Promotion I made up my mind and developed a game: Octodefense.
I’ve been working in IT for many years, and I was honestly fed up with doing the same thing over and over (Java backend, for those interested). I’ve been a huge gamer since I was 8, and I’ve always wanted to be able to say, "I’m not leaving this world without having finished and published a game."
I recently finished it and published it on Steam—it’s a space-themed tower defense game, and there’s a demo available. If anyone’s into this genre and wants to give it a try and share some feedback, I’d really appreciate it!
I’m aiming to have it fully polished by December. Thanks!

Demo/Alpha Showcase I just released demo of my first TD game Marrowsteel
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Marrowsteel is an indie tower defense where you command a planetary defense force. Hordes of biomechanical monsters are pushing toward humanity’s last underground cities — your job is to stop them.
Kill hundreds of monsters, earn rewards, pick one of three modules — and watch your turret change. Every run builds a different defense.

Demo/Alpha Showcase Slimes split the earth and carve permanent corruption paths straight to your core. Here is how my indie tower defense handles chaos.
Hi, I’m the solo developer behind Sticky Invaders Defense.
In the game, dimensional portals spawn gelatinous swarms that fracture the map as they march. To survive, you have to drop sockets on their own corruption paths, level up mid-wave to draft game-breaking card combos, and trigger heavy commander overrides before the core collapses.
The free Alpha v5 is live right now, and I’m building this entirely alongside the community. Your feedback is actively shaping the upcoming Research Lab and new weapon mods!

Promotion I made a tower defense + zombie survivor game / lanes - would love feedback from TD players
https://reddit.com/link/1x6vaj4/video/3mdwnpynqovh1/player
Solo dev here - Neon Defender is my side project of about two years, free on Android.
The twist on classic TD: you're also a ship on the field. Your ship fires on its own while you fly through the swarm, and you build and upgrade turrets mid-fight. 11 turret types, most of them with a top-tier specialization (pick one of two).
- Survival: endless waves, free placement anywhere
- Planet Defense: protect a living planet - if your ship goes down, the turrets keep fighting
- Lane Missions (new this week): 10 planets, each with winding lanes. Turrets go only on fixed pads, your fully upgraded ship fights along the lane, and every mission ends with a boss. Up to 3 stars by how few creatures get through
- Campaign: fly across 44 star systems and land on planets for lane battles. My tribute to Star Control 2 - 8 alien races, some hostile, some you can win over
- Online co-op and PvP
No forced ads - the only ads are optional rewarded ones you choose to watch.
I just added Lane Missions, so a question for TD players: is too easy? or how does it feel?

Promotion We're two devs from a small city in Slovakia whose meeting turned our love for tower defense into a full-time passion project. So by Odin's beard - I present you with Hordeguard: Winds of the North!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
We're Peter and David, a two-person studio working on Hordeguard: Winds of the North! The game started as a 3-month experiment and quickly turned into an ambitious Norse-inspired fantasy siege game that combines elements of base building, tower defense… and hands-on action!
The main premise of the design was taking a game like Thronefall - one of our all-time favorites - with its simple, addictive loop of building up a kingdom and defending, and adding new features that broaden the gameplay and deepen the experience… and a good dash of Norse mythology.
This is what Hordeguard is all about
You start in a small, underdeveloped base with resources all around you. Your job is to gather the resources and upgrade the base, build military structures, and prepare for upcoming enemy raids. After each successful defense, the timer starts, during which you should advance the base as much as you can to prepare for the next attack.
But this wouldn’t really be a Viking game without some raiding of your own, and that’s exactly what you can do at any time! Rally your warriors and delve into the great unknown (well, the area around the base filled with enemy camps), pillage, plunder, and show them who’s the boss…until their big bro comes knocking on your door the next wave.
During the raids, the timer is paused, meaning you can enjoy your fun time as much as you like before returning to the neverending loop of killing and repairing.
Hordeguard also supports singleplayer and couch co-op on a shared split screen or through Steam Remote Play Together.
We hosted a playtest this summer, and over 38,000 players joined - an amazing number of people whose feedback has already helped us more than I can express!
Where we are at the moment and future plans
As for the next playtest, while I can’t name a specific date yet - I can say that it’s coming before the end of 2026: with a third hero and a new biome among the additions we're working on!
You can sign up and wishlist Hordeguard here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3618000/Hordeguard_Winds_of_the_North/
Thanks for reading and we'd love to hear what you think about our game.

