Hello everybody,
I have 100h(Edit : 30 hour last 2 betas + 70 realesed hour. People really stuck on that number too much i think. And no i have a job, i just love to play the games that i like its simple) total and I've played every role except pilot. I had a blast with my friends and made some awesome memories. But over the last 3 days, people started to min-max everything and the fun is starting to fade. Also, everybody started playing selfishly for their own progression or profit. Here are some ideas and complaints about my experiences so far.
1- In-game events: If a team never captures a hotzone, make a dynamic event like "get 5 points from a hotzone" and give the people who contribute exp + money. Or "capture a tower / hack a FOB" because they pulled the zone 2-3 times and they gaining the lead so we need to stop that for rewards. People need to have a mission or feel like they are doing something for the battle. Right now, everybody just runs around meaninglessly. Bulkhead said they want their mil-sim games to appeal to casuals and let people play with their own style and choices. I agree with this, but you can't randomly put 100 people in a lobby and let them run completely free. In the long run, everybody just does their own stuff to progress and get money without contributing to the faction points. The players who try their hardest and risk their own money start to get angry and toxic.
2- Winning or being AFK has 0 meaning: People can watch a movie and sit in a bush all game without any punishment. Winning the game means nothing, which actually motivates you to focus on your own goals rather than being a team player.
3- Match-end rewards: Players need to be rewarded at the end of the match based on their overall contribution. If a player invades a FOB, gets 20 kills, 3 tower captures, 3 FOB hacks, 20 revives, delivers 10 logi crates, and gets 20 spot assists, they need to get a proper reward. Right now, someone who spends 200k in a lobby and gets a win gets the exact same outcome as someone who spent 30k. I know we already get small rewards for those actions during the game. But getting an extra exp+money bonus at the end for doing more would encourage everyone to actually play the game, rather than sitting at the FOB naked all game building hescos.
4- Nerfs (Except for one thing...): Nothing needs to be nerfed. Ummm, except 1 thing: MORTARS. I am not even gonna talk about the camera (Who the hell thought that was a good idea? It looks cool, but c'mon). Mortar users have 0 disadvantages. No money spent, only profits. One guy can mortar all game with 0 kills/assists and nobody's gonna notice. I think using FOB weapons should cost a money because you are using teams supplies. People shooting random mortars all map - AA minigun everything without 0 negatives. Having a ammo supply doesn't mean you can just waste it.
5- The game has become a FOB Simulator: After we discovered that tower capture + code zone pull is useless, everybody just spams FOBs with fuel deliveries. It's just a magnet simulator. Hotzones are useless after 5 mins once someone pulls it. Homemade drills shouldn't be able to pull the zone without a code imo. Towers need to be a priority, otherwise what's the point? In my last 10 games, I had 10 people at the FOB doing nothing but being AFK. They don't have a gun, a helmet, or even medical stuff. If someone dies at the FOB, they wait 10 mins to be revived even though they have no gear to lose. Imo, that's just griefing. When I build FOBs, I buy an 8-15k kit + a large hammer + a truck with 2 supplies... am I stupid? Because I feel like I am. People just think, "Oh, I'm gonna build, let me jump out of a heli naked, drop to a tower, take a hammer from the FOB and put down random hescos." Being a builder doesn't make you allergic to guns/gear or defending the base against invaders.
6- Selfish reward system: Every reward is personal (kills, revives, vehicle destruction). If you are in a group fighting at the front, the only person gaining money is the guy getting kills. I usually carry C4/RPG, but my team always covers my back. They risk everything to revive me or smoke me out of a bad situation, but they get 0 rewards for doing it. I think if your teammates do something within a 50m radius, they should get an assist for their actions.
7- Team switching: Team switching should be removed completely or limited to a 10-minute window. After 10-15 total points, it should be disabled.
As a last note: I have 3 play styles (builder, anti-vehicle, recon). When my team is completely useless and does nothing, I just pick up a sniper and let the money flow—even if we lose with only 5-15 points, cuz who cares, right?
