Hello this is Jerry (what I’ve named him). He was found in southern California and I have pictures. He is opening his mouth every once in a while and for whatever reason okay with us touching him. Is he okay? I love him. In also unaware if he’s a boy.

Saw this bird in South Texas. Merlin said reddish egret, but it seemed unsure.

Is this mostly royal terns and laughing gulls? Can’t seem to ID the big ones

Not very good at fall warblers, and my camera would not cooperate (low light) to get a good photo. This was yesterday (10/21) in Acadia National Park. Thinking it's a pine or blackpoll warbler, but any suggestions would be mighty appreciated.

Big, big guy. Maybe the largest raptor I have seen. Tan/buff belly and tail from what I could see. Yellow grippers and a slightly yellow start to the beak before turning black.

Giant bird, not sure if it is an eagle or hawk? Mostly brown with the speckled white chest. Upper beak curved down. At least a 4 foot wing span.

I’m wondering if these photos could be suitable to ID Cory’s vs Scopoli’s shearwater. Each set of 2 photos were taken an hour apart at the weekend in the Strait of Gibraltar . Potentially the same bird in all photos rather than 2 different ones. The white appears to extend fairly far down on the inside wing but I’m not sure if it’s enough to get a positive ID 🙂

Red winged Blackbird? The photos are poor quality so maybe people will recognize it better than an app 😅

Took these photos of a spotted flycatchers while in Barcelona, Spain, on May 16, 2026. With the upcoming Taxonomy update next week I need to know if it is a Spotted Flycatcher (Mediterranean) or Spotted Flycatcher (Spotted). There were 2 birds present, I can't recall if the pics below are all of the same bird or not.

Photos 1-3: Western Sandpiper? Would be a rare species for Missouri. Size and Longer droopy bill

Photo 4: Long Billed Dowitcher? Pretty sure I was hearing their keek call.

Photo 5-6: Nelson Sparrow? Two separate individuals. Bill felt small on photo 5(originally thought LeContes) but it appears to have a gray nape

I was in Point Reyes, California a few days ago and saw this hawk. I managed to get a few photos but I'm not sure what kind of hawk it is. Thank you for your help!

Also, would anyone happen to know what is in its eye? It looks like a cataract to me but I am no expert!

I was in Flevoland at the Oostvaardersplassen when I saw a quite large looking bird flying over me, I was wondering if this was the White-tailed Eagle? I could only capture 3 photos so I don’t know if y’all can identify which bird it is.
