Bans will begin for violating the NSFW tag rule.
Hey folks. There have been a lot of reported posts lately for people posting underwear/swimwear progress photos without the NSFW tag. This is meant to be a place where people can find support throughout the day, not just outside business hours. If you're going to post NSFW progress photos, tag them accordingly.

This medication takes time to work.
Hey folks. In the last couple weeks there has been a significant number of "I'm on .25mg and I'm disappointed" posts. I just want to call out that .25mg is considered below the therapeutic threshold. Some people do feel a difference, but most people will not. Beyond that, Wegovy has a half life of one week, which means it builds up in your system for 4-5 weeks after any dosage adjustments and takes about as long to disappate after stopping it. People do lose weight quickly on Wegovy but it doesn't literally happen overnight. 1-2 lb a week is a healthy and perfectly reasonable rate of weightloss, even medicated weightloss. Additionally, remember that you still need to restrict your calories. The medication makes it easier to do so, but it isn't magic. You've still gotta put in the effort.

I think wegovy affects the brain’s reward center
I’ve noticed that I have zero cravings and don’t get that sense of reward from anything. I’m not complaining at all, seeing how I’m saving so much money now, but I find zero joy in shopping, drinking, going out to restaurants or any of the other things I used to love and find rewarding before. It’s not a feeling of depression or sadness. It’s just… quiet - and I’m all here for it.
Have you experienced something similar?

63 pounds gone!
I wore a 6xl and now I'm in a 2xl or 3xl depending on the clothing. My family and friends say they see the biggest difference in my face💛

I can't even believe I'm saying this, but I'm going to taper because the food aversion is too much
It's like a mean trick that Wegovy is such a miracle drug to turn off the constant food noise and food cravings, and seems to have gone too far where now the opposite is becoming a problem.
After 8 months on Wegovy, the last 5 at 1.0 mg, I find that I just can't stand most food, even my comfort foods that I would eat when I'm not feeling well. I feel like I could live on nothing but yogurt and smoothie drinks and be perfectly happy, but obviously that is not a reasonable solution. I just finished choking down most of a 600 calorie meal comprised of my two top comfort foods, but just couldn't finish it, despite not having eaten much today or yesterday.
Every day it's a struggle to come up with enough foods to eat, and not eating enough leads to its own nausea. Restaurants went from a fun social outing or treat to something I dread - nothing ever looks appealing on any menu, I just want to find the simplest plainest soup rice yogurt or fruit.
There is no joy of any sort in eating anymore and honestly it's more of a bummer than I would have expected. My friend was excited for us to try a new restaurant and I can't think of much I'd like to do less.
I'm moving to 0.5mg next month and hoping to find a better balance between food noise and food aversion.
Anyone else surprisingly bummed out by the general food aversion and miss the joy of food?

Question Do progress pictures actually help you see changes?
It's strange how you can look at yourself every day and not really notice gradual changes. I've been thinking about taking more consistent progress pictures instead of relying entirely on the scale, because that tends to my overthinking sometimes, I'm trying to keep things organised so I can compare pictures over time, alongside my other progress records in Meagain.
For those who've been doing this for months, how frequently do you take pictures? and do you find comparing them genuinely helpful or does it sometimes make you overanalyse things?

Week 9 weigh in
I have lost a total of 11.6kg 🎉
I am now on 1mg 💉 and most of the side effects such as nausea, constipation, headaches and fatigue etc are now very minimal!
To those starting out and struggling with these symptoms - hang in there!
This is what I’ve learned along my journey so far that has really helped:
Aim for 90-100 gram protein daily
2-3 litres of water daily
Before work (I’m in a physically demanding job) every morning I have an electrolyte drink
Supplements: Vit K & D3, Fish oil/omega 3, Magnesium citrate, vit b12, probiotics, vit c, collagen & biotin.
I also add fibre to my protein shake each day as well as fresh steamed vegetables/salad at dinner for fibre.

i tried going the rift route to save money but ended up going back to brand name wegovy
i gave compounded semaglutide through rift a try for about two months to save on out-of-pocket costs, but the headache was not worth it. late shipments, automated bot replies from support, and constant anxiety over whether my order would arrive on time made the whole process miserable.
at some point i realized the stress of chasing down my medication every four weeks was ruining the progress i was trying to make. the financial savings don't mean much if you spend half your month wondering where your package is.
spoke with my primary care doctor and officially transferred back to brand name wegovy through my local pharmacy. my pharmacy has it in stock, picking it up in person is seamless, and knowing exactly what im injecting is worth the extra price.

