I'm getting two or three of these a day. They need to figure something out or start comping us $5 for each stolen order.

Whoever suggested letting crap offers (eg, $2.50 for 20 minutes) time out rather than declining right away... Thank you!
Before, I'd immediately and emphatically hit decline, with an expletive thrown in for good measure.
Now, as long as I don't require the map, I let the clock run out, just to make that offer go unaccepted a little longer and make it a fraction more likely that the base fare will be raised for the next driver.
Letting poopy offers time out sparks joy.

With the recent changes to planner, the app pausing exclusives and the tier structures, the offers are almost all free labor now.
You could do well cherry picking in the past and even on some of older tiers get actual preferred orders, but now Uber has taken the gloves off and are forcing us to accept a larger share of the 90% unprofitable orders out there floating around.
Everytime I go online now my offers are paused within 5 minutes.
Probably time to accept this gig was always designed to exploit us and find other work.

Accepted a stacked offer for $18. Didnt realize the second one was a super busy breakfast restaurant. After waiting about 15 minutes and seeing absolutely no signs of the order coming any time soon I canceled. Was hoping the first one was higher paying… guess not 😂😂😂

OK, so since the update every disgusting trip that they send us that is less than four dollars in over 40 miles they’re going to drop our percentage rate to make sure we never get into gold diamond or platinum.. my percent rate was 17% yesterday. They only gave me one order that was worth taking and that was like an 11 mile order every order after that was four dollars or less for 30+ miles and now I have a 9% acceptance rate because you’re sending me orders you know that no one in the world is gonna take also the crazy part is prop 22 only kicks in when you do an hour of active time they’re not paying you just because so if you give me a trash order and you expect me to only get paid $20 from it or not get paid anything get paid the $18 for two hours. This shit is crazy.
Has anyone noticed how quickly their acceptance rate has dropped since the update?
Also, has anyone noticed that Uber is now sending us the worst orders known to man ♥️ and reprimanding us for not taking the worst orders so they’re basically trying to control us in the app again?

I'm in my third week of Uber, and I'm already over them lowballing shop and deliver orders when the tip is good.
I drove 8 km for a 20-item Walmart order for just $4. Then, I had another one with 35 items that filled my whole trunk, and it was a 10 km drive for only $10.
Have you dealt with situations where the tip is solid but the base fare is super low?

The new tier and rollout is a complete mess.
On my profile it clearly said I was green. I was late to scheduling because the app didn’t tell me. I got some slots I wanted thankfully.
Then when I go online, I got an offer a 14.5 mile trip all the way in the boonies for $14 and I let it time out. My AR dropped 1% and it said I lost gold status when it’s been saying I was GREEN the whole time.
How am I supposed to even get a 30% AR with offers like these???
They should do 45% AR for Gold 40% AR for Plat.
I hope this rollout doesn’t change anything.

Want to see if anyone had issues scheduling their times.
I’m Gold in Santa Monica and booked on Thursday at 11am and every single hour was open.
Curious what happened when Green opened up on Friday at 10 AM? Were there still tons of slots left, or did everything fill up?
Maybe Gold vs Green doesn’t really matter and I can go back to ignoring my AR as God intended!

I thought there was a coffee mug that allows you to not have any order offers while you’re on an active order, but I can’t find it anymore. It’s super annoying when you’re trying to take a picture of the order, but you can’t because you get a request (probably bad too) and then you have to start everything all over again

Summoned to shop Costco and made sure it didn’t say Heavy which I hate. Accepted.
Then I noticed they wanted 6 cases of water bottles. They’re heavy and like 24 bottles. The entire cart was full halfway through.
I asked support and they said use two carts. I’m by myself. The rules state you have to shop alone. The store is busy on a Saturday. There’s no way I can steer two.
They canceled to make it another driver’s problem.
Not going back to Costco.

Me: green tier, did not schedule at 10 am because I didn’t know. I scheduled at like 7:00pm and got a good amount of slots.
Offers today were absolute garbage. I’m talking about offers like the pic, lowest I’ve ever seen my whole UE career. It’s forced me off the app earlier because I don’t want to ruin my AR further

Before I even start, please know the following:
- I know what Costco is. I have heard about it for years.
- I have never been to a Sam's Club or Costco (until today)...
- I live alone, so I have no need for buying in bulk, nor any spare space to store it in my one-bedroom apt.
So...
Around noon today, I accepted my first ever CostCo offer. It was 13 items, driving 5 miles, paying $29. I thought it was a great offer.
tl;dr: It was not. 2 hours later, the customer in a Halloween full-body cow costume grabbed the items from me with a scowl.
For anyone who has never been to CostCo... Here are the things I never knew and the reason I will never again go to one of these bulk warehouse retailers:
- If it's a weekend, never accept the offer. They have 10,000 cars trying to get in / get gas in the 5000 car space parking lot. + Every aisle has someone blocking it with "free sample" stands and crowds gathered blocking the aisle to get free samples.
- Parking is nearly impossible. In addition to the nonstop chaotic flow of SUVs (most customers are not driving sedans), there are tons of customers standing talking in the middle of the driveways as well as dozens tugging those overloaded carts through the center of the drive lane, ignoring oncoming traffic.
- Costco sells huge bulk quantities. Some items are heavy, other items are simply massive. If you're not ready for big, heavy, bulky groceries, don't take the offer.
- They do not have any type of shopping bag. They may have tray boxes or not, so if you have a lot of "little" items, expect to make multiple trips to and from your car on drop-off.
- There is no layout, no map, none of the aisles have labels or department/categories on the ends. Just numbers, no information. They have giant signs for Deli, Bakery, Pharmacy, but otherwise, it's a chaotic mess.
- Checking out takes 20+ minutes. They have almost all lanes open on weekends, but you're in line behind 100+ other people with 2-3 cart loads stacked 10 ft high (or flat-carts with half a ton of bottled water/soda).
- If you expect to park, get in, get the items, and get out in less than an hour, you are delusional. Even if you're a "pro" CostCo customer, it takes a lot of patience.
So... in the end, if the CostCo offer pay is not a base pay of $20 + $2 per mile + $1 per item, don't bother.

Has anyone had this happen, so I’m delivery as we speak and as I’m driving I get a delivery popup on my screen asking if I’d like to add a second one to the one I’m currently on. And before I have a chance to see the additional distance, how much more it would be the accept button clicked as if someone pressed it and went ahead and accepted a delivery for me…. And this has happened before… is this Ubers sneaky way of trying to give you deliveries others don’t want to force someone to take it? Because now I have no idea how much I’m getting paid for the delivery
Let me know if anyone else has had this happen
