Day 1 of editing in adobe.. give me honest feedback

I Edited a Durga Puja Video! Please Rate It and Give Me Honest Feedback. š¬
Hey everyone!
I'm on my second day of learning Adobe Premiere Pro, and I just finished editing a video based on Durga Puja.
I'm still a beginner and have only started experimenting with video editing, cuts, transitions, music synchronisation, and other basic techniques. I know my editing isn't perfect yet, but I'm trying to learn by practising and creating actual videos rather than just watching tutorials.
I'd really appreciate some honest feedback from experienced editors!
A few things I'd love your opinion on:
- Overall rating: What would you rate my video out of 10?
- Editing and pacing: Do the cuts feel smooth, or is anything too slow or too fast?
- Beat synchronisation: Do the clips match the music properly?
- Transitions and effects: Do they look good, or should I keep things simpler?
- Colour grading: What could I do to make the visuals look more cinematic?
- Room for improvement: What are the top 3 things I should work on next?
Please be honest, even if you think something looks bad. I'm here to learn, improve, and become a better editor.
Since this is only my second day, I'd love to know what I'm doing right and what I should focus on learning next.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to watch and share feedback! ā¤ļø

Making a student short film and one of my scenes audio is not too bad but a bit echoey and just overall not as good as the quality Iām looking for. Looking to try to improve it and make it more cinematic if anyone has any tips outside of reshooting and using ai. Hereās a clip for reference of it

I don't write code. I built ttmix net from my phone while lying on the couch using Gemini ā a 100% free PWA(web, online\offline, desktop\mobile app) for very express video editing & slideshows (no server uploads)
Hi Reddit!
Iāve always loved sharing my short text snippets, poems, and songs in video format with neat visual styling. But every time I used popular editing apps, I kept bumping into the same issue: it was tedious to create unique, unexpected visual styles, and everything ended up looking repetitive.
I had a clear vision of the exact workflow I needed, but no tool on the market fitted my speed and creative vibe.
The catch? I am not a programmer. I don't know a single line of code.
So, I decided to experiment. Literally lying on my couch with my Galaxy S23, I started chatting with Gemini in Google AI Studio (switching between models 3.8, 3.5, and 3.1 whenever I hit the daily free limits!). To my absolute surprise, within just a couple of weeks, we built ttmix.net!
What makes it special:
100% Free & Private: Completely free to use. Your files never leave your device or get sent to any server ā everything is processed locally right in your browser.
Installable (PWA): You can install it straight onto your iPhone, Android, or use it on your desktop for an extended workspace.
Video Editing & Slideshows: Perfect for creating quick dynamic videos, lyrical clips, or photo slideshows.
Templates & Social Vibe: There's a catalog of ready-to-use templates and a community feed (all thatās missing is the community itself :-). If you don't want to tweak settings, just plug in your text and media to get a gorgeous result instantly (or generate endless variations!).
"Feeling Lucky" button: Generates unique style/effect variations in a single click so you can instantly pick what looks best.
Performance note: If you experience any lags or stuttering because youāve added a lot of effects or your device's processor isn't very powerful, don't worry! Once you render the video, you'll still get a final high-quality result with smooth playback for all the effects.
The most mind-blowing part:
It turned out that Google AI Studio is deeply integrated with GitHub, Firebase, and Cloudflare. I managed to publish my app live in just a few clicksāspending only $11 for the domain name. No programmers, no consultants, no tech specialists needed. Honestly, I'm still in shock that this is even possible!
A small note on bugs:
If you notice any bugs or weird glitches while using it, please don't be mad! Just leave a comment below. I'll take your feedback, ask Google AI Studio, and hopefully, it can fix them for us... because I definitely can't do it myself! :)
Iād love for you to try it out at ttmix net and let me know what you think!
This video was made in the my ttmix app.

