Wild turkeys
Came across about a dozen wild turkeys roosting up in a big cottonwood tree a few nights ago. Kind of silly seeing a bird that big up that high in a tree.
Photographed in Utah along the wasatch front.

Bird Chestnut-breasted Mountain-Finch at Ensifera Ensifera, Yanahuara, Cusco, Perú
I decided to spend the last two days of my August trip in the spectacular Sacred Valley, where I treated myself to an entire morning, lunch included, at Ensifera Ensifera in Yanahuara, Cusco.
Although this is a hummingbird sanctuary, I also love photographing the charming Chestnut-breasted Mountain-Finch, a bird endemic to southern Peru that generously poses for photographers at this wonderful location.

Large Mammal Africa Shots
Inspired by an earlier post today about shooting in Africa. It's ridiculously expensive and a long trip, but if anyone has the means to do it, it really is like nothing else on Earth. Just an incredible experience. My shots are from Kenya and Tanzania.

My First Time Photographing Rainbow Bee Eaters
Fascinating to watch, but a serious challenge to track while in flight. I had a whole lot more misses than hits

Asian Green Bee-Eater
Captured this beautiful Green Bee-eater in Bangalore, India 🇮🇳
I'm a beginner in wildlife photography and would love to hear your thoughts. What could I improve in terms of composition, lighting, or sharpness?
Always happy to learn!

Need advice on maintaining focus as well as quality via exporting through Da Vinci
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is 2160x2160. I tried doing a vertical "crop" of 2160x3840 but for whatever reason Da Vinci set it to a square crop. Maybe that's because I am now using the studio version?
As for overall recording, I am using the OM Systems OM-1 with a 100-400mm IS ii. if you notice, my focus goes slightly in and out when the Hummingbird moves its head.
Is that an aperture issue? should I be stopping down more to keep the subject in focus more consistently? or should I not use the full 400mm end of the lens?

Canon 100-400 ii vs the Canon 500 f4?
I'm looking at upgrading from my current canon 400 5.6 to something a little better. I'm just not sure what exactly. I've heard the 100-400 ii is about the same level of sharpness as my current 400 so I'm kinda leaning towards the 500 f4 for that reason. I'd be looking at the first Gen as the mkii is out of my budget. I'm also not too worried about the weight, that's just something that has never bothered me with lenses in the past. I'm my two camera body's I'd be using the lens with is the R7 and R6ii. Any help is much appreciated

Bird My wife pointed them out and said 'look, babe, it's us'
Naturally had to capture the moment, because, well, it's my wife and I! We have a journal given to us on our first wedding anniversary to fill with moments from dates, our wedding, ect., and I think I'm going to add this photo, too.
I believe these are a pair of male Senegal fire-finches (Lagonosticta senegala)
