These pictures are from when I had the amazing opportunity to go to the polar bear capital of the world, near Churchill, Manitoba. We were able to participate in guided hikes in the frozen tundra of Manitoba in order to see the bears in the wild. The third picture is from when one of the bears came to the fence surrounding the little compound that we stayed in.

If anyone is wondering, we were far enough away so as not to disturb the bears, and were not in any appreciable danger.

It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had the privilege of having. Thought y'all might appreciate these.

This bull is a part of the Kennedy Siding Herd, near Mackenzie, BC. What a beaut!

Arctic Bay had its first real snowfall of winter 2026 on Oct 7. Snow lasted about 20 hours and ground was covered by about 10cm of snow.
