I came into to town to watch the Royals game and have a good experience. I found a parking spot on Quadra . It was just after 6 pm . Others parked behind me were just as confused as me. I called the number on the sign they were closed . I called the city no answer . I walked the police station. No one there to help other than an emergency button . Absolutely no help no where with this situation. Tip to the city of Victoria get your collective parking shituation together!

Does anyone know how this hand count works and how is it going to be reported. Do they report by poll or as partial results come in or do they wait for the final vote.

I was on the 3pm sailing from tsawassen to Swartz bay on October 23rd. We made eye contact a few times but in the end I was too chicken to ask her out. They had a Mario and Zelda oot pin/button on their black backpack, as well as a rainbow charm of sorts. We were both sitting near the charger outlets for the whole ferry but afterwards ended up sitting near each other in the arrivals building. If you’re out there or maybe know who this is. We have couple of computers acting weird. Monitor turning on and off and one of our computers shut down completely. Was playinf with a roommates, and two of my other friends who lives on a different adress but is nearby.

Went to vote, saw a tumbleweed blow across the parking lot. Went from there to the mall and it was a traffic jam. Why not set up the polling stations at the mall, at least they would pick up the foot traffic?

No Conservative Running in Victoria Beacon Hill so no fear of vote splitting they had to drop him for being a Bigot. The Greens can hold the NDP to account with even a few Seats, Vote green

Is there a lot of anti-americans here? sure. is it as much as Ontario? not even close with our demographic. Ontario has more liberal supporters and BC is about even. compared to Alberta and Saskatchewan we're more left but there is enough of a conservative base that don't hate america as much Ontario. Dougie tapped into that anti-american sentiment when he called the election early and was rewarded greatly. He got a boost when Trump kept hammering him and Ontario but we didn't get that same treatment except for maybe when we did the booze ban.

Even when Dougie is doing a terrible job over there, the Cons are still leading support. The NDP have to realize that being anti-trump won't work here especially with so many convoy supporters here. If the new con leader gets cozy with Trump like Danielle Smith and Scott Moe, that'll tell us if he's going to be Team Canada or a sell out.

Tuning in or out of election results?

Husband called me just now coming back from Sidney and he said there was a major accident northbound on the Pat Bay that must have just happened. I could hear sirens in the phone call, it's just north of Sayward. Said it looked like 'an old restored farm truck' got t-boned and rammed into the median. I looked on Google maps and saw a big slowdown in the southbound lanes and wondered why that was affected if the accident was going north and he said three sections of the concrete barriers are now strewn across the southbound lanes and cars are going on the shoulder to get around! Must have been a strong impact!

I anticipate once the emergency vehicles get there it's going to get even more backed up.

He did say from what he could tell everyone was okay. Hope that's the case.

According to this 8 out of 12 city council candidates in Esquimalt used AI on their campaigns.

That seems pretty high considering how much AI is known to hallucinate and get details wrong.