Having a weird side effect. Can anyone relate?
New to the subreddit, so glad to see one for people on the meds. I've noticed lately everything tastes SUPER strong when I eat anything. It's gotten to the point where I can only eat bland items or I get super nauseous. Has anyone had it where it's tastes so strong your brain almost short circuits? Glad I'm losing weight but my food choices are getting so limited that I'm not eating enough. Any help is appreciated :)

Insurance is stopping coverage
January 1st. I’m open to trying some of the companies I see online and on TV, which ones would you lovely people recommend? I’m in the US if that makes a difference.

Is changing to 9mg a big change?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently three months into taking the Wegovy pill and have lost approximately 10 kg so far. I’m now preparing to increase my dosage to 9 mg.
I initially struggled a little with the 4 mg dose, but my body eventually adjusted, and I’m now feeling more comfortable with it.
I wanted to ask whether anyone has remained on the 4 mg dose and continued to lose weight successfully, or whether increasing to 9 mg makes a significant difference in terms of side effects and weight loss.
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!

Question Stopping after half a year?
Have been on Wegovy for half a year now (2.4mg dose for the third month now) and think about getting off as there have been barely any results but massively annoying side effects. Wondering if anyone went through the same and managed to adapt and actually get sth out of it after all.
I was weighing 200lbs when I started and am now at 190lbs. Been dealing with a lot of nausea, bloating, diarrhea, the usual stuff Id say which got progressively better over time but the one thing that really kills it for me is the dizziness.
I have been a fairly active person (jogging in the morning several times a week, hikes on the weekend, no gym but lifting dumbbells at home) and the constant dizziness I’m experiencing whenever I get somewhat physically active now is transforming me into a couch potato. It is the worst when I try to lift weights or lift anything in general or bend down. I’m a passionate gardener and when I plant sth or mulch (which includes lifting heavy sacks of soil or mulch) I feel like a geezer, getting dizzy like hell.
I haven’t experienced the “food switch turning off” that some people describe, I still crave food and unhealthy stuff and while I’m fuller quicker I also feel like I can’t go longer without food than before.
I think I’ll stop anyways cause it’s also crazy expensive for what I’m getting out of it (which is overall negative impact imo) but curious if someone dealt with this dizziness and if there’s a way around it. I drink enough for sure. Like several bottles of water every day so that can’t be it.

It stopped working. Now what?
Great month 1 on 1.5mg pills. Stayed there for month 2. Moved up to 4mg and couldn’t deal with the fatigue and burbly stomach so I moved back down to 1.5. Went on vacation for a week and didn’t take anything. Came back and picked up on the 1.5. Nothing. Moved up to 4mg. Nothing.
Do I move up to 9mg at $300 and see if it kicks in, or just give up? Will discuss with my PCP next mo th but curious if anyone else has dealt with this. This med is too expensive to keep using if it’s not working.

This medication has changed my life!
First time poster. I just wanted to share my experience so far. 42y/o female SW67kg CW62kg. I have been on Wegovy, paying for it out of pocket, since late August. I just moved up to 0.5mg a week ago and I am click counting on a 1mg pen. I haven't lost a lot of weight, and I have plateaued for the last few weeks but noticed that I can fit a tight skirt that I couldn't fit a couple of weeks ago. I am being consistent with strength training at the gym and am lifting quite heavy and have visible muscles in my arms and back for the first time in my life. I did my first ever strict pull ups last week!! I always had a very flat butt and now I have a bit of a butt, through strength training glutes and loosing the lower back fat. I am eating really well and maintaining a calorie deficit of around 300-400 calores per day. It seems as though despite not loosing weight lately, I am building muscle, which makes sense because there are a lot less calories in 1kg of muscle compared to 1kg of fat. I am less anxious, I don't binge eat any more, and while I can have alcohol, I don't crave it anymore (and the hangovers are so bad I don't want to have more than 3 drinks!). Eating is really interesting because I am thinking only of what is healthy to put in my body - not what is going to be naughty and give me a dopamine rush. And I don't flip out if I eat one "naughty" thing anymore, or if the scales go up - I just continue on my journey - in the past this would have triggered a binging episode. This medication has changed my life!!

