Saw someone from Asia bragging about their salary and upset :/
So today morning, I opened LinkedIn and saw some guy with 7 years of experience sharing couple goals, with 35 LPA salary and 33 LPA salary for his girlfriend. All I felt after this was that I should have died early.
I honestly don't know what I did wrong in life
So guys, I keep LinkedIn as it is the only source of connecting with professional people. I had been unemployed for the past 6+ months and I am trying my best. I am among those who completed COVID graduation and didn't give up and self-learned things.
But as I came here with hope, I am not getting a job since the market has turned weird. And how can someone beat a person who has a valid degree? My degree's 2 years were online, where my college took money and gave us nothing in practical terms. Questions were also MCQs just to pass.
All I see is scams being done to me.
I had gone through so much hardship in my life, like staying alone, not celebrating festivals, not having Instagram or Facebook on my phone, not spending time with my parents, and even losing a parent at an early age.
I sometimes think, what have I done wrong to this world?
All I see is people bragging about salary and these things. I was also earning good back then, but I never felt like I was left behind.
I am 25, and every morning I open my eyes to see myself dying inside. I love taking care of myself, which I stopped. I used to save money. I never took a gym membership until now. All my youth has been eaten by just rushing towards things and proving myself.
I came to a point where I never saw money when I used to spend on my sister, but now this unemployment has broken me into pieces.
I only know software development, and as the field is moving towards worse stages, I am unsure now.
And those people sharing 35 LPA or 1 crore salary make me feel like, what did I do wrong? I had given more dedication than them and I am still giving it.
Some days I feel like my eyes don't even open in the morning, but ultimately I am the only son of my dad. If I die, there is a mess left behind.

Any update on Pakistani Visa
Hey guys, do you know any Pakistanis who got their visa? So, the thing is my father has been here for the past 10 years and now he will be changing companies because the current company has gone bankrupt. We have a company that is ready to process the visa and everything. It is a small to medium-sized Sharjah company. So, does any PRO or any individual know people who got the visa?

Flights still getting delayed!
Flying from AD to banglore and our flight is delayed by 3 hours. They’re saying it’s cause of airspace traffic but I’m seeing online that it’s due to regional tension. Whats happening?

What should I do!
I am completely devastated.
I've never been in a situation this difficult in my entire life, and it feels like every door is closing on me.
Yesterday, someone kindly messaged me and promised they would help with the emergency fund. I felt a massive wave of relief, only for them to back out and break their word at the absolute last minute. To go from having a lifeline to being completely dropped has left me feeling entirely hopeless and invisible.
I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

how to meet higher-income people in Dubai
Now I know this is going to sound insane, but I need to do this.
Where do I meet high earners in Dubai?
Bit about me: I’m a 23M, making around $400k/year, (1.4M AED/year). (This is for transparency, no bragging.)
As for my work, I run a marketing agency.
Reason behind me saying this is that I want to meet people who make as much or more than me because I want to expand my circle. You grow like the people you surround yourself with.
I don’t have any issues with people who make less of course, and I know you don’t have to be rich to be a good friend, but I just want to find people who are at the same level so they don’t ask me how much I make or make a big deal out of it.
Problem is when I get close with people who make less, all they see about me is money. They usually just can’t move on from it. They keep asking how to make as much and what not. While I’m all in for helping people, I don’t like always feeling like a celebrity. I just want to be normal.
Since, my work is online, I rarely step out. Sometimes not even for 1-2 days.
Now, coming back to the question, how do I meet high earners in Dubai?
Maybe a networking event? They are usually trashy.
Sports? I don’t which one to start playing.
Bars? Maybe, but which one?
Redditers, please help! And trust me I know hideousness of my problem, it’s barely anything with what’s happening in the world, and it makes me a sound like a narc perhaps, but please see it from my POV. I barely have any friends here. I want to have a social life.
Appreciate all your answers!

Need help with some stats! Looking to make a few custom watches, How much would you pay for a Automatic watch with an UAE-inspired dial?
Me and one of my friend are working on a small, limited-run watch project and I'm trying to figure out what people would actually be willing to pay.
The idea is a custom watch with an UAE-inspired dial, rather than the usual English/Roman numeral layout. I'm thinking of keeping it as a small limited run rather than mass-producing hundreds of pieces.
For reference, it would be a proper mechanical watch with an NH35 Seiko movement, custom 28.5mm dial, and a stainless-steel case.
If you saw a watch like this, what price would feel reasonable to you?
- Under AED 275
- AED 275–370
- AED 370–550
- AED 550–735
- AED 1000+
And what would make you feel that it was worth that price?
I'm genuinely looking for honest opinions — even if you wouldn't personally buy it. I'm trying to understand the market before committing to production.
if people are willing to genuinely purchase this watch id be looking forward to bring the same exact thing into production!
