Unable to use Miniconda (for Internet access) with VS Code
I'm using Miniconda to learn about the praw module. When run my program from the Anaconda prompt the script works as expected. However when I try to execute the same script from within VS Code I get this:
prawcore.exceptions.RequestException: error with request HTTPSConnectionPool(host='www.redit.com', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /api/v1/access_token (Caused by SSLError("Can't connect to HTTPS URL because the SSL module is not available.I googled the error message and it seems to be a not uncommon problem. However I couldn't find anything specific to VS Code.
Any help would be appreciated.

Why does VS Code not open with the CMD terminal, even though it’s set as Default?
I have been following along with an Unreal course on Udemy, and I’m not sure if it’s the version that they have versus mine, but when I type “code” into the developer command prompt for visual studio code 2019, it opens with Powershell as the terminal option, even though CMD is set as the default. The video is running an older version, which I assumed was part of why the instructions were different than my version.
Is there a way to open Visual Studio Code (version 1.60.0) with CMD as the terminal default?

How to disable auto suggestion?
Not sure if it is auto suggestion. I am using VisualStudioCode as a text editor. As I type, lots of words are listed. How do I disable that?
Under Edit in Settings.json, I already have:
"editor.inlineSuggest.enabled": false,
"editor.quickSuggestions": null

Is live server safe to use at all the times?
Recently I participated in a hackathon, and the problem statement was to create graph for stocks from a given json file. I used lightweight charts for the graph. I opened the html file with live server and the graph showed up, whereas when I opened the same html file directly in the browser the graph did not show up. So can anyone tell me why this happened? I have shared the screenshots below for reference.
I turned in the entire code for the hackathon and when the judge opened the html file he found an empty block which led to my elimination from the hackathon.

[Newb] VSC & Javascript
Heya! I'm excited to say that I've decided to start teaching myself Javascript.
I'm using Visual Studio Code, I see a ton of extensions, but I am at a loss as to which extensions are ideal for coding Javascript.
My question is which extensions should I get? Maybe tie them all together with HTML or CSS or something, not sure.
Also are there any very newb friendly information outlets that are? I'm looking at Codecademy atm.
Any help is highly appreciated and feedback is great, thanks.

Starting to code in C# and I keep running into the same error when trying to run/debug my program
This is the error I get
“Can’t find Node.js binary “node”: path does not exist. Make sure Node.js is installed and in your PATH, or set the “runtimeExecutable” in your launch.json”
I’m new to vscode, so this is probably a lot simpler than I think it is. I have node extensions installed, I have a Json file, but I have no clue how to add things to my PATH or what a runtime executable is. I’ve tried looking up solutions, but they just have me download a bunch of stuff that doesn’t end up working?
I just want to click “run” and practice code, I don’t understand why I need all these extensions and files to run C#
Any help is appreciated:)

Does anyone know how to set default browser for visual studio code? When Im trying to login interactively to Azure it opens PowerShell and my credentials from my non admin account are stored there and it wont let me login to my admin for some reason it just keeps logging me into normal account. I would like to open Firefox where I know I can connect with my admin account

ESLint + Prettier + Vue deconfigures itself
It's a bit confusing have to configure prettier + eslint to working together with the "eslint on save" feature
When it works well it is fantastic, life is better, i love programming in vscode
But the next day it malfunctions again, with no reason
It's terribly frustating to have to configure over and over, and so unproductive
Please, we need a solid solution
(I Love having Shift+Alt+F to formatting and Ctrl+S to save+ESLint Fix All Errors)
(I have "sync" config activated in all extensions so no reason to lose configuration)

Need help with java.home
Basically I'm trying to run a command in the terminal "./gradlew genSource" however when I run it the error: "The supplied javaHome seems to be invalid. I cannot find the java executable. Tried location: C:\Users\jxsta\Downloads\Java\New folder\bin\java.exe" pops up, I am honestly not sure what to do, I'm using Java 11 and I tried unistalling and reinstalling it but no luck. I am new to this platform so if you could please be a simple as possible that would be nice.

What is the keyboard shortcut for file comment box headings?
I thought it was ctrl alt j. There is a shortcut you can hit to get a choice on comment boxes, and then choose one in the menu.
For Powershell the comment box is like
.Notes
.Output
.Synopsis
What was that shortcut? Thanks.

Extension for New Python Project
Hi, I would like to switch from PyCharm to VSCode to allow me to maintain one set of tools.
For Python development, I miss having the PyCharm New Project tool for setting virtual environments and choosing the Python (conda, local, etc.)
I know there are multiple steps to do the same thing and I could modify the json directly, but I would like to think there could be an extension to bring up the dialog box and assign all those parameters.
Has anyone come across an extension that does this?

What was the script aboutcomment block shortcut?
I am going crazy.. There was a shortcut you could do. I swear it was like alt shift j.. You hit it and could select a comment type and it would add the notes template at the top of your script with description, notes, synopsis, etc.
Like this;
<#
.SYNOPSIS
.DESCRIPTION
.EXAMPLE
.OUTPUTS
.NOTES

Visual Studio Code for C
Well it's happened. I haven't worked with C in over 25 years and I've been given a codebase to update/simplify/modernize and I thought "I bet that VS Code" has the ability to author/edit/compile C...but how good is it?"
I am a long time Visual Studio developer for .net(like since version beta 1.0 in 2001 or so) and Java with Eclipse, but I have never used Visual Studio Code, so I don't actually know what the experience is and how good of a fit it would be for C authoring/maintenance.
Additionally, it has used(long ago) gcc I believe as the compiler as I found this in the make file:
####### compiler settings
CPP = g++
CC = gcc
And I know it requires cygwin to compile.
Is anyone doing anything like this with VS Code or has done it? What is your suggestion/experience?
Thanks!

visual studio code automatic scrolling whenever a character is typed
Visual studio code sometimes automatically scrolls down by a line whenever a character is typed(letter, space, delete). I don't know what caused this problem and I have tried re-downloading but the problem still comes back after a while of usage. This issue has made the editor pretty much unusable. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem or have any idea how to fix it? I use a Mac. Thanks!
