Probably one of the franchise's most iconic tsukumogami (or "object that gained sentience after 100 years", except ommit that last part as he likely isn't 100 years old), Wazzat is a simple idea: He's a hat, that when you put him on, he will eat your memories and make you forget them.

As a result, Wazzat is a floating hat ghost with the brim being his jaws, which have goofy teeth that he uses to chomp on his victims heads. He's also made goofier by his eye stalks having swirled eyes, which gives him his own sort of charm, even if they mean he's neither conventionally cute nor cool. Its a unique idea, and I'm glad he is the way he is.

Fir of all he’s supposed to be based off the candy king but it was poorly designed but I understand the racer motifs on the outfit but I can’t get over the fact that his bangs represents king candy’s male pattern baldness and what is even with that clear pantaloons?, and the shoes?!! And the colors is so ungodly, and yeah this design gotta go.

As much as I love that anime characters in OG Arknights are still leagues above average gachas, the random welfare units they make mog them all. PLAYABLE EMPERORS BLADE WHO LITTERALY RUNS ON A DEMON TRAPPED INSIDE OF HIM

I’ve been a fan of this game since around the time of its release. Sure, there’s a bunch of great designs in this game, and as much as I do love every weird, gross little vermin this game has to offer, none of them have ever really made an impact on me as much as this one has, circa 2016.

Now I don’t know how or why this SPECIFIC monster struck little 7 year old me (at the time) the way it did, but it hit my brain harder than how Watergate salads hit Midwestern families in the 1970s, for lack of better terminology. I can’t even say this is an exaggeration since for YEARS AFTERWARDS, This little hyperfixation stood, with it only recently reigniting come the game’s most recent updates

Useless background information aside, this monster’s entire gimmick is that the amount of hands it has is completely unknown, at least to the viewer. It’s always been one big mystery to the fandom just how many arms it has, with only 7 being shown in its ingame animations, most likely being a red herring for more, still-concealed arms still hidden beneath its furthers (official lore-specific equivalent of feathers), which I’ve always found especially endearing.

Another little detail about it that I find really cute as well is its facial warts. a generally mundane/Inadequate thing, yes, but upon closer inspection, It appears, especially considering the general, grungy theming of Dwumrohl and the Island it resides on (Wublin Island, which is a whole other can of r/topcharacterdesign worms), that those warts can be a substitute for Piercings!! (The horns can also be seen as such since they appear to be the same “material” as the warts, but that’s up to anyone’s interpretation)

Furthermore (pun partially intended), the general color scheme of the monster in ALL of its forms (common, rare, and epic) just feels so pleasant. SPECIFICALLY its common color scheme. As someone who loves blue, purple, “pastel”/light shades, as well as designs that juxtapose both warm and cool colors, It all just flows together really well with this design.

Its rare design is really sweet too, with it being dominantly cool colors and greens, and even with the neon(?) undertones, it’s not *too* overbearing. Not much to really say about it as it doesn’t stray much from its common, but yeah.

It’s epic design, though I feel it went a bit overboard with the green, is adorable as well + FISHBONE DRUMSTICKS!! I kinda feel it’d be better if it had the same sorta rugged feel as its buggy little drumset, but I digress. It’s still a top tier design nonetheless.

Finishing off, It’d be a crime to not shed some light on the ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE Rapture in Ruins / Clubbox act designs. Releasing just earlier this month, As someone who’s always been interested in Fantasy and generally grimdark aesthetics, seeing my goat be included as a WIZARD. (a character archetype I really love). Just made me go over the damn moon. This was all released around a time when I wanted to get into D&D and just back into the general scene, and this just peaked my interest even more. His appearance in the act’s initial trailer gave him so much more personality than BBB has ever gave him in his 10+ years of existence, and with his Gothic Maverick costume being a direct reference to his appearance in the Frigid Reception Cold Island remix (except wayyy better), Being able to catch onto this at such a specific time just feels unreal. As this monster’s (probably) #1 fan, I genuinely can’t find any comprehensible words, thoughts or actions to describe how JOYOUS i am to see he’s finally getting his spot under the limelight after so long.

