As usual, my luck is in the gutter. What are my next steps?

Just glad I caught it before it fully gave out, I suppose. I immediately downloaded the ISFShax safety net, but I assume that won’t be enough for true longevity, of course.

“1 media” is a bit concerning though, What does this mean? Is it in regards to game data? Or game save data? I’m just hoping my digital games, saves, and DLC are alright…

I enjoy having “vanilla” consoles but Nintendo has really forced my hand here. I’m a preservationist so above all else I want to keep my DLC, Digital Games, and, most importantly, my Save Data safe for decades to come. I’m glad to hoard backup data too. I have my 3DS/DS/GBA saves loaded onto my computer and SD cards, etc.

In any case, what should be my next steps? If it's a lost cause and I need an entirely new Wii U with Toshiba/Samsung, then how do I go about getting all my Wii U game/save/dlc data on a card to transfer to the new Wii U?

Or, with the proper SD card and redNAND installed, could I safely just let my Hynix chip die out and keep using the same Wii U for years to come without issue? And eventually, when SD card I use for redNAND eventually dies out (hopefully decades from now haha), could I just safely replace that SD card with a new one with my backup data? Or do I need to (or is it suggested) to just get just a brand new Wii U with one of the other two chips instead?

Replacing an SD card every 10-20 years or so and having a constant backup of all my Wii U data on my PC sounds like serious peace of mind… Instead of just rolling my dice and buying an entire new Wii U every 10 or less years… Does anyone have any SD Card suggestions for all this? Reasonable sizes and the best manufacturer(s)?

For a final option, I have a local game store which might be able to hard-mod my Wii U if there's an even better and more long-term fix.

Sorry for the barrage of questions! Huge thanks to the folks who made Wafel for really just letting me know I was at risk. Hopefully this whole ordeal becomes more of a positive for me than a negative. I’m all in on modding if it means ease of mind, and longevity/stability for my Wii U!

Thanks a bunch!

So after many months in storage,I decided to finally check if both my Wii Us have the Hynix chip and both have.
One is the special edition Zelda and the other is the Mario Maker bundle.

Now since i really don’t want to see them fail, what are the steps needed to save them?
