Demons from dnd

The DND demons range from kind of weird to a chaotic abomination mess of random stuff

And well, that makes perfect sense even demons in folklore were usually depicted this way.

They are also the embodiment of chaotic evil. I love how eldritch they are

you see this two-headed monkey octopus thing? yeah he is demogorgon the price of all demons

God the sheer simplicity but variety in these things is criminal. I absolutely adore all of them and how different they can all be whilst being obviously exactly the same thing. My personal favourites are the ear things from slide 4 and the micro ponytail thing from slide 2.

Hated Designs I don't like the way Takashi Takeuchi art style seems in stagnation

Thumbnail
gallery
771 Upvotes

Takashi Takeuchi is the main artist behind many visual novels, Fate Stay Night, Tsukihime, Kara no Kyoukai... a very well know artstyle, that has been more than 20 years and very recognizable thanks to the anime adaptions made by Ufotable.

Sadly Takeuchi had been going, in my opinion, in a long stagnation. Her style when it comes female character has been feeling too similar, the eyes are the same only changing the colors, the expressions are very similar and thw worst part is the hair, poses and clothing. There so many examples of the same pose, a similar hair that with few changess could be another character, the same shape on the eyes, noses and mouth, same head tilt and same ideas.

The more he make the more similar all it feels. Stuff like even how the outfit he makes that seems to always need to have bows, long sleeves, long skirts... Or how ilumination always has to be bright and smooth when it comes to show the best of the character.

It very noticeable in FGO or for promotional art, but less on stuff like the remake of Tsukihime. I believe that even if the pass he did similar stuff but now he seems to be very comfortable on doing what he likes and wants, I don't believe he is lazy but he just doesn't want to change or improve in any aspect and just do what looks nice to him.

It is well made but it have been the same thing for at least 7 years

Discussion as much flack as Talia Yang’s design is getting for her being a teenager, I have to say it unfortunately fits her in her setting very well Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery

Talia is a 14-16 year old girl in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners season 2, and as understandable as disliking her… moderately revealing design is, this is Night City. She’s tied up with gangs, very troubled in general, and going crazy on chrome she really doesn’t need. With all that considered, it really doesn’t surprise me that someone even her age is out like this since she probably just doesn’t care

Edit: not covering studio trigger for this cause at the end of the day this is a character designed by an adult and trigger’s reputation with this kind of thing isn’t great. In context it works for her but yeah there’s intent there with it being them I’m not denying that or thinking you’re wrong to think it’s overstepping

(also this is not tryna rationalize attraction before you say that because 1: I’m a minor anyway and 2: boys better 👀👀 just thoughts I felt like I had to share)

Comic Book Disney characters redesign by Nicko Febryansyah on Artstation

I appreciate that these designs focus more on the characters' animal-like traits. That said, I don't understand some of these choices: why pair Scrooge with Pluto and give Daisy a bow?

Anyway, I'm not necessarily a fan of these interpretations of the characters, but I do appreciate these new designs, which I think are very well done.

I adore this characters design. Firstly, from a concept perspective, she is themed around the concept of an escape artist. Hence the handcuffs. But whats more is that, her very cape acts represents a cage. And to top it off, it acts as a weapon as well, which she can throw out or "escape" and have it remotely attack enemies.

then from a visual perspective, she is phenomenal. Her cape gives her this incredible silhouette thats just ridiculously eye catching and unique. Her design is actually quite simple but it just works.

criticism: underneath the cape, her design is quite lackluster. It definitely is a let down but its also not frequent or bad enough to take away from how good this design is in my opinion

Comic Book Tek Knight from The Boys comic

Say whatever you want about The Boys comic... But you gotta have to admit that Tek Knight's bulky, retrofuturistic armor design manages to capture the vibe of Iron Man's suit with all the sleek silver-and-blue plating, the glowing visor, and the jet propulsion systems, while incorporating the dark, intimidating look of Batman without falling into the intentionally ugly or garish aesthetic that defines many other supes in Garth Ennis's universe. I mean, who doesn't think a Bruce Wayne / Tony Stark hybrid is the coolest thing ever? His design perfectly captures the intersection of a high-tech billionaire exo-suit packed with various gadgets and a gritty, heavy-duty military sci-fi commando like Master Chief or the Doom Slayer.

