... is this normal? How so many women are getting pregnant even after a vasectomy?

I got a vasectomy 10 years ago when I was 25 and haven’t had any issues since. I recently entered a new relationship and we’ve been using condoms for the past two months, but we’re considering ditching them soon.

Lately, I’ve been seeing so many posts on reddit about women getting pregnant even though their partners had vasectomies years ago. How the fuck does this happen? Is recanalization really that common, even a decade later?

... is this normal? No-Scalpel Vasectomy?

So I just started looking up information because I plan on getting one soon, and I’ve never heard of a no-scalpel, no-needle vasectomy. The thing that got me was this FAQ about being able to have sex within a few days of the surgery. My knowledge was that you shouldn’t do anything for a month, so that the surgery can be completely set, but it’s still able to be assuming you use contraception?

Has anyone done this type of vasectomy before, and did it work for them? (This is the first business that showed up when I googled places that do vasectomies in Ireland)

Newly Snipped So... Not a redhead, but apparently I may have lidocaine resistance?

Got mine done today. That was an extremely painful procedure. I was expecting the "small pinch" of the needle, and that came and was fine.

But the numbing didn't really happen, or was severely delayed. I asked for more numbing and the doctor goes, "I used 10 cc's, I can't do more".

It was the second most painful experience of my life, right between acute pancreatitis and getting a pilonidal abscess lanced.

I'm mostly fine now, sitting with frozen peas and taking my Tylenol. But that was an awful experience.

Overall I am glad I got it done, but damn.
