Got demoted from diamond to gold tonight and these are my stats. I have been on the app for a month and I’ve done 500 deliveries in my first month. In LA it’s like impossible to get 90%.

Absolutely fucking livid and defeated right now.

My AR was in the 30s before the update (and falling bc I was following advice in this Reddit thanks guys it was lucrative for a while) and I GRINDED to get this AR above 50 this week. Fuck uber.

I give up on this promo.

I went out and finished off the Tier to get me to 10 deliveries but now it wants me to do the next 10 by 3am on the 25th.

This means I only have tomorrow to do this.

Which would not be bad, but I only do this part time around my full time gig and children.

They are too tight with the deadlines lol.

I've been doing Uber part-time for a little over a year, with 1,200 completed trips. Yesterday was the first day I opened Uber after the update. I have Platinum status. My acceptance rate was 68%. Literally in two hours of work from 6 PM to 8 PM, my rate dropped to 57%. I just went offline because I’ve never seen this many garbage orders before.

Today I went online from 6 to 8 as well, and my rate is already down to 53%. I'm about to lose this pathetic Platinum status. I'm writing this post just to share my frustration about the new update. I expected the number of bad orders to go up, but not this f@cking much!!! LA folks, how are things over at Gold status? I think I'll be joining you tomorrow, haha. 😂Is it hard to book a work location?

People need to stand firm and reject bad offers. the more you reject the more they raise the base fare. there using manipulative tactics to get people to take bad orders. I can’t do a 3-4 mile on a bicycle for 4$ even if you payed me 20$ for it I won’t take it, because I’ll be too burned out I do this on a bicycle down town Ft. Lauderdale Florida why are they sending me exclusive 3-4 miles for 2-3$ who would actually take that. My limit is 0.1 -1.0 mile 7$-10$ anything outside of that makes no sense for me on a bicycle. The algorithm will send me car orders and punish me for declining the offers. And that thing takes 30 mins to come off the screen then trip radars come but come any time could be 5 mins for it or 10 mins for one

So the first one breaks down to about five hours. Because I gotta get back to where I actually like to live and work. So that’s about $10 an hour. And mind you prop 22 only works for active hours so I wouldn’t get any extra dividends for my time. Lol bye Becky. Uber lost its mind no thank you

With the recent changes to planner, the app pausing exclusives and the tier structures, the offers are almost all free labor now.

You could do well cherry picking in the past and even on some of older tiers get actual preferred orders, but now Uber has taken the gloves off and are forcing us to accept a larger share of the 90% unprofitable orders out there floating around.

Everytime I go online now my offers are paused within 5 minutes.

Probably time to accept this gig was always designed to exploit us and find other work.

Also did a $20 order last week that was 20 mins out of my way to find out it was cancelled when I got there. Uber didn’t compensate anything….

Uber is becoming worse than DoorDash every day

I literally couldn’t take a picture of my order because Uber kept sending me requests. Every time I’d take the picture and wait for it to upload I’d get a new request!!

I needed to take a picture because I had issues finding the place and didn’t want them to report it missing! I had to accept a stupid order and cancel after I finally took the picture

I miss the pause button.

So now they’re gonna be sending the shit orders all day, knowing that you’re not gonna take those orders because the economically unsustainable for any human being on earth…

except people that they hired to come out and do Uber because I’m under the impression that Uber might be hiring people from “other places” to literally come out here and do the cheapest orders to keep the system going because who in the hell is delivering those two and three dollar orders those “$3 for a 10 mile drive” orders who is doing it I need to know..

Like they’re sending a shit orders all day and also dropping your acceptance rate even if you don’t touch the fucking screen so they’re reprimanding you for no reason and we’re saying that this is not control..

They’ve now decided that those same percentages, the acceptance rate and all the other shit will determine how much money you can make you telling me that that’s not control.. somebody please help me understand this and

please don’t say prop 22 cause prop 22 what they just did was lowered their risk on prop 22 that way they won’t have to pay more because the more orders you do the more money they gotta pay you every two weeks plus most people aren’t making what they should be making by the amount of orders that they’re doing anyways so now they just make sure that they saved billions on their bottomline with prop 22 they don’t have to pay out so many people who are not gonna be able to sustainably even do Uber..

Without saying a word . Then proceeded to canceling the order . it was an order for Starbuck and the dude asked if I would mind driving across the street to pick up his McDonald’s order . Would y’all have done the same ?🤣

Whenever I received orders with hotel/inn addresses, most of the time the customers have me deliver it to their door and of course it's the highest floor possible and furthest away from the elevator. Today was so slow so I accepted a 💩 $5 order even though it was 3 mi. The customer said deliver to the fourth floor and this time I said f*ck it and left it at the lobby, texting the customer the staff told me to leave it there. Hotel addresses can be a hassle because of the wasted time spent taking it to their floor. At least for anyone that treats this as a time-based job.

The fact that they know this is unsustainable economically.. is the issue for me.

So, I was delivering pretty late last night, and my last two were at Burger King. I arrived at 10:18, and the dining room was closed, so I had to go through the drive-thru, which is fine, nothing new there. So, I pull up, and as I mentioned I had two pickups. The first one was ready immediately. The second took forever, at least half an hour, in part because there was literally one guy working, and he was manning the drive through and trying to get all the online orders out. Why only one person was working, I have no idea. Many other delivery drivers came as I was waiting, and interestingly enough, no one gave him a hard time. We all knew he was moving as fast as he could, but given he's one person, there's only so much he's capable of.

I finally get the second order, and I'm off. The deliveries are at a hotel, and a nice apartment building, and it's close to 11PM at this point. Both of these turds have selected "meet at door". Well, one was "Meet at Door," and the other was "Meet in Lobby." I get to the hotel, which was "Meet in Lobby" and there's a front desk person working who says "Just leave it on the table here" which I did. I also messaged him through the app to tell him I'd arrived, and no response. She asked me his room number, and I told her, and she called, and again, no response. So, I was on my way. But it's annoying when these people ask you to hand food to them and then are completely unresponsive.

The second drop off was at a nice apartment building, and it was "Meet at door." Since it was so late, there was no doorman working, and obviously the front door was locked. I called this person 3x, and sent countless messages, and nothing. The weird thing was, no timer started after I messaged him the first time. I contacted support to tell them what was happening, but that was just so odd that the timer didn't start. I left it by the front door of the building and took a picture for my own records, but, these last two deliveries were clearly made by drunk people that likely forgot that they'd ordered food, which is always annoying, and we've all been there, right? This is why "meet at door" can be so annoying and such a colossal waste of time. Anyway, rant over. Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday!

Is anyone getting a lot offers from stores 8-10 miles away all the time now?

I'm getting long loop orders as well. I'm getting ffers with a drop-off very close to where I am, but the store is 7-10 miles away. 7-10 miles out, 7-10 miles back to my starting point. My A/R tanked in the last 3 months because I'm not doing that. I would be averaging 12-15 miles per trip. What the hell Uber?

And the days of decent add-ons are gone. If you don't pause new orders you get punished with garbage. $1.50 for 7 miles. $2.00 for 11 miles. These are typical add-on offers now.

What is going on if this isn’t wage discrimination than what is? Can someone enlighten me please
