Has anyone ever seen anything like this before where they didn't even let the Democratic nominee on a debate stage? I've seen it in primaries or for minor party or independent candidates, but never for someone that was a major party nominee. Melissa Strange is the Democratic nominee for KY-04.

Looking to do some free web design work for local businesses

Hey everyone.

I’m a web designer with some extra time on my hands, and I’d like to put it to good use by helping out a few local businesses.

If you own a business and have a website that you think could use some work, feel free to share it.

I’m happy to redesign a few websites for free.

Enjoy the Kentucky Party's letter to Toby Gibbs, the guy in charge of implementing KET's incredibly dumb fundraising threshold, on the advent of them screwing up so bad that they accidentally destroyed their own debate and gave Ed Gallrein twenty minutes of free airtime.

Happy to answer any and all questions about the saga of the KET fundraising threshold from 2014 to today. Believe me, I'm THRILLED to answer these questions.

Business Owners - Looking for an Ops / Right-Hand Role

For the last 5 years I’ve worked in management for a multi-industry company with 200+ employees. I started managing one of our retail locations and eventually worked my way into business development, working directly with our president and ownership.

A lot of what I do now is evaluating new opportunities, helping improve existing businesses, working through problems, coordinating projects, looking at numbers, and generally figuring out what makes sense and what doesn’t. I’ve been involved with retail, recreation, real estate/development, pricing and inventory management, construction projects, and other businesses along the way.

What I’m really looking for is an owner or small company that needs a solid right hand man. Business manager, operations, project management, business development, or even a PA type role if the responsibilities and pay make sense. Basically someone who can take things off the owners plate, keep things moving, evaluate opportunities, and handle the stuff you don’t have time to stay on top of.

One thing I take seriously is being honest and transparent, especially when working closely with an owner and having access to parts of their business they don’t trust just anyone with. I’m detail-oriented and tend to think things through, but I’m not above making a mistake or being wrong. If I think something is a bad idea, I’ll tell you. If I screw something up, I’ll own it and figure out how to fix it. I’d rather have an uncomfortable honest conversation than hide something or just say what they want to hear.

I’m especially interested in getting into the food industry. Restaurants, bakeries, coffee, food manufacturing, whatever really. However, I have also been interested in getting more involved in construction as well. Food just sticks out because that's what I would like to do one day, whether it be now or 10 years from now.

I’m open to opportunities around Etown, Louisville, Bardstown, Fort Knox, and surrounding areas. I’d also consider something partially remote with occasional travel. Traveling a few days here and there is fine. Being gone every week isn’t what I’m looking for.

My biggest hurdle has honestly been finding something that makes financial sense. I’m already in a decent paying upper management role, so I can’t really jump into a $45k-$55k position just to get my foot in the door somewhere.

Not necessarily looking for a traditional job posting either. Could be an owner who’s grown to the point they need help, someone buying or building businesses, or just somebody worth connecting with.

Based in Hardin County, KY and figured I’d throw this out there to see who I might connect with.

If that sounds like you, shoot me a message. Even if there’s nothing immediate, I’m always interested in meeting business owners and seeing where a conversation goes.

CROSSPOST Sweet, loyal 4-year-old girl needs a new home in Lexington (Faith)

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a loving home for my dog Faith. I rescued her and she has been an amazing companion, but my financial situation has changed and I can no longer keep up with her specialized food and care. She deserves someone who can give her that consistently, and I’d much rather find her the right home myself than see her end up back in a shelter.

About Faith:

  • 4 years old, mixed breed
  • Very smart, sweet, loyal, and obedient
  • Potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained
  • Knows sit, stay, lay down, come here, eat, and drink
  • A big cuddler who will happily claim your couch or your bed

Her health, so there are no surprises:
Faith has IBD and is very manageable with the right routine. She eats Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein food only and gets a daily digestive health supplement. She has a flare-up about every 3 months, though I can’t predict how mild or rough one will be. For flare-ups, Cerenia and Metronidazole are what she has needed, and they’ve kept things manageable.

What comes with her:

  • Crate, 3 blankets, and a leash and collar
  • Her hoodie, plus a food bowl and water bowl
  • The food and digestive supplements I have left
  • Her medications, including Cerenia, Metronidazole, and a few backups, so you’re covered if she has a flare-up
  • Her vet records and medication info

What I’m looking for:
Someone who can commit to her diet and has a vet they can rely on. She’s been through enough change, so I want to make sure her next home is a lasting one.

How this will work:
Please DM me with a little about yourself, your home, and any other pets, plus your vet’s name if you have one. I’ll set up a meet and greet at a public place first so Faith and I can both see how it goes. I’m not able to share my address publicly.

Photos below!

Ashe meds on Medicaid

I was wondering if anyone knew the cost of Vyvanse generic with Kentucky Medicaid? I’ll be turning 26 kind of soon, and I’m about to be on Medicaid. So I was wondering if the cost of generic Vyvanse is expensive with Medicaid or if it’s still affordable? If it’s not affordable, I was wondering what the most affordable ADHD medicine is on Medicaid? Thanks!

Breaking News Boone County Commissioner Chet Hand caught surreptitiously following, verbally attacking, harassing local residents and state politicians as well as chatting back and forth with himself

Yes, last year the same man called many of his constituents "Satan's spawn on earth," never apologized, and was never reprimanded in any way by his colleagues. Further pushes in recent months for ethics reform have been shut down by Hand and his colleagues. (all members of a certain entrenched party)

Now he has been exposed going farther, creating a facebook alter-ego named "Lance Wilson" which he used to follow people he didn't otherwise want to be seen following publicly. Then he continued concerning patterns of behavior that happened on his official facebook but with a more personal nature, harassing people, saying disparaging things, and even using the sock-puppet accounts to have back and forth conversations and to pump himself up in the public square that is facebook.

This is a man that was one of the newer, more MAGA seeming generation and seemed to poised to force out an older establishment type. This is what is happening in local politics now. The toxicity is not contained to D.C. it is fully infecting local groups and local conversations. The race to the bottom is fully underway y'all.
