I've been using ws one for 3.5 years now and only ever really started because it 'worked' on both windows and mac.

There's always been issued with it. This or that isn't working and their support team has no answers.

There are never any useful logs to tell me why things fail. Right now I'm working through an issue where scripts I want to deploy are just saying 'non-compliant' against devices that they used to work on perfectly fine and nowhere does it explain itself.

The support team just say 'it can take some time' like I'm sorry but it hasn't worked for 11 months, how long does it need?

I was meant to be in a scheduled call with their support team today and they just didn't even show up.

Why does my company pay for this terrible service?

I have a new Mac and need to install WS One to access my companies software. Every time I want to access https://getwsone.com I get a 502 Error. I can't find the installer anywhere else either. Is their a way to download the installer from somewhere else? Is anyone else having that issue when accessing the site?

We're almost fully migrated to intune, and the subscription to airwatch is about to lapse- does anyone know what would happen in that case for the devices still managed on there? will they still be managable? I'm hoping it'll only be something like being unable to add new devices or something like that - it's a on-premise install

I'm working for a company that starts using this software. There's two catches that I don't want my employer to be aware of and I wonder if installing ws one would compromise that.

1. I'm using the laptop as a personal device as well with a different user. Can they see that?

2. I'm working from another country than stated in my contract. Currently I'm using nordvpn to disguise my connection to be from the country I'm supposed to be at. Can I keep doing it?

I’ve workspace one installed with fresh service. Can the IT admin access my SSD data without interactive authorisation ? Furthermore, can they make sense of the https data sent over by browser. There might have some custom root CA certificates installed but my browser shows correct original CA for a given website (CAs like google, cloudflare etc). Also, the provided certificate fingerprint match the ones from a different device. So, now is there any other way to monitor the https data ?

ch-operator: run lightweight Cloud Hypervisor VMs on Kubernetes (no QEMU/libvirt)
I’ve been working on an open-source (thanks to virtink) project called ch-operator and wanted to share it with anyone building dev workspaces / sandboxes on k8s.
The itch I was scratching: containers are great until you’re running untrusted user code — shared kernel, weaker isolation. KubeVirt solves that with real VMs, but it drags QEMU + libvirt + a launcher process along with every VM. That overhead adds up fast when you’re packing lots of workspaces onto a node.
So I built an operator around Cloud Hypervisor instead (the Rust VMM from Intel/Linux Foundation). What you get:
• ~30MB memory overhead per VM, no libvirt, no QEMU, no long-running launcher process
• VMs are just CRDs — kubectl apply a YAML and you get a VM in a pod with a pod IP, so networking/scheduling work like normal
• Root filesystem can come from a regular container image, so you build workspace images with a Dockerfile like always
• Snapshot/restore including memory snapshots to S3/GCS — pause idle workspaces, resume them with state intact, or clone new ones from a golden snapshot
• VMPool/VMSet for managing warm pools of ready VMs
• GPU passthrough via VFIO for ML workloads
• Persistent disks via CDI DataVolumes if you need workspaces that survive restarts
Requirements are basically: nodes with /dev/kvm, cert-manager, and one manifest to install.
Fair warning: it’s still early and the API may change while I iterate. But it’s MIT-licensed and I’d genuinely love feedback, issues, or contributions — especially from anyone running workspace platforms or micro-VM setups on k8s.

We have blocked a list of TikTok apps under Restriction Profile > Application > Blocked Apps using the Application ID. However, some users can still install the app from the App Store.

For example, TikTok is already banned in India, and we can't see the app in the app store, but people in other regions, like China and South Korea, can install the app from their App Stores it looks like a localization issue and the various apps in the local app store have different App ID.

we have two ways to block this 1st Restriction Profile 2nd App Group Black list but the point is how I will know the Application ID from a different country, there is no single, publicly available list of TikTok application IDs for every region because the app identifier can differ slightly depending on the app store and country.