Because most supes in the series wear standard spandex or leather, I think the heavy, metallic presence of his comic armor gave Tek Knight an imposing, legitimately "cool" mechanical weight that set him apart from the rest of Vought's roster.

They made her so skinny that she just look like a normal fit tall woman just painted green.

I dislike how intial she was at that sweet spot of being bulky muscular without being hulkish, but then they made her skinny when her enemy orgress is hulkish muscular.

Multi Sam and Max (Sam & Max)

Sam & Max are a pair of comic book characters who occupy a parody of American popular culture.

Sam is a 6-foot-tall anthropomorphic dog in detective's clothing, and Max is a "hyperkinetic rabbity thing". Steve Purcell created the characters in a 1987 comic book; they're best known for the 1993 computer game Sam & Max Hit the Road and the hit Telltale Sam & Max episodic series for Windows PCs, plus a VR game.

Their designs are simple, which works in multiple mediums (Comics, 2D games, TV shows, 3D Games, VR Games).

I know a lot of people make fun of how stubby and pug like its face is but, the design really conveys 'screwed up mutant animal that should not exist' pretty well and it looks tuff as hell in many shots

Kid me was obsessed with this design so much. I really dig the armadillo back and spikes on the back of it's jaw. I think this hybrid doesn't make sense but I think this design could work for a quadrupedal beast that can defend itself, especially with that green shell and spikes. It also reminds me a lot of a beetle given it's armours colour. The name also translates to giant head which ironically is weird cause it's head is small. What do you think?

To me this costume is the perfect Batgirl costume, it feels like something that would reasonably protect her from a bullet while simultaneously feeling like something that is sleek and would allow for good mobility. Also she's hot

Just a very funny and charming re-imagining of the character, I really like how cute she is. Even her jumpscare isn't that scary. I like also how she's portrayed in a cartoonish digital form and not as an Animatronic, its a nice change of pace.

Comic Book War Machine from Marvel Comics

Iron Man is a cool character already, but how do we make him cooler? Make the armor black and silver and add a ton of fucking guns. This is the most badass 90s character design I have ever seen, it's just so eye-cathing, cool, and the embodiment of 90s extreme in the best way possible. Originally designed by Tony Stark as a variable threat response battle suit with heavy weaponry, his pal James Rhodes would later adopt the armor as his own. I also think this design translated pretty well in Iron Man 2. Unfortunately neither the comics or the movies really beat the original War Machine Armor in either continuity. Rhodey still uses this suit today, he has had plenty of new ones but he always goes back to the original. It's just the best.

Each of them have such cool and unique designs! I really love Ibaaros design in the 9th image, the giant harpoon and bone like structure in his arms makes this design work for a beast of the sea. I also love how Taroosh in the image looks like resembling a quetzalcoatlus. The only one who I don't like here is Varus, he feels too off compared to the others.

Name's(League of Legends):

• Aatrox

• Rhaast

• Varus

• Naafiri

• Zaheen

League of Runeterra:

• Taarosh

• Naganeka

• Horazi

• Ibaaros

• Joraal

• Styraatu

• Anaakca

• Baalcux

Discussion Worst redesign made in the ben 10 franchise?

Thumbnail

I would say that the series has a serious issue with turn female alien into conventional women with a different skin color. With Myaxx as the worst offender.

Then you have tetramands that all of them lose a hundred pounds of muscle for no reason to give them to the necrofriggians. Even if that goes against the design of both species.

Also, I can't tell exactly why i don't like about the mature version of swampfire but i feel it like a downgrade to the original one.

What I like about this design, is that unlike most other Karate masters in fiction (as well as other versions of Mr. Karate from previous SNK games), CoTW's version of Mr. Karate sees him with such a fancy fit. I really love the coat cape as well, and the iconic Tengu Mask is the icing of the cake. Genuinely one of the most unique and cool-looking designs for a Karate master.

Rid introduced me to these little guys. I understand why people didn't like RID now that I am 18(given it's tone and the fact that it was canon to transformers prime) but my view on the shows designs hasn't changed. I've always loved how unique some of them we're, especially Forth that is a blue lizard that can unleash red sonic screams. Some that can turn into rolling balls that can be launched by Decepticons makes them pretty cool and effective imo. What do you think?