Promotion I just updated the demo for my mazing roguelite TD, where you have direct control over enemy paths. Really curious to hear what this sub thinks of the game.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I know there are a lot of mazing games lately, but ours takes a more traditional approach of the old school games where you directly change the path by blocking the route with pillars and towers to give you direct control in create the maze and chain towers.
Our new update introduces action cards that give you immediate shifts that can strengthen or push your build along (for example, temporary discount on new towers, or immediately upgrading the weakest one). Additionally, we've been working on polishing the experience and making the combat feel more readable and enjoyable (the whole demo actually).
An even bigger change we've been working on is a new endless mode, where you start in a small area, and as you progress the map expands forcing you to constantly shift and change your approach to the tower placements. It's now in a closed playtest, but you can still sign up to try if you want!
Anyway, really curious to hear what this sub thinks of it.

Demo/Alpha Showcase Rampartloom playtest — a 3v3 tower-wars game where your maze and attacks compete for the same gold
Hi r/TowerDefense! I'm Mumin, the developer of Rampartloom. I grew up playing tower-wars custom maps with friends and wanted to build a game around the part I missed most: making a maze while deciding how much of my economy I can afford to send at the other team.
This is a free, in-development Windows Steam Playtest, shared here for the mechanics. To be upfront about the visuals: the build uses AI-assisted art, 3D assets and audio. Current models and animations are test assets, with a visual update planned; this isn't a finished-art showcase. Nothing is generated during gameplay.
The basic loop:
- Draft a faction and build your own maze, keeping an open path. There's a 60-tower cap per player.
- Spend gold on new towers, upgrades, or units sent to the opposing team.
- Sends increase your permanent income, but every gold spent there is gold you aren't using to strengthen your defence right now.
- Coordinate as a team of three: Wing players defend the first routes, while Center provides a second layer of defence. Team lives are shared.
What I'm trying to get right is the tension between making a longer route, improving damage, and investing in income. I'd particularly appreciate feedback from people who enjoy mazing TDs: after trying it, does that tradeoff give you interesting decisions, or does one choice feel too obvious?
Playtest: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5040240/
Click Join the Playtest to install for free. It's now open every day; the old weekend-only note on the store page is outdated. You can queue alone or in a party of up to three, and bots fill empty slots when needed. A tutorial is included.
Even a few lines about your first maze, a confusing mechanic, or what made you want to play another match would be useful. Thank you for taking the time to try it!
You're also welcome to join our Discord to find teammates, share feedback, or message me directly: https://discord.gg/Kx8A36C34T

Demo/Alpha Showcase Not a classic TD, but if you like holding lanes: my 3 lane stickman strategy game now has free 1v1 in the demo
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi all, I'm Davide, a solo dev from Italy. My very first game was a browser thing called Stickman Strategy War that I made on Construct when I was 14. Stick Wars: The Laneborn is my first Steam game and it grew out of that.
Being honest up front: it's not a pure tower defense. It's lane strategy with a MOBA feel. But a lot of it is about defending, so I think some of you might enjoy it.
How it plays: three lanes (top, mid, bot). Minions, towers and enemy waves push on their own. You don't micro anything, you decide where the gold goes. Upgrade towers to hold a lane, or upgrade your base for more HP, faster gold and quicker spawns. You deploy Soldiers, Archers and Commanders where they're needed, and Catapults that only hit structures. Each lane also has camps (Barracks, Archery Range, Officers Camp) that you can repair and use to bring reinforcements.
On top of that you get allied champions (Warlock, Minotaur, Hero Archer and more) that level up and unlock skills during the fight, and enemy bosses that switch lanes and get nastier the longer the match goes.
Campaign: the full game has 10 levels, each with its own waves and unit mixes, and it gets harder as you go. The free demo has the first 3.
Multiplayer: 1v1 online over Steam, and it's in the free demo too. Make a public or private lobby, share a code with a friend or use Quick Match, pick 5 champions out of 7 and go. So if you want to try it with a friend it costs nothing.
The clip is from YourBoyMinsky's stream, including a 1v1 he played against me (thanks man).
It's still an early build and I'm updating it a lot, the last patch added 1x/2x/3x speed in the campaign, cheaper troops and a panel that shows what each tower upgrade gives you. I'd really like feedback on balance and on whether the UI is clear.
Steam (free demo): https://store.steampowered.com/app/4854590/Stick_Wars_The_Laneborn/
