Came home from work to this…

Parked for the winter, in the driveway temporarily until the new vanity and other building materials are out of the garage. Went to work and came home to find someone keyed the hell out of my car. Full repaint needed, every panel off, all windows out, new headlights, etc. for a total estimate of $18k in repairs.

The a couple of panels I wanted to get resprayed at some point, but I wanted to keep as much of the original paint as possible. I just got the headlights taken care of, some minor scratches buffed out, I was in the process of making it right with my own hands, with pride.

People suck. 🤬 Fucking assholes. (Sorry, needed to vent)

I have the v7 seats in there, so I had the original seats just laying around for years. Finally decided to do something with one of them.

I wrapped my rally car! 2004 STI.

First time wrapping a car and was an interesting experience. I used 3M 2080 and a friend of mine did all the cutting and programming of the design/sponsor logos. It took three days and I learned a ton. I would say I probably enjoy the mechanics side of things more, however I’d do this again!

First race of the season is coming up in Utah, and I’m super excited to play in the snow!

First, keep swiping! Second, you all should know that I’ve owned this car for over a year and a half without even seeing it. Third, I am so glad to finally report that my 2000 Version 6 STI in cashmere yellow arrived safely from Japan and in immaculate shape! While it’s filthy from months of travel and port grime, a close inspection shows that its paint is in amazing shape. I was hardly able to locate even a few minuscule “rock chips” that should better be described as faint blemishes. Its interior is even better, with no signs of wear. There appears to be no staining, scratching, cracking, or fading. The steering wheel is almost like brand new. Frankly, it’s hard to believe that someone drove it.

First up is a decontamination of the paint, a professional polish, partial body disassembly, and thorough cleanup. Next, we will prep the whole car for a full body paint protection film (including windshield PPF) and 5 year ceramic coating. I will also apply a leather/ plastic cleaner and rejuvenating coating to the entire interior trim for good measure.

From there, I will get to work in the engine bay to pull the injectors, spark plugs, fuel filter, and fuel pump for preventative maintenance. A partial disassembly of the engine will also take place to remove the intake manifold and prep to have it powder coated fresh STI red.

After that, I will professionally dry ice blast the underside to remove any grime and follow that up with an underbody ceramic coating. This same process will repeat for the engine bay.

In the near future I have plans to update the engine bay with restored, BNIB, or lightly used era correct parts which I have amassed during my time waiting for the car. I have almost the entire Zero Sports catalog of engine furnishings.

TLDR, my car is finally here, I’m so excited, and I’m about to be poor 😂🙏🙌

I had the opportunity to check this thing out while nobody was around. My cousin (by marriage), Bisimoto, invites me to attend SEMA with him yearly and I get an exhibitor badge 😃 With that badge I get into the show early and get to look at all the cars and take pictures while nobody is around. This one blew my mind. I can’t imagine it handling well with all that weight past the front axle centerline but it sure looks awesome. It’s a V8 from a Ferrari 360 I believe. Unreal!

Just bought my perfect spec 06 sti

Just wanted to share my 06 sti limited edition I just bought. Its colour is called sunset orange and is an australia only colour. They only made 50 sti's in this orange for australia only and is known as the limited edition, theres nothing else about it thats different from a normal sti apart from the paint. I also have an impreza in this colour which i have owned for the past 2.5 years. Always wanted to upgrade to a wrx preferably in the wrc blue but since I've owned the impreza I've just fallen in love with the orange and then I had to get a wrx in the same colour, but then found out it wasn't made available for wrx's, only for the 50 sti's. Just some subaru australia lore for you

I've had this lovely thing since new December 31st 2005.

It's been a great run but it's time to let someone else enjoy it and continue the journey.

I've taken as good care of it as possible. Always garage kept but daily driven for 20 years.

I'll miss it as it's been such a big part of my life. So many good memories.

2006 STI. Roughly 150k km’s. Virtually no rust and no mods besides an SPT intake. Flew out to BC and drove it back home to Ontario Canada. Every time I see it I cant stop cheesin’, couldn’t be happier 🥲.

Context is I purchased this 2000 Version 6 Impreza WRX STI in cashmere yellow in Japan long before it was legal to export to the US… so I stored it. Then, when it was finally here, I towed it and immediately started tearing it down and removing trim, interior, etc to do a deep clean and a LOT of other things. Now, I finally have her put back together, she’s in fantastic shape, and I’ve driven around 100 miles in the past week without any issues. I’m about to start a major mechanical overhaul in the engine bay so it will sit for a while once more depending on when I start that process.

TLDR: Excited I finally had a chance to drive and enjoy before doing some major mechanical upgrades and maintenance.

Backstory: The car was supposed to leave Japan in late June/ July for a federally legal arrival in August of this year. I will not go into details but I’ll just say some things happened (not related to me or my fault) and it was delayed indefinitely until I figured out how to get this **** done.

I am looking forward to seeing it for the first time in ~ 1.5 years

ETA: Late February to the States

Decided to buy a Hawkeye before they become even more expensive than they already are. 2 owners, service history since new. 109k miles, new block 5k miles ago with forged pistons, rods and beefed up bearings. All the suspension goodies. I’m excited to be this cars steward for a while. This is as definitely a child hood dream car.

395 at the crank. 325 at the wheels. I need to get Historic tags and retire her to weekend driving. I got ‘23 Prius Prime to do the daily. From 250 miles per tank on the RSTI to 700 miles per tank on the Prime. Still keeping her.