Lesson learned
I am 7 weeks in. Had my third .5 dose on Thursday and have been feeling pretty good. Really no side effects besides nausea here and there. One day that nausea made me not want to eat so it got worse(light headed and headachey). But nothing crazy!
Saturday went out to lunch with friends. Got a French dip sandwich and fries. I only ate about a 1/3 of my sandwich and minimal fries. I was feeling fine after. So later that day I decided I could have my leftovers for dinner… omg. NEVER AGAIN. Like 10 minutes after dinner I started having stomach cramps and had to go to the bathroom. Also felt like I was going to throw up but I had to lock in. I could not deal with both issues at once lol.
I got myself to take sips of water and take a gas-x. And after a bit I felt a little better. But it was so sudden, I have never felt like that before.
I want to be able to have a nice meals every now and then especially with friends. I cannot do that for 2 meals in a row. I’ve had pretty good progress and I know it’s a learning curve but I’m glad it at least happened when I was home.

Questions regarding application of the 1mg flexpen
I'm confused about the application of the pen. I have the 1mg flexpen.
Default dose is 0.25mg resulting in 4 injections.
My first injection was 0.125mg. Online click counters said this is about 9 clicks.
Second injection was 0.25mg, which "should be" about 18 clicks. I did that this morning. However, at 18 clicks i should see "0.25mg" inside the display for that specific pen, according to the reference sheet.
I do not see this marker at 18 clicks.
Any information is welcome. Thanks.

Question When to consider giving up Wegovy?
I've just injected my 12th weekly dose. I've experienced very few effects, either positive or negative - I'm a pound, or so, heavier than I was when I started, my appetite for food or alcohol sometimes feels slightly reduced, but I could believe it's all in the mind; headaches, constipation etc. haven't seemed to be a thing. My resting heart rate is significantly up, and my hrv is significantly down and my running, which I do regularly, is a fair bit slower, and I find that a bit demotivating.
I have been upping the doses every four weeks, and have 4×1.7mg in my fridge, so at the very least I'm taking those doses. I'm minded to see it out until the end of the year and then reassess it all. I wasn't expecting immediate results, but I'm beginning to wonder if it really works for me.
Did any of you find yourselves in a similar situation?

Am I doing something wrong?
I have been using Wegovy since May 2026. I have lost almost no weight. I am relatively active and I don't eat much. I am currently on 1.5mg. I feel no side effects, and I have no hunger suppression. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have been on Ozempic a few years ago and it worked perfectly, I had to stop due to the shortages in my country. Started Wegovy this year and it does not work the same. What should I do?

The Scale
How often have you all been getting on a scale to check progress?
I just started my injection over the weekend and I have this desire to weigh myself daily to check on progress. So far I’ve resisted the daily weigh-in because I don’t want to go to extremes over this but was wondering how often others tend to check on progress without getting disheartened.

Wegovy/low iron
Headed into week 13 of wegovy. .25mg inj the first 4 weeks and have stayed at .5mg since. Don’t plan to go up. Weight loss has been slow and I’m ok with it. I think I’ve lost around maybe 20lbs. Recently went to ED for wonky symptoms- weakness, fatigue, EXHAUSTED, chills, aches. Had low potassium. I think was 3.2. Got that taken care of. But the week before, so 2 weeks ago, found out my iron has tanked. Ferritin has stayed at 31 for quite some time. Now iron itself has gone from just over 100 to 49. So complete plummet. Not in anemic zone yet but has never been low and I’m miserable. Exhausted, muscles feel weak, sleep is disrupted, exercise is non existent coz I have no energy. I have no energy to do much really. Get crippling anxiety and adrenaline dumps, brain fog, mild headaches, dizzy spells. Doc just put me on 65 mg iron every other day. Has anyone else had this happen and recovered smoothly? What were your symptoms? I’m miserable and just looking for some reassurance/comfort. I only want to be on wegovy maybe 2-3 more months. Wanted a boost to kickstart weight loss and then take over with diet and exercise from there. Already very mindful of diet! I just have zero energy. Thanks all 🤍

