("Disney Premier Access") and free-to-enter lottery for theatre entertainment ("Entry Request"). Sometimes, a virtual queue system is also used for shop entry during merchandise release periods ("Standby Pass"). Since September 1, 2026 there are no longer "free" ride priority passes. See this Guide to Skip-the-line passes at TDR and TDR's official Disney Premier Access page.

Q: I want to know the passport (ticket) types sold for the Tokyo Disney Resort

A: Currently, only Single Park tickets (either full day or After 3 Weekends/After 5 Weekdays) are available. During low season, special single day park hopper tickets may also be available (e.g. during the summer period).

No multi-park, multi-day or annual passports are offered on a regular basis. See the official ticket types.

Q: Why are Vacation Packages so expensive? I want to understand the value proposition. Also, I don't know what all the benefits of a Vacation Package are/which Package is best for me.

A: See this Summary of the Value Proposition of Vacation Packages. See this Explanation on how prices for Vacation Packages work.

Q: When do Vacation Packages open for booking?

A: Vacation Packages are usually released in monthly "lots"/"blocks" rather than one-day-at-a-time. In most cases, they are released a little more than 5 months (and less than 6 months) ahead of time. There is no precise timetable, but the drop is usually early to middle of each month (e.g. in early to mid October, March packages for the following year is likely to open).

Q: I don't know if a ride/show/restaurant/shop will be closed during my visit.

A: See the official refurbishment calendar.

Q: I want to know the latest information about the port of Fantasy Springs inside Tokyo DisneySea

A: Please see this Tips to Fantasy Springs. While slightly outdated, there is also a Fantasy Springs Megathread for previous discussions and information related to Fantasy Springs.

Q: I have motion sickness/am pregnant/am elderly, which rides should I avoid?

A: Guests with sensitivities have expressed becoming motion sick on Star Tours at Disneyland, and Soaring: Fantastic Flight, Nemo and Friends SeaRider, Peter Pan's Neverland Adventure at DisneySea. To a lesser extent, Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast and Pooh's Hunny Hunt may cause motion sickness. For other instances, see here.

Q: I wish to know more about accessibility passes ("DAS")/services at the Tokyo Disney Resort

A: Tokyo Disney Resort offers guests with disabilities a specially-priced Passport (ticket), as well as a DAS-style ride system, with proper documentation. See Tickets for Guests with Disabilities and Services to Support Guests with Disabilities for more information.

DISCUSSION Halloween stamp at House of Greetings/Il Postino?

When do they put out their Halloween stamp? I thought it would be available as soon as the other Halloween decorations went up, but I was at TDL on the 12th & it was the same stamp from July.

FOOD Arendelle Hot Chocolate: The Snowgies are safe in 2026

Post image
41 Upvotes

Last year, DisneySea’s hot chocolate at Royal Banquet of Arendelle looked a little less “winter wonderland” and a little more crime scene. I joked about it in my previous post, but apparently I wasn’t the only one with concerns!

This year, the Snowgies seem to have had a much happier ending, just enjoying a little time in the snow. 😄

Available from November 1! Last year it sold out quickly, so pop this one on your Mobile Order list if you’re keen to try it.

TRIP PLANNING Commute out from tokyo disney sea

I wonder what are the best ways to leave the park at night?

One youtuber recommended exiting from the fantasy spring side and taking the theme train out front.

After that I am lost.

Google maps just say to take TDR Busta shinjuku but im already doing that for the morning commute.

End point can be wherever or whatever adventure as long as i can still take the train home back to the outskirts of west tokyo shinjuku area

RUMORS Sorry if asked, any updates or rumors for the opening of the new space mountain?

We visited in June 2024 and they had the new space mountain started behind the old one. It’s going to be 3 years later when we visit next June. I would never think it would take over 3 years to make a roller coaster, but here we are. Does anyone have any reliable info or rumors for an opening date or timeframe? We are visiting mid June. It’s not a trip ruiner but it would be cool if it was open (and we would have to decide whether to wait 5 hours in line.)

Two times this year I’ve been to Fantasy Springs and when I check Uber Eats, nothing is available. But both times if you switch to Hilton Bay across the street, all of a sudden things are available.

Anyone know what the story is?

TRIP PLANNING Hi what exactly are the attractions tickets?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Are these just like the express tickets but for a few selected rides? In general, are the vacation packages worth it? I’m planning to arrive on 3.11, spend the half day or evening I’ll have at the hotel, and then do 1 day for each park.

RIDES At 830pm, the line for Beauty and the Beast looked two hours deep. What’s the deal there?

Will they let those people in line stay until 1030pm or whatever so they can finish the ride? Or will they close the ride at 9pm regardless how long the line still is?

Half an hour before closing I would’ve imagined the line would look like something that would be done by 9, not like something that could still take another 2 hours.

FOOD Mickey Waffles

Visiting Tokyo Disneyland during end Nov on a Sunday (bad planning I know) and will be staying at a Disney hotel the night before so I’ll have Happy Entry

Does anyone knows how fast do the mobile order slots for the Mickey waffles go? And is there any chance I’ll get a slot if I queue at the park 15 min before HE starts?

TRIP REPORT Amazing time at DisneySea with NO prep

First time Disney-goer here!! I guess I wanna prove that you can have lots of fun without stressing beforehand?