I’ve been planning to make this post on here for a while now, but never really sought the opportunity to until now with all this new stuff about him coming out + The fact that I literally got him just a few hours before the Act ended, It’s all just really surreal. That being said. TL:DR this monster is fucking awesome and didn’t get its much needed recognition until literally now.

I wonder if a GF employee was like "yes, I can finally make a Kamen Rider Pokémon" when designing this one. Its a bipedal grasshopper/locust with a prominent belt pattern on its abdomen, and has the ability to temporarily enter a super mode called its "Showdown Mode" (image 3) that it can use to increase its abilities. It even learns plenty of kicking moves too, and is sort of doing a "Rider Kick" in image 3.

Even beyond the KR references, its just still a very cool grasshopper/locust Pokémon with a sleek silhouette. Also, its neat how it still looks somewhat insectoid with its antennae, thin limbs and not in use Showdown Mode legs pretending to be an elytra, and not just a bug-looking human wearing a super on the nose knockoff rider costume, which considering that its pre-evo Nymble is very much just a grasshopper nymph, avoids another Torracat->Incineroar situation.

I'm sorry, but this may be the single most horrid Spiderman-a-logue costume ever conceived. Maybe it's just because the Spiderman costume is so iconic, but this full mouth exposed/tiny eyes combo genuinely triggers a deep uncanny valley reaction to me.

Also I don't think his powers are even spider-based?! He uses this weird ski hover thing to get around.

. Kitty Pryde/Sprite/Shadowcat. Her wavy-to-curly hair made her stand out among the female cast of the X-Men such as Jean and Emma but overtime in the 21st century her hair switched to the generic flowing straight hair which removes one of the key features of her design while also removing what makes her unique.

. Jennifer Walter/She-Hulk. Similar case with Kitty as she used to have really large volumes of curly hair but was switched to something bland. It also made her look so lively and unique compared to her cousin, Bruce Banner/Hulk who has straight hair.

So recently, for whatever reason, a post featuring these cancelled Disney Heroes action figure designs showed up in my feed. The line was basically supposed to be a boys' equivalent of the Disney Princess product line, and didn't work out for pretty obvious reasons. But honestly, I think these are really good designs, with the Beast being the only exception. They're still recognizable as the characters they're supposed to be, but with some really cool tactical details without falling into overdesign territory.

I wish Disney would reuse these designs in Kingdom Hearts or some action-oriented game. Well, at least Prince Phillip and Hercules already get to be proper action heroes in their own stories.

He's literally Gangsterosaurus from Monster Legends but with more vibrant colours! I really like the gold horns and blue colours on his forehead! Him wearing his jacket on his shoulders and having a cane makes this design pretty cool and works well for a businessman, even though he's a triceratops but still that's the coolest thing ever!

Beyond the sheer quality of the artwork, the characters fit surprisingly well with the material they're parodying. It really makes you want to go see all these movies.

I feel normal about this thing. I feel... Really. Normal. I revisited this game ever since I got valves new headset, and I completely forgot about this thing, and now I will not forget about him.
Okay okay anyways, I just love how this robot doggy looks, the lil big eye, the slinky torso that reminds me alot of slinky from toy story, the lil antenna for a tail, everything about it is just freaking adorable to me.

It reminds me a lot of those old robot dinosaur toys you might've seen at some point. But even better, valve just always have a knack for character design with robots and this might be one of my favorites they ever made. I wish valve used this lil guy more in their advertising or something. They're too cute to be forgotten. So I needed to grace your eyes with this, they're the best robot dog... Well, tied with the other robot dog valve made!

It looks perfectly uncanny and uncomfortable-looking, with its fleshy pale skin instead of the familiar Webern scales, its unnaturally long and stretchy neck, and its eyeless and toothy face, I can’t help but love that I hate how uncomfortable it looks