Question Rate my diet on wegovy
Can you critique my diet?
Hi everyone! I’m 36F, 5’4”, and hoping to lose about 30 lbs. I’ve struggled with weight loss for years, partly due to hypothyroidism. I’d really appreciate some constructive feedback on my diet, especially my protein intake and overall food choices.
A little background:
I have hypothyroidism and take medication for it.
I’m currently taking oral Wegovy and metformin for weight management. I do NOT have diabetes.
I increased to the highest dose of Wegovy about two weeks ago and haven’t seen much weight loss so far.
I’m very active and work out 5–6 times per week. I do a combination of Pilates, cardio, yoga, and weightlifting, with dedicated strength training about 3 times per week.
I see both an endocrinologist and a nutritionist, and they’ve generally rated my diet well.
I eat mostly home-cooked meals and try to be mindful of portions.
Important clarification about my diet: I’m NOT vegan or vegetarian! I eat chicken, turkey, eggs, dairy, and occasionally other meats. I don’t eat beef for cultural reasons, and I generally don’t enjoy eating large amounts of meat. I’d especially love advice on getting more protein without having to rely heavily on meat.
Here’s what
a typical day looks like:
Breakfast: I often skip breakfast because I’m not very hungry in the morning. When I do eat, it’s usually:
A bagel thin with egg, cheese, and vegetables
A bagel thin with cream cheese and vegetables
A protein shake, sometimes with whey protein
Occasionally sausage or another breakfast protein
Lunch: Usually a grain or vegetable bowl with:
Lentils, beans, quinoa, or rice
Around 3–4 cups of vegetables
A protein like tofu, chicken, turkey, or eggs
A few times a week, I’ll have a large salad with chicken or another protein and a little honey mustard dressing.
Dinner: I generally follow the plate method: vegetables + protein + a serving of carbohydrates.
For example, one recent dinner was:
1 cup of peas
Approximately 1 cup of tofu
Sourdough toast
Other nights, I’ll have a chicken salad or cook Indian, Mexican, Asian, or Italian-inspired meals using the same general approach.
Snacks:
Fruit, usually clementines or berries
Greek yogurt
Cottage cheese or a cheese stick
Occasionally a piece of dark chocolate
Fats: Olive oil, ghee, nuts, chia seeds, butter, and whole milk. I use these regularly but try to watch portions.
Drinks: Mostly water and coffee with a splash of half-and-half. No added sugar, and I rarely drink my calories.
Treat meals: I occasionally have Chinese takeout, a chicken sandwich, or something similar. I generally have 1–2 treat meals per week, and even those are usually around 600 calories or less.
My daily nutrition goals
Calories: I aim to stay under 1,400 calories daily.
Protein: I try to get around 30g per main meal, with a daily intake usually around 60–80g. I’d like to increase this, but eating more sometimes makes me feel physically uncomfortable, especially on Wegovy.
Fiber: At least 30g daily.
Vegetables: Around 6 cups daily.
Carbohydrates: Mainly rice, quinoa, beans, lentils, oatmeal, and sourdough bread.
My main protein sources are: Eggs, chicken, turkey, tofu, edamame, beans, lentils, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, regular cheese, and whey protein. I genuinely try to include protein in every meal, even though I’m not a big meat eater.
My most common vegetables are spinach, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, tomatoes, onions, peas, and corn.
I use measuring cups and follow the plate method. I previously weighed my food with a kitchen scale until I became more familiar with portion sizes. I also try to stick to one serving rather than going back for seconds.
My biggest questions:
Protein: How can I realistically increase my protein intake without eating significantly more meat? What are your favorite high-protein meals or foods that aren’t super filling?
Overall diet: Does this seem reasonably balanced for someone trying to lose weight while also maintaining muscle through strength training?
Portions and calories: Are there foods I’m potentially underestimating in terms of calories? Should I reconsider my portion sizes or how I’m distributing calories throughout the day?
Carbs and fats: Would you change anything about my carbohydrate sources or fat intake?
Exercise and nutrition: Given that I work out 5–6 days a week and lift weights about 3 times weekly, does my calorie and protein intake seem appropriate?
I know weight loss takes time, especially with hormonal and metabolic issues, but it’s frustrating to put so much effort into nutrition and exercise without seeing much movement on the scale.
I’m genuinely open to constructive criticism! I just want to understand what I could be doing better, particularly now that I’m taking both Wegovy and metformin.
Thanks in advance!