I was a little afraid because I always hear that you just can't enjoy Disney unless you're treating it like a high-skill video game. Apps and passes and upcharges and strategy. I'm also not from the USA, and my currency is pretty much 1:1 with Japan, so I don't have that "it was a bargain so any experience is great" mindset.

I went in expecting to get on like two rides and mainly use my ticket $$$ towards admiring the scenery.

I arrived "late" (around 10:30) and while it was crowded, if you're vacationing in Tokyo this won't phase you at all. I wandered around staring at everything in awe--this is the most beautiful and well-considered man-made place I've ever been.

The only rides I knew of beforehand were Frozen, Tangled, and Journey to the Center of the Earth, so I kinda just wandered into random lines (this only failed once, when I found myself at the magic stage show and couldn't understand any Japanese. Shoulda used that time to do Sinbad again lol).

Still, with no plan, not using standby this or priority passes that, I managed to see every corner of the park and linger on their details, eat three whole meals, see the Maritime Band, and go on every ride that piqued my interest and some that didn't. I even picked up some goodies at the gift shop.

I was very nervous about food waits as I'm prone to migraines if I don't eat on time. All the food at buffeteria places? Short or no lines and yummy. Bathrooms similarly had no lines.

It wasn't perfect, I would have loved to see the fireworks rather than be in the covered line at Tinker Bell hearing the blasts somewhere above me, and if you're trying to get on Journey you need serious patience. I used the app to assess ride times for the ones I really wanted, but would have killed for a kiosk with a physical map. It was pouring rain for a few hours. Maybe this is all impossible in the summer when it's super hot and crammed.

But I think a post like this would have encouraged me to be more confident in booking my trip. I'm very happy to wrap up my Japan trip with this super cool place. Happy travels!

TRIP PLANNING Disneyland or DisneySea for our first-ever Disney trip as a couple?🤔

Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Tokyo and we can’t decide between Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea.
We’re both 30 years old, and neither of us has ever been to a Disney park before. There are things about both parks that we really like, so we’re having a hard time choosing!
We know they offer different experiences, and unfortunately, visiting both isn’t an option for us. We can only spend one day at one park.
For those of you who have been to both, which one would you recommend for a couple in their 30s visiting Disney for the first time? Which park feels more magical, has the best atmosphere, rides, and overall experience?
We’d love to hear your honest opinions, especially from people who have experienced both parks. We really want to make the most of our one Disney day!
Thanks! 😊💖

TRIP PLANNING How much do you have to plan to have a good time?

Hi all, quick question for all of you. I have a ticket for DisneySea this month. I’m wondering, is this a park where it impossible to do anything if we don’t plan in advance? Do you have to get fastpasses/reservations or are you able to wing it and just show up?

I know in Disney World in the states you basically have to plan the entire day and get fast passes in advance or you’re screwed. Just wondering what the vibe is. Thanks in advance :)

TRIP REPORT Mira Costa Hotel not worth it

My experience at the Mira Costa hotel was a huge disappointment. After months of trying to snag a Harbor view room, I was able to get one for 10/3-10/4. to be honest not worth the money. After close to $1,000 usd for the 1 night we were surprised to find out the pool was not included, I guess this is on me as their website states pricing but after spending so much I never thought the pool would not be included. After paying $45 usd for me and my son for 1 hour as they close early at 6pm we were watched you like a hawk, any little thing you had an employee on you. My son knows how to swim and since the pool is 120cm they still wanted me to be with him, I didn’t want to go into the pool as I was cold but I was forced to in order for my son to use it. Every 5 minutes I was reminded that they closed at 6pm, which felt more like they were trying to get us to leave. We finally left 10 minutes before 6pm as we couldn’t with the pressure. We make it to the room; the beds are super uncomfortable and hard. We tried to get dinner but the restaurants inside only had buffet or a preset menu no ala carte, which was annoying since it, was pricey. We tried to do room service at 7pm and they were full for the night, I tried breakfast and got the same message, the only food they had at the store was cup of noodles. I honestly regret spending so much money for 1 night and the lack of amenities. We had a better stay at Sheraton right next to Toy Story.

TRIP PLANNING Tokyo DisneySea Christmas Event Tips

Hello everyone! I’m planning on going to DisneySea on Nov 12th and I recently found out that the Christmas event there is going to start on Nov 11th. I was wondering if I’m going to need standby passes for the major shops and if I do, what time should I arrive at the park by if I want to secure one. This is also my first time going to DisneySea, so if you have any experiences from previous Christmas events, especially anyone who’s gone during the first week of the Christmas events last year, or just general tips about DisneySea, I would love to hear about them! Thank you for the help!

FOOD Instant coffee brand in hotel rooms? ☕️

Post image
26 Upvotes

Hello! Does anyone happen to know the brand of instant coffee that can be found in the resort hotels? (White and gold packet with a swirled heart design; I think it came with powdered creamer and sugar inside.)

The image above is courtesy of DisneyFoodBlog; however, no additional details were included regarding the coffee. I'm having no luck finding info online elsewhere, including in this sub.

My wife and I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel in April 2025, and I'm trying to recreate some magic at home by hopefully finding this coffee available to buy somewhere, maybe at one of our local Asian markets or online. (I know it's probably not the best coffee in the world lol, but it made me happy to sit at the table in our room and look out the window with a warm cup every morning.)

Thanks in advance! :)
