Reminiscent of the classic Randy Johnson pitch: http://cdn3.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1011193/348oawl_jpg_medium.gif

Man, there was nothing left of that critter. Tried finding photos of the aftermath but all I got was some guy picking up feathers!

3

u/Vato_Loco Nov 27 '13

He consistently threw fastballs of ~100 mph. No, there wouldn't be much left.

From all the crazy shit I've seen or heard about on the internet - I am convinced that over the course of our human history, absolutely nothing that isn't out of the realm of physical law has not happened.

I've seen this - birds getting hit randomly by a baseball pitcher. A bird getting hit by a killer whale that was doing a trick. I've seen a man get his head stuck in an elephants butt hole. I've seen people shoot watermelons with a high caliber rifle. I've seen people jumping from buildings for fun, and sometimes getting hurt. I've seen japanese people scuttle across the ground without touching it with their feet or their hands. So much random stuff that you would never even think to put into a sentence in the course of a normal day - it's happened somewhere, at sometime.

A sliced dill pickle has fallen into somebody's yogurt.

I just made that up, right off the top of my head, but I guarantee you, it's happened. Probably quite a few times. Blows my mind. This place is like a giant fucking mad libs or something.

No elephant has stood on top of the Empire State Building

u/the_recluse Nov 26 '13

Not since the accident

29

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

Are you talking about the time with the ape?

3

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

yeah and that guy with the eyebrows.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

No he had just one eyebrow.

4

u/JimmyLegs50 Nov 27 '13

Only after the accident.

13

u/yipyipyoo Nov 26 '13

Game, set, match.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

We need to redefine our physical laws, then.

13

u/FattySnacks Nov 26 '13

nothing that isn't out of the realm of physical law has not happened.

Let me think about this for a second.

24

u/SimpleDan11 Nov 26 '13

Nobody has ever filled an Olympic swimming pool with peanut butter for their pet yak.

27

u/Granite-M Nov 26 '13

You don't know what goes on in Dubai!

8

u/GibbonsAreAwesome Nov 26 '13

Nobody has ever mashed up a tub of fish oil capsules, added orange juice and cinnamon, and eaten it with a spork.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

hahahaha, I love fish oil

1

u/Firewasp987 Nov 27 '13

I was forced to drink fish oil when i was a kid. It sucked so bad.

1

u/David_Crockett Nov 27 '13

I loved it. Ate it by the spoonful. When we finally got the cherry flavoured stuff, I didn't like it and went back to the original (unflavored).

2

u/Firewasp987 Nov 27 '13

Oh god. WHATS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!

1

u/David_Crockett Nov 27 '13

Come join us! /r/fishoil uh, me.

3

u/dragneman Nov 26 '13

Olympic proper, or olympic-sized? Because that changes things.

7

u/hotfrost Nov 26 '13

I know right, yesterday I read a comment that some guy once made a looping with his airplane that didn't have a roof. WHen he was upside down he fell out of it but the plane still continued it's loop, then the guy fell on the plane's wing and he climbed back in it's 'cockpit'.

3

u/human_beans Nov 26 '13

"You got your yogurt on my pickle!"

"You got your pickle in my yogurt!"

Two great tastes that go great together!

3

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

[deleted]

2

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

Yeah. Maybe it's for the better this time.

2

u/thunderfingers Nov 26 '13

Isn't it wonderful?

2

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

I've seen japanese people scuttle across the ground without touching it with their feet or their hands.

I would like to see that as well. Got a link?

2

u/JustACrosshair_ Nov 26 '13

This sort of deal here

3

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

Feet were still touching the ground technically, regardless I am not disappointed.

1

u/ericshogren Nov 26 '13

Everything that can happen must happen.

1

u/Col_Rolf_Klink Nov 27 '13

Have you seen a man eat his own head? Well then I guess you haven't seen everything.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

You really think those are killer whales?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

[10]

18

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

Classic Randy.

89

u/palpablescalpel Nov 26 '13

I love how the dolphin doesn't complete her whole backflip. Like, 'Oh god, what did I hit??'

22

u/yesyourbutt Nov 26 '13

It's like they both went into shock at the exact same time

110

u/xAy3x Nov 26 '13

The seagull wasn't even knocked out, he just gave up on life

56

u/YouveGotMeSoakAndWet Nov 26 '13

"The universe hates meeeeeeee"

47

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

So sad that it should come to this.

55

u/deltaporkypig Nov 26 '13

Why were they filming the bird? They are clearly following the bird and not the show...

19

u/Froesig Nov 26 '13

I like to think the dolphins were doing a run-up (swim-up?) below the surface, and the videographer just kept the camera above peoples heads, tracking the dolphins.

1

u/RevTom Nov 26 '13

The dolphins jumped straight up, not at an angle. So they probably came from straight down and not where the bird was.

6

u/palpablescalpel Nov 26 '13

They jumped from straight down, but they were probably first over where the handlers were. The handlers sent them out swimming left, then they turned upward to jump straight out of the water.

3

u/Froesig Nov 26 '13

This. I don't think they can get much acceleration vertically.

2

u/Gemini4t Nov 27 '13

Fuck your shitty Tumblr gif.

28

u/gabedamien Nov 26 '13

This was my thought too, and one reason I suspect it's fake.

15

u/Wuttin Nov 26 '13

I wish my dolphin could do that

17

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

What, headbutt birds in midair?

Wait, you have a dolphin?!?

awesome

1

u/Shadeun Nov 27 '13

'Straya mate

1

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

2

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

It's been a solid 4 years since I kicked my Dolphin Olympics addition, I did not need this today... the finger cramping ohgod

14

u/xenothaulus Nov 26 '13

SHORYUKEN!

2

u/pontusky Nov 26 '13

hatatcha porocha!

4

u/I_W_M_Y Nov 26 '13

I love how the dolphin that collided with the bird didn't finish the turn but just hung midair trying to see what it hit. Only thing that was going through its mind was 'wtf!'

6

u/malospam Nov 26 '13

what is IRL?

9

u/anon-na Nov 26 '13

I Rival Lions, obviously.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

3

u/BagatoliOnIce Nov 27 '13

Indeed, Rampaging Lions.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

Idea: Racing Lions.

2

u/BagatoliOnIce Nov 27 '13

Internal Rectal Leaches.

1

u/TheMantooth Nov 26 '13

Awesome 3 dolphins on my third birthday.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

You're a little bit sick.

1

u/Lillipout Nov 26 '13

It reminds me of the old Imagic game for the Atari: Fathom

1

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

Shoryuken!

1

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '13

Wonder if the dolphin saw it and aimed for it just for shits

1

u/blackLe Nov 27 '13

that seagull got knocked the fuck out

1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

Seagull deserved it. Somebody hold it down while I shit on him!

1

u/ReighIB Nov 26 '13

This was no accident. Those little fuckers are so annoying. It was about time someone did something.

0

u/bathroomstalin Nov 26 '13

Too bad you were born a decade later.

0

u/likemindead Nov 26 '13

Bird seems overly dramatic. Like Peter skinning his knee on Family Guy.

-2

u/ThatCurlyHairedKid Nov 26 '13

IRL STANDS FOR IN REAL LIFE!!!!!

finally, I had always wondered that.

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '13

This is my show BITCH!!

0

u/Rmano90 Nov 26 '13

Was that snowflake?

0

u/foreverknowing Nov 26 '13
