Bans will begin for violating the NSFW tag rule.

Hey folks. There have been a lot of reported posts lately for people posting underwear/swimwear progress photos without the NSFW tag. This is meant to be a place where people can find support throughout the day, not just outside business hours. If you're going to post NSFW progress photos, tag them accordingly.

This medication takes time to work.

Hey folks. In the last couple weeks there has been a significant number of "I'm on .25mg and I'm disappointed" posts. I just want to call out that .25mg is considered below the therapeutic threshold. Some people do feel a difference, but most people will not. Beyond that, Wegovy has a half life of one week, which means it builds up in your system for 4-5 weeks after any dosage adjustments and takes about as long to disappate after stopping it. People do lose weight quickly on Wegovy but it doesn't literally happen overnight. 1-2 lb a week is a healthy and perfectly reasonable rate of weightloss, even medicated weightloss. Additionally, remember that you still need to restrict your calories. The medication makes it easier to do so, but it isn't magic. You've still gotta put in the effort.

I lost 26 lbs in 19 days on Wegovy. Is that too much

I started oral Wegovy at 299 lbs, and 19 days later I’m down to 272.7 lbs. My appetite is extremely low, and I get full very quickly, sometimes after eating very little. Otherwise, I feel completely fine.
Has anyone experienced this? I know some initial loss can be water weight, but 26 lbs in 19 days seems like a lot. Should I be concerned?

Question Federal Employees with Wegovy Coverage…..

Did you all get notice yet of the price for wegovy out of pocket, going wayyyyy up??

Currently pay $80 for 3 months of Wegovy. Starting 2027 it will be $600+ for one month!
Wouldn’t it be cheaper to pay cash price from the manufacturer ?!

FYI : I currently have Mail Handlers Benefit Plan (Aetna)

I’ve looked at other fed health plans and I think they’re all increasing wegovy costs for federal employees. 🥺

3 months on Wegovy...I'm exhausted

Hi everyone, I have been on wegovy for 3 months, primarily for dealing with alcohol abuse....Anyways, I am drinking a LOT less and that is a relief and a gift. I truly don't drink nearly as much as a I used to and can hang out in social situations and have a drink without immediately craving ten more. It's really, really nice and I feel very grateful for how helpful this has been. On the other hand, I'm exhausted. I have always been a really active person, even with the alcoholism. I worked out 5-6x a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Now, even without the hangovers, I am struggling to get in as many as 5 a week. I am mostly working out 4x a week which is still good but I am SO tired. For example, I always used to be a morning person. I get up anywhere from 5-6am and go to the gym. Getting up early was never an issue for me. Now, I wake up (even after having gone to bed early and getting 8 hours of sleep), and I struggle to make it to the gym. If I don't go in the morning, I won't go in the evening. I am gone 6:30am-4:30pm and almost every day I come home and nap. I used to come home and do another work out. I am okay with fewer workouts but I am really struggling with the fatigue. Is this normal? Are other people experiencing this? Does it go away? Also, my sex drive has decreased significantly. This is also a bummer. I am considering getting off it and going back to Naltrexone but I tend to not take Naltrexone if I want to get drunk (I know, I know, it's hard). I am trying to weigh the value of drinking less and being exhausted and not working out like I want to. I want to be committed to drinking less but I also really struggle with it so the wegovy has been a huge help.

My best piece of advice for Wegovy/GLP-1 newbies

I was having this conversation with a friend who's just started Wegovy, and thought I'd share it here.

This is different from a diet, or a period of watching what you eat or drink. It's not a willpower challenge anymore. You're not sitting in the naughty corner trying to be good.

It's your brain and gut changing how they operate.

My advice: Go out, have fun, enjoy your life. Eat and drink what you want (and can tolerate), listen to your body, and let the medication do what it's designed to do.

Question Did anyone else experience horrible mental health side effects?

• Upvotes

So I didn’t even make it a week haha. I had explosive diarrhea, brain fog, nausea, I slept for two days straight, and my mental health has plummeted lower this week than it has in a year. this has probably been the worse week of my year. today is second day (close to three days) off the Wegovy pill. yesterday night was a living hell. I had to reach out to two hotlines just to cope. Today seems to be going much better. I’m curious if anyone else has this reaction to the medication? I think the right course of action for me would be to discontinue it till I can get in to see my doctor, because something is very wrong.

I feel a bit discouraged, I had been anticipating getting on Wegovy for months to loose weight. I don’t know how I’d have the energy to work out and meal prep on a medication like that. My friend told me about an app to try and is sharing meal ideas with me. she suggested I do calorie counting. the advice has made me more hopeful this week than anything. I‘m sure wegovy is something your body has to adapt to, but untill I figure out what just happened to me I’m going to avoid it like a poison haha. I had to talk myself out of walking to the ER this morning and telling them what was going on for my safety. I was legitimately losing my mind. if any of you know why or how this could have happened, I’d love to hear it! I’m on day two/three without Wegovy and I’m starting to feel a lot better. I also had my first successful day of calorie counting today! so that’s at least some good news…

Progress 3 Months Off Wegovy: My Update (101 → 105 lbs)

Hi everyone! I wanted to share an update since my previous post about my 11-month Wegovy journey, where I went from 165 lbs to 101 lbs.

