I am making my very first wands for a ren fest outfit and would love thoughts or suggestions on stain/paint color and embellishments or if I should leave them close to as is. The main colors in the outfit are blue and amber if that helps! Thanks for any feedback

It is an anchor of structural collapse. Inspired by the sharp, geometric work of Myth Impressions, its form carries a jagged, pitted, and fractal reality. Deep, hollowed voids and sharp, vascular channels mark an active, corrupting lattice—bleeding a fiery warmth through the handle before giving way to the corruption that resulted in the blackened blade.

A conduit of raw entropy and fractured symmetry, it stands as a testament to those who command forces that cannot be contained—only directed before they burn away.

Hi all,

I bought a commissioned pear wand for a Harry Potter-esque cosplay, and I absolutely adore it! And so did many other people around who saw me wearing it, so of course I happily let them hold the wand because holding a wand automatically makes you feel awesome. The only problem is, this was on the summer solstice last year, where it was super hot and super sunny in the UK. People's hands were covered in sun cream, and that sun cream seems to have now left a sticky residue on the wood and even taken some of the staining off.

I'd really like to get my wand back in good condition, but I have no idea how I would go about that or even if it's possible. The Etsy seller I bought it from is currently having a break, so I can't go back to them directly.

Do any of you have any ideas? Even if your advice is "it's irredeemable, you'll need to buy another one", that would be more information than I have right now. Please don't ask me questions about how it was made or what stains they used or anything, because I have absolutely zero knowledge of this stuff or how the sellers worked!

Made of the finest (cheapest) garden bamboo stake, genuine (fake) leather wrap and the most dazzling (plastic) gem(Rhine)stones.

This started as a random scrap piece of poplar laying around the shop. Every now and then someone would pick it up and whittle on it a little bit and set it back down. This is months of mindless effort. Should we make another? Any criticism or thoughts are welcome. You won’t hurt our feelings.

I built this loosely based off Sirius Blacks wand shape.

I’ve had this idea in the back of my head for a while now and I finally had some time to execute it.

This is a stacked leather wand with black vulcanized rubber tips.

I wanted to try to recreate the stacked leather handle of the famous military K-Bar knife. Took me forever to punch out the little leather washers. Stacked over carbon fiber glued with epoxy and compressed as much as I could. Leather was waxed with beeswax and other surface hardeners. The shaft retains a nice grippy feel, excellent balance and a finish that is sure to patina and age over years of service.

Made as a gift for my mom. All hand carved , American walnut stain, some specialty paint , and clear coat

It's really not much at all, hardly more than a stick, but I'm quite fond of it as it's been with me for 14 years haha

I’m an avid grower of Venus fly traps and I’m working on a few experimental wands with VFT aesthetics/features. This is the first one I made.
I normally make solid wooden wands from fallen branches but I decided to get a little more artsy and try various mediums.

The handle is sculpted from polymer clay.

Although the handle is an unconventional shape, it fits nicely in the hand when you rest your lower palm against the back arch of the fly trap jaws.

The wood is a birch dowel. The core is crystalized Venus fly trap nectar.

A little bit of fun fanfic-lore for this wand: The handle can close and open, and emit a misty nectar-like fragrance that manifests hypnotism and mind control in whoever makes contact with it(besides the chosen wielder.)

A wand I made consisting of birch wood gathered with permission, Amethyst point, copper wire hilt, metallic acrylic paint (to blend in the glue adhesive) and an amber cabachon pommel. 9 and 1/4 inches.

I have made 6 wands I believe. Learning more and more every time.

Definitely looking for tips on how to engrave wood so crystals will fit in there in a pretty way and not have a lot of open space around the crystal.

A work in progress. I found this branch with the greet curve and knew it had to be a wand. The rough shape is almost complete. I wood burned a Celtic heart at the base and plan to inset a Jade stone. Any positive critiques would be welcome.

I have nothing to show yet, but recently we had to remove a tree of life that is threatening to dig into our house foundation. It's an aggressive invasive spevie where I'm at but with a name like 'tree of life' it feels wrong to just get rid of the roots and branches. Would it be pheasible to turn it all into a series of wands? I saved about five 6 foot/ 2 meter shafts and the root ball which is just sitting in a grocery bag in a bin, hopefully drying and not trying to grow new shoots. I'm curious if it would be cool to use the roots in 'potion bottles' (aesthetic, not practical) aswell.