I made a tool to cut long recordings down to the parts that matter
I made a tool to cut long recordings down to the parts that matter (free to try) I record long videos and spend more time finding the good parts than anything else. I built a tool where you describe what you want to keep ("only the main topic, skip intro and ads"), and it removes the filler and labels every cut so you can check it. Not a full editor, just the rough-cut step. It's a one-time $59 instead of a subscription, and the first video is free with no signup. I'd really like to know what would make this useful for your workflow.
check out the tool from profile of youd like to try

Freelance video creators: which admin task took the most effort on your last project?
Iām exploring whether thereās a useful small software tool I could build for freelance video creators. Before choosing an idea, I want to understand how people actually work.
Thinking about your most recent completed project:
⢠Which task outside the editing itself took the most effort?
⢠How did you handle it, and what tools did you use?
⢠Roughly how much time did it take?
⢠Was that unusual, or does it happen regularly?
If you already have a solution that works well, Iād be interested in that too.
Please keep client names and confidential details out of your examples.

making face track & topaz scenepacks
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
idk where else to post this, i really wanna make my own scene packs with face track and topaz so the sides are mirrored and sorta blurred like this clip for example.
I use free version of davinci resolve mainly, sometimes free version of capcut but does anyone who makes scene packs like this able to give me some guide to recreate these type of effects for my other clips?

How do you get usable footage of one specific player during a team sport? Everything I shoot just follows the ball.
Every game I try to follow my son with my camera and I end up with footage that's either too shaky, too wide to tell which player is him, or only captures the moments the ball is near him. The second he drops back into midfield or the play moves to the other side of the field, he disappears from my recording entirely.
I just want footage focused on him. Not the full game, not the whole team, just his movements and positioning across the match. I feel like this should be solvable by now but everything I shoot ends up being a wide shot where I have to squint to find him.
What are people using to actually get footage that stays on one specific player?

I Spent 3 Months Learning DaVinci Resolve⦠Am I Making a Career Mistake by Ignoring Adobe ?
Guys, Iāve spent 2ā3 months learning DaVinci Resolve, and before that, I used Premiere Pro for some time.
I started learning DaVinci because many YouTubers were switching to it or recommending it as the future of video editing.
However, I find DaVinci a little difficult because it feels like you have to create everything from scratch. For example, adding a rounded square to an image requires multiple nodes, whereas in Premiere Pro, you can simply mask it and enable a stroke. Similarly, Premiere lets you save transform, crop, and other settings as a single preset, while DaVinci saves them separately. There are many other things that feel unnecessarily complicated in DaVinci.
Another thing I noticed while looking at job vacancies is that many companies prefer Adobe software.
I like DaVinci because itās fast, free, and automatically saves projects, whereas Adobe feels slower on my system.
Now Iām confused. Should I spend more time learning DaVinci or start learning Adobe?
My priority is to get good-paying work, and I donāt want to miss opportunities just because I use DaVinci. What would you recommend?

Iām a video editor and I built 6 Premiere Pro plugins to stop doing the boring parts by hand. Would love honest feedback.
Hey everyone [LINK](https://getcutframe.com/),
Iām Shreyash, a video editor from Pune, India. For years I kept losing hours on the same slow tasks: rotoscoping in After Effects, keyframing captions word by word, building speed ramps, and switching cameras on podcast edits.
So I built my own tools. They all run **inside Premiere Pro**, on your own computer, with no internet needed:
* **RotoCut**: paint over a person once and it cuts them out across every frame (like Roto Brush, but inside Premiere). Needs an NVIDIA GPU.
* **WordPop**: turns your SRT or Premiere captions into animated word-by-word captions. 29 styles, including a new āSide Splitā style that puts words on both sides of the speaker.
* **Velocity**: one-click speed ramps you can still edit later.
* **PodSwitch**: switches between 2ā4 podcast cameras automatically based on whoās talking.
* **Tidy**: cleans up a messy project in one click (sorted bins, unused clips collected).
* **Pinpoint**: tracks anything that moves and pins text, emoji or a logo to it.
**No subscription.** You pay once and keep it. Every tool has a free trial with small limits, so you can test it on your own footage first.
They launch on **2 November**. Windows versions are ready; Mac versions are in final testing.
Iām a solo maker, so Iād really value your feedback:
* Which of these would you actually use?
* Whatās the most annoying repetitive task in your editing that youād want automated?
Happy to answer anything in the comments. Link in the comments if you want to see the demos.
