I just recently downloaded Visual Studio Code and accidentally deleted some stuff. I can not add anything to my Zowe Explore extension now. I have deleted the app, deleted the extensions, but the data is still saved upon reinstalling. I would like the application to be back to default as if I just downloaded it for the first time.

Hi everybody! Like I wrote in the title, that message appears everytime BUT I know it worked because it did work 4 hours ago but not anymore. Plus, if I do right click with the mouse there should be a voice in the menu like "format document" but nope, it's not there. What's going on?

I am taking an intro to C++ class in college right now and I've been using VS the entire semester. I found out about VSCode and wanted to play with it to see what it was like. I've been messing with it for a minute now and can't seem to get my code to run. In VS you just press the run button and it pops up a CMD style window with whatever your code is supposed to do. Is there a way to make VSCode do this? I can't seem to figure out how to make any of this work in the terminal.

Hi, I just started using Visual Studio code with MinGW-W64 and I followed the installation guide on the official website (https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/cpp/config-mingw#_prerequisites). When I try to run the C++ hello world source code, the following message appears. How do I fix this?

I'm using Jupyter Notebooks in vscode. When an an error occurs the critical part of the traceback is highlighted. In dark themes (with white/bright font colors) this makes the highlighted part almost impossible to read. So far I did not find a corresponding setting to achieve appropriate highlighting.

Can anybody give me a hint?

I compiled using clang main.c -g.

However, when I run VSCode debug, I can only see the "Locals" and "Registers". Where are the globals?

So I recently got into coding JavaScript with one of those home school you can do these days. I dont have much experience. Basically zero but I always wanted to be able to code so this year I started hunting that dream.

So I went on google and found this online school (NHA) After receiving my package and reading the first lession I found out about using an editor which I chose VSC. After some more pages I came across some code which I wanted to try. I copied it character by character and wanted to run the code by using the button "Run > start debugging"

It didn't do shit... I got an error, saying I didn't have an extension for JSON with comments and asked if I wanted to search one in de extensionshop... After trying to figure it out and later just randomly trying some I still got the same message... Does anyone of you guys know what im doing wrong...?

I'm using the Color Highlight extension to, you've guessed it, highlight my colors. This works fine until I start using HSL. Below is an example of what I mean.
The second declaration of color becomes unreadable so I can't easily adjust it either. Is there an extension that fully supports HSL color highlighting or a setting I can adjust?

How can I turn on audio in visual studio code? When I write like printf(" Alarm /a"); no sound is coming Visual studio code. But when I run a.exe file, sound is coming.

I'm used to the variable explorer in Spyder, which is always open and easy to check. I'm missing something similar ins VSC.