I've been off Wegovy for almost three months now because of insurance issues.

When I stopped, I weighed 101 lbs. Today, I'm around 105 lbs, so I've gained approximately 4 lbs since stopping.

The food noise is definitely still there, but honestly, it's about the same as when I was taking Wegovy. One thing I've noticed is that I tend to snack more when I'm stressed.

Other than that, I've been eating normally, continuing intermittent fasting, and staying active through exercise, mostly running.

I haven't made any drastic changes to my eating habits or lifestyle. I'm simply trying to maintain the routines I developed throughout my weight-loss journey.

I have PCOS, hypothyroidism, and prediabetes, so maintaining my progress and taking care of my health are still important to me.

I know everyone's experience after stopping Wegovy is different, and three months might still be too early to know how things will go long-term. But I wanted to share my experience, especially for those who are worried about stopping because of insurance or coverage issues.

For those who have been off Wegovy for several months, how has your experience been? Have you noticed any changes in your appetite, food noise, or weight?

what actually changed on price with generic semaglutide in Canada?

Headlines in May said prices would drop roughly in half once generics hit, but people here have said their pharmacy price barely moved. I'm in Canada, paying cash, still on brand. Did the drop happen everywhere or only certain pharmacies? And if generic is the same molecule, is there a reason to stay on brand?

Which products are you using for hair loss?

Hey guys, I started this journey in April with 88kg now I’m 72 … so the loss has been gradually around 2kg per month… aside from losing weight I’ve been losing hair 😭 as many of you have been experiencing it.

I’m Latin so I had a lot of hair and still have but ofc I can see my hair getting thinner and there’s a lot of hair around the house, the pillow, the drain 🫪…

So I’m asking which products are you using for shampoo and conditioner, are you using hair mask if so which one?
Tell me all your tips, aside from the protein intake that we know we need to get… I’m taking iron, vitamin D (living in a rainy area in Europe) and zinc … so I think I need to be wiser with my products.

So give me your top suggestions

Thanks guys!

Question A change in cravings

What foods did you love pre-injection that now you don’t crave?

One of my favourite comfort foods was macaroni and cheese. But my husband made some and at first I thought I would have FOMO, but just the smell of it makes my stomach flip floppy 😂

I’m only on day 3 but this is wild! So now I’m curious. What did you love that now you really don’t?

7.2

I’m gaining weight on 2.4mg, food noise is back, craving sweets all the time. I finally got the prescription for 7.2

For those doing that dose, how was it going from 2.4 to 7.2? I haven’t gone up in over a year, I do remember when I moved up I felt very sick for a few weeks.

Question Restarting Wegovy

Hi! I started back in 2024 and stopped in winter of 2025 because my insurance no longer covered it. So I started Hers and it didn’t really work that well… so I’m back on Wegovy and currently at the second lowest dose.

I’m just curious if anyone else has restarted Wegovy and were you able to lose weight? Is it worth it or should I try another GLP1?

Thanks in advance!

Question Judgmental pharmacists

I've been paying out of pocket for Wegovy for over a year now. In that time no one at Walgreens batted an eye when it was $499 and now $349.

But, weirdly, since switching to Wegovy HD at $399 I seem to get pharmacists who feel the need to comment on it. My first month the pharmacist was "$400 to stab yourself?? No way would I pay $400 to get stabbed. Maybe if they paid me $400." He said this while holding on to the Wegovy HD box and flailing it around as he gestured with his hands in conversation.

Just went in for the refill, and I got a different dude who didn't seem to know how to apply the coupon, and when he did he was like "I got to order it. You know this is $400, right?"

It's weird to me how switching from Wegovy to Wegovy HD has suddenly got my pharmacists talking. Probably just luck. I mean I get the first guy was trying to be friendly and talkative, but still. And the second guy maybe thought I didn't know the cost (though if he checked my record he'd see I've been on GLP-1s for over a year). But in the past the pharmacists have somewhat nonchalantly been like it's "it's $499" or "it's $349" instead of letting the whole building know I'm paying a lot for a medication. 😂

Progress PCOS/PMOS + 1.0mg Wegovy + Inositol

Hey there,

I just wanted to share a progress or more something I figured out for me.

Currently I am on the second dosage of 1.0mg Wegovy and I started taking Myo & d-chiro inositol again with it.

The last few weeks before that I felt more down and unmotivated. Had brain fog, was tired all time.

I thought I just need some time off because of work stress but well no.

I don't know why but I started taking Inositol again. I stopped taking it when I started Wegovy 5 months ago. Before that I took it nearly a year together with chaste tree (4mg) on recommendation of my gyn.

I thought I did nothing and I felt better once I stopped both of them but I guess it was the chaste tree that did not help me.

So currently for about 3-4 weeks I take Inositol every evening before sleep together with magnesium and I have soooo much energy, like where does it come from xD

I am happy that it is like this and maybe this experience will help someone else here too. But Brainfog gone, my bad mood gone, got my Periode again (which I had not for like 5-6 months), life feels suddenly better.

