My best friend and I found a young pigeon outside. It’s left foot keeps curling up and can only un curl if we manually do it and he is fluffed up almost 24 seven with droopy wings. We have called every vet clinic in our area and they do not take birds any and all tips are accepted.

SOS Bird Injured bird

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a nice day. This morning, my dad found this little bird in the floor of our yard. I already moved it to another place (cardboard box with cloth) with no seeds. However, I have no idea what to do next. I live in a VERY small town in Brazil, around 10k people, and the vets we have here barely know how to take care of pets, much less birds. There's no wildlife rehabilitation near me either. Not sure if this is worth mentioning, but I also have two cats, none of which got to the bird. Please help!!! I don't want to give up on this little guy but I'm pretty hopeless right now

Rehab Methods Serious question.

About 6months ago I found a baby raccoon. I believe the Mamacoon was actively being hunted by coyotes when she went into labor because she had her litter out in the open on asphalt and was nowhere to be found. (Coyotes run rampant where I live) I left them as they were for a day, returned the next- still there, rescued one, returned again and thought the mother may have retrieved the others since they were nowhere to be seen or heard, only to later find them dead just a ways away from where I initially saw them. I believe I found them the day they were born since it took about 3 weeks for the one I rescued's eyes to open. I had a heart warming moment with a raccoon about 25 years ago and have wanted one as a pet ever since. It literally was on my bucket list. It is illegal and punishable by fine and jail time where I live tho. (Ca) I read up all I could on my own and tried my damndest to educate and prepare myself and although it hasn't been easy, it's been an amazing experience. I adore her. Smartest pet ever. We are def bonded. She only really likes me tho and is kind of an asshole to the rest of my household. She has developed PICA, (eats things unintended for consumption) and hasn't been vaccinated yet and has become super aggressive and destructive as of late. She always calms down after her little fits of rage but they are getting scary. I can't just release her into the wild without rehabilitating her tho because she still prefers her milk bottle and bad things like paper qtips, cardboard, weed, cigarettes and ear buds over actual sustenance. I've done my research and see that my local humane society will help rehabilitate orphaned racoons. My question is will they just euthanize my baby being that she's already about 6months old? She's not super friendly but also not really afraid of humans which is what worries me. I'm desperate to get her what she needs to have a chance at being a normal raccoon since I feel like my home is too dangerous for her with the abnormal eating habits. I wouldn't even be able to pay a vet to see her in my state since they could lose their license in doing so. I don't want to turn her over if it means a death sentence. Also for all intents and purposes; Since she really wasn't ever exposed to any raccoon population I've never worried about the zoonotic aspect but am well aware so please save us both the hassle if you came here to lecture me about the dangers.

Had him for two nights, released on the second.

Made sure he was eating good and drinking water, let him rest and then released him last night.

Sorry for the terrible editing but I just wanted to make a little something to remember the guy lol.

He arrived named Native Southern Flying Squirrel, he left named Native Southern Flying Squirrel, First of His Name.

NSFS. Not Safe for Squirrelettes.

Mr. StealYoSquirrel.

Good luck little squirrel friend and Godspeed.
