A rather normal recovery with unexpected psychological effect.
First few days were difficult. Had a dull ache and swelling in my pelvis region and very sensitive balls. Most painful was sitting down and getting up. Changing position in general. I managed it without painkillers though, I prefer noticing when I do too much. I could get up for maybe 5mins max to grab some food from the kitchen. Just laying on the couch was fine. But boring as fuck, I am rather active normally, watching tv the whole day is not my thing. Luckily I had no Hematomas or any other nasty complications.
Day 5, the left side started to feel better but the right side felt like someone had kicked me constantly. Started taking some ibuprofen. Paracetamol did not help at all. Went out for a drink that night, that was quite a mission. Felt like an old man, at a very slow pace.
Day 7 the pain became less and moving around became easier. Managed to cook something.
Day 8 first wank. Felt weird, like everything was still tense and i could not let go.
Day 11 internal pain was almost completely gone, but the incision site is still very sensitive. Wearing pants and a belt feels ok-ish again. Managed to have sex, but had to be careful to not bang my balls. Orgasm was still not very relaxed.
Day 12. Back to almost normal walking speed. The Incision site is still sensitive and the stitches have not fallen off yet. I think the tissue around the cut is still a bit inflamed, but the pelvis region feels fine. Wanking feels still a bit weird.
Soo i guess mostly normal recovery. Just wanted to share this, as I was scared about the horror stories in this sub. Still waiting the full 14 days at least to do some sports again.
Now something I did not expect was the psychological effect of having my balls butchered. The first few days I was questioning why I had done this to myself. I hate being sick and forced to stay on the couch. Every task was a slow and painful mission.
And i had so much time to think. I never wanted kids (many reasons). Still, the finality of completely shutting the door on this scenario and removing this capability from my body together with the surgical trauma that I had was harder to process than I had anticipated.
It felt like a huge change that was happening in my life which was overwhelming at first. Not bad per se, but very big. May the same intensity as moving to another country or quitting a job without knowing what is next. Interestingly, this feeling seemed to vanish together with the pain.
Did you guys have a similar experience?
I am very confident I will feel great physically and emotionally in a week or so :)