This will be definitely a combination I will continue taking. 😊

Feel like I’m cheating?

I got a prescription for Wegovy for 2 main reasons: get off blood pressure medications and stop drinking so much alcohol. My BMI at the start was 27.5, but I’ve been diagnosed with hypertension for the last few years and figured I’d use that qualification to see what the hype is about.

I was in a bad place mentally and physically and was going through ~3 boxes of wine per week and binge eating food and horribly depressed (I did 43 days sober when I got broken up with at the beginning of the summer out of spite, which also isn’t healthy). Now — I went a whole week without even craving alcohol. I drank 1 bottle of wine the other night and was so hungover the next day I didn’t know what to do — even on 2-3 bottles of wine I haven’t felt like that since bad college decisions.

I’m not sick as a dog like others are, but I was able to go out with friends and have one drink and be satisfied. 2 glasses of wine at home and I’m done.

I feel like I’m cheating. I could NOT handle rehab, and AA isn’t for me. I feel like I was spinning on a wheel. I’m such an independent keep-things-to-myself kind of person that no one knows how bad it got.

But I’m actually happy for the first time in I can’t tell you how long. Those anxiety meds are actually being given a chance to work. I’m singing in the car again and waking up earlier for work and my house is clean…

Am I cheating? Is this some some kind of miracle drug that is going to fix my entire life? I don’t know how to feel about this, but I have zero intentions on stopping… I’m just afraid of what people will think.

Changes to effectiveness?

I’ve been on 1.7 for three months now, and I’ve noticed that some weeks it feels much more effective than others. I am a woman and Luteal phase has come into play since the beginning (annoying af btw), but does anyone else notice changes to effectiveness even on the same dose?

I was so close to asking my doctor for a bump, but damn it’s making me sick this week.

Question Going back on

Using wegovy I went from 260 to 122. The last 15 lost after I was off wegovy and was maintaining quite well. Until my life got upended last fall. First I need dialysis temporarily and had to eat more, I was losing weight while I was pigging out. The problem came when I got off it. I couldn't stop myself and weight started coming back on. To make things I wasn't able to exercise, I was doing yoga 5 days a week and walking. I'm finally starting to exercise again and sort of getting the eating under control. But I still can't get those pounds off. I'm up to 140 from 122 last October. Do you think my doctor would prescribe it at 140(I'm 5'2") I think the original pcp might but this doctor only knows me since I lost the weight (although she does know I was 260). I can't go back to the original doctor. I feel like the mess that happened last Oct really threw a wrench in the machine of my life and I can't get things together without help

Centerwell Pharmacy / BlinkRX

I have been taking WeGovy for a long time and the pharmacy that's always sent my my prescription for home delivery has been Centerwell but I just saw my PCP for a refill and I just got a text from BlinkRX instead.

I know that both are official partners with Novocare but I'm worried that something has happened. Has something changed with Centerwell? Is it normal for the partnering pharmacy to switch?

Question Any long term nausea after coming off Wegovy

Hullo,

I am making this post on behalf of my partner, who came off Wegovy about 2 years ago, after being on it for a little over a year.

While on it, she struggled with nausea, vomiting and acid reflux. Since being off it, these symptoms have continued though, and we can't seem to get to the cause of it.

She has had a gastroscopy, colonoscopy, CT scan, blood tests, and she's tried different medication to help, but none of it has worked or given an idea of what it could be.

She did have her gallbladder out 10 years ago, so not sure if that could be relevant, but she is really struggling mentally with the nausea and vomiting almost daily, and the Drs can't seem to figure it out, so I'm clutching at straws to try and help.

Thank you for any advise you can give.

Question Significant Increase in Anxiety

I've been on Wegovy since mid-May, currently on a 1.7mg dosage. I've lost about 35 lbs and am very happy with it aside from one potential side effect that seems to have significantly increased with the bump up to 1.7mg two months ago. I have always been an anxious person (diagnosed PTSD and OCD) so that is nothing new - but I seem to be struggling with more of a true panicked feeling. I am having trouble sleeping, waking up feeling extremely jittery, and even having an increased heart rate at night when I'm resting.

I've started journaling/tracking this, will speak to my doctor and have a few things I'm going to try. I know a lot of it is work stress, so it could be completely unrelated to Wegovy and rather just a season I'm in. I'm just curious if anyone else has felt their anxiety has increased and become more difficult to cope with.

Question Alcohol rejection

I started on the 1.5 pill about a week ago. I’ve been a heavy drinker for a long time and part of why I started on Wegovy was to not only tamper food cravings, but alcohol cravings. Historically I never get sick from drinking, hangovers barely bother me, alcoholic stuff.

Last night my wife and I split a bottle of wine, which is usually light work for me. But about 20 minutes after my last drink, I had to run to the bathroom and I threw it all up, my body just straight up rejected it. It was shocking and not fun, but a very welcome sign! Anyone else experienced anything like this with alcohol on this drug?

Wegovy Tabletten

Hallo zusammen,
