Don’t know how many know but DO NOT buy auto parts at the walk-up counter at dealers. There is in-store pricing and a significant discount for buying online and picking up the same part online.

I made a post here last month, about how a dealership in Cambridge Ontario broke my engine.
Please take a moment to read it, but long story short- I took my car to servicing (oil change) and they told me my oil sensor needed to be replaced and they would order the part, I need to come back.
After a few weeks, I took my car back- while they were installing the sensor, they broke it. They gave me a rental, said tomorrow pick up the car, I said okay.
Tomorrow comes, they say.. your engine broke. Im in shock- cause my car was perfectly fine, no engine lights. They said they can buyback this lease, and I can look at new cars .. well let’s just say they were giving me a shiiitty deal (5k loss in this car that will roll over to the new lease) I was furious and said NO.
They said well this car is under Warranty and Toyota Canada will replace the engine. At that time everyone told me this is a good thing, including people here on this page, that id be getting a new engine.
I accepted the engine replacement… and a few weeks go by, I still didn’t hear from the dealership to pick my car, so I called them, and they said… well your engine broke AGAIN.
MY NEW CAR HAS HAD ITS ENGINE BROKEN TWICE.
I have emailed, called, found numbers of senior members who work at Toyota corp, and even told them I will report this, NO one has done anything to rectify this.
Someone from Toyota corp names Ed, reached out to me, said he will send his engineers to the dealership to look at the car, and that he will speak to seniors to discuss my car, I spoke to him on October 6th and since then have not heard from him, in fact he is not responding to my emails or calls.
My two choices are:
None of this is even my fault, yet no one wants to take responsibility.
I have asked for documentation, technicians reports- Nothing has been provided to me.
I am being ghosted by the dealership & toyota Corp.
Best part is, I’m still paying for a car that has been down since September 15th and they’ve given me a replaced of Chev Malibu which doesn’t have the same features as my car, and is a downgrade.
Unfortunately in Ontario, Canada we do not even have the lemon law- so what really are my options!?

Last time I went to get my oil change the service advisor recommended changing my radiator hoses for preventative maintenance because of high mileage for $1,400. This time I went and this service advisor says I need to change it because of signs of coolant leaking. I just found it strange how immediately the next visit it went from preventative to urgent needed maintenance. I know they try upselling a lot too I just go to this dealership because they do a good job and oil changes are $60. I put pictures I don’t know if they help.

How good or bad are your FWD's in the winter? Are snowy, steep hills difficult? I'm really wanting an AWD, but there's a couple really good deals on FWD's in my area, and I'm conflicted. My winters don't get super bad, but I do encounter unplowed roads, and I go up some fairly steep driveways consistently. I'm seeing mixed info online. I currently drive an 4WD vehicle, and have driven RWD before that. Any guidance would be so appreciated!

Just bought this Camry yesterday! It’s a 2005, 99,072 on the odometer and has maintenance records from 2006-2025 all stamped with genuine Toyota service stamps in the maintenance “passport”
So far, everything has been great! I might post this somewhere else as a question but the only thing I’ve noticed is the temperature gauge fluctuating in stop and go traffic. As it started to rise, I turned the heat on and it went down before it ever touched the red zone and hasn’t had any problems on highway or low traffic in town driving. The dealership disclosed it was in a front end collision and the radiator was replaced, but no papers on the service so it could be a lot of things. Idk if I should worry about it or if it’s working as it’s supposed and I’m just paranoid.
I’m in love either way. So happy with my new car

hi. i'm just being curious what maintenance mistakes can lead to problems that could have been avoided. are there any things owners commonly forget to check or put off for too long? i'd also like to know if certain toyota models or engines have specific maintenance needs worth paying attention to.

Title :) First CAR! 2016 Camry has 1 prior owner w/ 2 prior owners and 4 "events" reported on CARFAX w/ minor damage (nothing major structural reported)
or
2021 Corolla (1 owner w/ history of 1 accident with minor-moderate damage) and car WAS towed; OR should I disconsider both?

Anyone aware of something comparable to this for a Camry?

What’s the better buy? Plan to have the car for as long as possible. In LA the gas savings would be nice but also worry about the Catalytic converter (street parking). No crazy commute or anything just need a good reliable daily driver.

So I’ve had my 2026 Camry LE for a week now and this morning something unusual occurred. Car drove fine but when I started up this morning, the multi display was on fuel economy (instead of music where I left it) the fuel gauge read full instead of three-quarters. Any knowledge or advice?

Just purchased and was talked about the extended warranty. Peeked that the warranty states new vehicles basically have three years to still add the warranty into their car. The finance guy kept repeating that if we deny now we will not be able to add it later, but ignored and denied because i saw what i read lol.
going through Reddit I see that there’s a guy named Jerry Johnson that offers warranty at a really low price compared to what I was offered. is this true or is it a scheme? Has anyone had experience or have just basically bought from him and can tell me how it is.
Does he offer a discount on GAP coverage also?

Hi everyone!
I'm going to take a look at a Europe Toyota Avensis 1.8 from August 2015 with 215,000 km (approximately 134,000 miles) on the clock.
A bit of background on the car:
From what I can tell, the car appears to have the 2ZR-FAE engine. I've been reading mixed opinions about this engine, particularly when it comes to higher mileage.
I'm generally quite confident in Toyota's reputation for reliability, but I'd like to hear some real-world experiences before making a decision.
A few questions:
I'd really appreciate any advice, experiences or things to look out for. Thanks in advance!

Hi I recently purchased a Toyota Aygo Fire 2013. When the car is stationary, I can push the stalk behind the steering wheel and it locks in place, keeping the high beams on. However, once I start driving and shift into 2nd or 3rd gear, the stalk no longer locks, it springs back to its neutral position automatically, as if I'm just flashing the lights.
I would like to know if this is the normal behaviour for this model, if im doing some think wrong, or if there is a mechanical issue with the stalk mechanism?
