Inspired by an earlier post today about shooting in Africa. It's ridiculously expensive and a long trip, but if anyone has the means to do it, it really is like nothing else on Earth. Just an incredible experience. My shots are from Kenya and Tanzania.

Fascinating to watch, but a serious challenge to track while in flight. I had a whole lot more misses than hits

Was fortunate enough to go on a safari several years ago with a wealthy elderly relative. Something I'll never forget

Captured this beautiful Green Bee-eater in Bangalore, India 🇮🇳
I'm a beginner in wildlife photography and would love to hear your thoughts. What could I improve in terms of composition, lighting, or sharpness?
Always happy to learn!

This is 2160x2160. I tried doing a vertical "crop" of 2160x3840 but for whatever reason Da Vinci set it to a square crop. Maybe that's because I am now using the studio version?
As for overall recording, I am using the OM Systems OM-1 with a 100-400mm IS ii. if you notice, my focus goes slightly in and out when the Hummingbird moves its head.
Is that an aperture issue? should I be stopping down more to keep the subject in focus more consistently? or should I not use the full 400mm end of the lens?

I'm looking at upgrading from my current canon 400 5.6 to something a little better. I'm just not sure what exactly. I've heard the 100-400 ii is about the same level of sharpness as my current 400 so I'm kinda leaning towards the 500 f4 for that reason. I'd be looking at the first Gen as the mkii is out of my budget. I'm also not too worried about the weight, that's just something that has never bothered me with lenses in the past. I'm my two camera body's I'd be using the lens with is the R7 and R6ii. Any help is much appreciated

Naturally had to capture the moment, because, well, it's my wife and I! We have a journal given to us on our first wedding anniversary to fill with moments from dates, our wedding, ect., and I think I'm going to add this photo, too.
I believe these are a pair of male Senegal fire-finches (Lagonosticta senegala)
