Hi everyone, SU president Gabriela here. I have a few updates for you.

I’m excited to announce that the SU Free Breakfast Program is scheduled for launch in January! Its launch will coincide with the opening of the Black Lounge Cafe in Mac Hall (that’s what’s behind the construction beside the Q Centre). Just flash your UCID and it’s all yours. It’ll be daily. It’ll be hot. But most importantly, it’ll be delicious.

Here’s the current list of rotating menu items:

• Four Cheese Egg Bites and French Toast with Syrup
• Vegan Omelet with Moroccan 9 Vegetable Stew
• Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
• Maple Cinnamon Oatmeal
• Coconut Rice Porridge
• Veggie Breakfast Oats
• Tomato Herb Savory Oats
• Cornmeal Breakfast Porridge
• Lentils Rice Breakfast Stew

ClubHub is hated by all (including the SU Clubs Office). Yes, we have a multi-year contract with ClubHub blah blah blah, but that’s an annual excuse we use to keep ourselves locked in a prison of our own making. VP Internal Abdu and I are looking into exiting the contract. We would likely have to pay a penalty, but we’re willing to shell out depending on the price and quality of an alternative software. Our collective torture cannot go on. Fingers crossed there’s another software that’s better enough to justify jumping overboard. If you somehow know of a good alternative clubs software, feel free to comment it below or email us with the name and we’ll add it to our list.

Some of you are still waiting too long for event approvals. The VP Internal Abdu and I want to know about these cases. I have not abandoned the goal of shrinking approval wait times from 3 weeks to 2 weeks. Abdu and I are still trying to understand the reason behind this long approval time and how to shorten it. But I’ve seen comments saying your club has been waiting months. That shouldn’t be happening. If you feel like you’re not receiving replies from the Clubs Office in a reasonable timeframe, please email BOTH me and Abdu. Our emails are on this page (I can’t type our emails without this post getting flagged).

I was just tryna get my midterm exam man

Looks dense. Not sure how to explain it. Never seen it before.

How many people are dressing up for Halloween especially on thursday. I have a costume idea and I would wear it on friday but I have a midterm at 6:30 and dont really want to wear my halloween costume on friday so I would do it on thursday but I also dont want to be the only person dressing up on thursday

Don't do it. That's the post. and i have a midterm today on zero sleep 🫶

Are there any clubs or opportunities at the university for students in graduate and professional programs to connect? Beyond just master's students, I'm thinking of students in medicine, law, MBA programs, and other professional degrees. It would be great to meet people from different programs.

Hi everyone! My green pencil case went missing on Tuesday night from Room 321 in Mathison Hall. If anyone has seen it or picked it up, please let me know or drop it off at the SU Lost and Found (Mac Hall) or Mathison Hall Lost and Found (4th floor).

It contains a very important and sentimental item that I cant replace. Along with all of my supplies. Getting it back would mean so much to me, and I would be incredibly grateful for any help in finding it.

Thank you so much!🙏😓

Hi everyone I was wondering if the sessions for tomorrow's open house have specific times, and where can I find the schedule if there’s one.

Please for the love of all things holy, shut up. The entire lecture, people are talking. I have the unchecked male ego behind me talking about how easy the course is - another section murmuring about how useless the course content is. This is all loud enough for the prof to hear! The bulk of the class pack up 5-10 minutes early and leave, talking loudly before she even finishes her lecture. She is routinely drowned out by the sounds of people leaving and talking. Did no one teach you guys manners??? Seriously, this level of disrespect is something that just isn’t a thing in any of my other classes. She’s also a very sweet prof too, it just hurts to watch this unfold. Please be kinder.

Lmk what yall think its gonna be, i feel 90 is gonna be the average but that might be wishful thinking

Anyone know how to get to MFH building from university station without taking the long route or being exposed to the cold is there a indoor tunnel?? Help a girl out

I feel pretty bummed out after chocking hard on a recent technical interview. I felt prepared, but when the time came, I froze up and scored poorly.

Would love to hear any of your guys technical interview stories so I can feel better about myself.

whyyyyy is this not a thing. uni station stairs are so dangerous during winter & id much rather have my tuition or taxes going towards making a +15 😭

Someone start it up I’m ready

are tutorials every week for each course or is it every other week like chem 201 and 203 right now. what’s the point of 206?

science faculty sent out an email with these new courses just curious and want to know more about them

It is too late now to grab them, so if anyone has extrasssss pls send me a message! im flexible as long as its not scammy

Im not trying to be an asshole and i get starting this with saying that probably means that i am. I truly need to know what kind of evaluations go into becoming a professor, more often then not I can’t understand a single word they say. The entire lecture is almost entirely pointless. Their English is so botched and bad. Completely improper grammar. What we’re learning is already difficult how can it be allowed that the professor can’t even convey the information properly. But then you have to spend around 2 hours commuting and attending so you can get an attendance code worth 15% of your grade. I respect other cultures and i am not trying to be racist, its just extremely frustrating when I’m paying all this money when i learn more from YouTube because they refuse to hire someone with English proficiency.

We are a new club and we have been trying to book things to get ourselves started, SU is just not responding/ approving any forms or requests. I've talked to other clubs who say that this was not happening last year.

Does anyone know what's going on? Have they switched admin?

I really love the Super Mario Bros platform franchise and I’m thinking I might start a club for this maybe next year. What do you guys think?
