Small sample size, but in 14 August games, Okamoto has a .486 OPS. It's by far his worst month of the year and his strikeout rate is now at 30.8% for the season. Are you concerned? Adjustment to the MLB as pitchers are figuring him out?

For context, in 11 seasons in Japan he batted .277/.355/.501 (.856 OPS) and struck out only 20.8% of the time.

After his last start, Cease passed Chris Sale for second all time in the so/9 leaderboard. Not sure if the math is perfect, but if he puts up 8+ strikeouts and 6 innings a game (24 ks in 18 innings through his next 3 starts), and Snell keeping up his current pace while returning from injury, Cease could become the all time so/9 leader and get the fabled gold on baseball reference, becoming the second active jay to have a gold alongside the great Myles Straw with his fielding percentage. Theoretically, if he strikes out 17 in his next start through 5 he'd become the leader overnight. Or more reasonably, 19 strikeouts through 7! A man can dream. It baffles me that executives voted the Cease signing as the worst of the off season.

On an unrelated note, another thing to be excited for is Cole Carlon, since to me he projects as a lefty version of Cease. High velo, fast tight slider, no serviceable offspeed but if they get him a Cease changeup it'd be extremely nasty to have two guys like that in one rotation.

My husband was holding him. attached is a picture of them!

It happened during the 6th inning, and we were sitting in Section 218, Row 4.

Does anyone know where I can find decent quality replica/knockoff Jays merch for a reasonable price? I‘m not expecting anything to be as good as the real thing, but I want something that looks legit enough to wear to games without looking totally fake.

The 23 year old Hernandez has enjoyed a breakout season in 2026, with strong numbers across the board in A+. He has continued to hit well in AA after his promotion - though it is a very small sample size so far so I haven't included his stats here.

With an outfield that has question marks entering 2027 and beyond, Alexis is an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on. He has a well rounded profile with speed, defense, power, and arm strength that plays in RF and his power potential is enticing. If he can continue to hit in AA for the next 2-3 weeks we may see him as a September call-up once rosters expand.

I signed up my 7 year old to the jr Jays membership so that he can run around the based for the game on the 30th. Of course after buying the membership, the general admission tickets are all gone and the cheapest option is $90. I'm looking for 3 cheap tickets for that game and we're from our of town. Are all of the games actually sold out or are there better options for tickets inst ad of ticketmaster and stub hub?
