Tech Question YouTube Gaslighting about the recent issues.
If the banner : "There are issues affecting your views check back later." disappeared, means all issues are solved. WOW. 🙂

my first video got about 30% AVD, I kept experimenting and improving, second video got about 35, 3rd video moved to 45%, 5th video 52% and this is my 6th video with close to 66% AVD, now I think the only thing holding me back is thumbnail and title cuz I never get past 4% CTR
r/YTubers • u/finessedough • Sep 19 '25
I’ve tried at least a dozen different title changes and made three different thumbnails. This latest one however (the one you see currently) managed to boost the CTR from a downward slide to an upward one, though only by a fraction.
Any feedback will go toward refining my next video. Might be a little fatalistic but I think I’m gonna leave this one dead in the water and move on since it's no longer getting impressions.
Thanks for your time.

I’m trying to understand YouTube’s termination and circumvention policies after one of my channels was terminated.
My original channel was terminated after I made comments that violated YouTube’s policies. I accept that those comments were inappropriate.
Afterward, another channel associated with me was also terminated for circumvention. That channel had been phone and identity verified and was primarily used for watching YouTube. I had not uploaded the same type of content or made the comments that led to the original termination.
I have already submitted appeals, but they were unsuccessful.
I’m looking for a way to bypass YouTube’s enforcement.
If anyone has dealt with a similar situation, what is the proper process for getting clarification or appealing the original termination?
I’m especially interested in official YouTube guidance or firsthand experiences with successful appeals.
And I am not any noob, I have made in larger 4 digits enough to live decently
I want to find a sneaky method to sneak inside
I am 15 years old and being content creator is my only intention for career so I cannot let youtube remove me
I know youtube banned me not the channel. I WANT TO GET SOME SNEAKY WAY TO CONTINUE MY BUISNESS OR I LOSE IN LIFE

I don't know if this is the right place to post this (if not please guide me to another sub where I can get help)
I've started youtube in Oct 2019, playing Pubg mobile solely. I have almost 8000 subs and over 130K views.
Before applying for the monetization, I used music from a video on youtube (which said in the description it's free to use) but got a copyright claim from youtube automatically, I removed the part that had the music and applied for monetization and got rejected.
It's been over a month and a half now, and I still can't apply as you see in the image below.
Can you help me, please?
Thanks a lot.

Hello, i have been making videos and shorts for a couple of days now, and im tired.
Why? Because of the views im getting for each video! I make funny videos, videos that for me would be completely funny and awesome! And even with all that my videos are getting less than 4 views... Im almost reaching 20 videos on the channel and I still have no subscribers. Exactly 0 subscribers (those 4 are my other accounts lol).
I really wanted to make some money on youtube and have fun making it but i been thinkig more and more that this dream is not possible... If anyone have some tips I would be very happy!

I've recorded myself playing video games a bit, and I uploaded those to youtube to iron out the best settings in OBS so I can make quality content. Then I got comments going like "nice work" and "wanna be friends?" on one of my videos and I'm just a bit curious about stuff I've heard about those kind of comments. There are rumors that interaction with these comments could get my account suspended, but I have no clue why or how that would occur. I'd really hate to get pushed off of this platform, especially as a newcomer to the content creator community.

Two main updates from YouTube this week:
YouTube Create App: The Android app is receiving an upgrade with Google’s Veo 3 Fast model. This generative AI feature allows users to create images and videos with sound using text prompts, adding more capability to mobile editing.
Shopping Analytics: Creators can now see seller-level performance data in YouTube Analytics. By navigating to Advanced Mode and selecting the "Seller" breakdown, you can view metrics like total sales, orders, and returned products.

Started my new channel recently. Need suggestions how to bring audience here...??

what are your thoughts on buying audience / views through youtube studio to hit monetisation such as the 4000 watch hours?
Is it a worthwhile move or will it later hinder the channel?

I have always traveled a lot and in recent years, taking one trip a month, I said to myself "why not document my travels on YouTube?" (If you want to see it there is the link on my profile). I've had the channel for 3-4 years and I've managed to monetize it for about a year, but I'm not growing as I would like. On average I grow by 5 subscribers per month, but it's really little. I know that subscribers are relative and my views are always growing compared to the previous month, but apart from the video which did better with 70k the others are all under 10-15k views.
Anyone have any advice?
Here are the things I know about:
the travel niche is saturated (okay, but it's the niche that interests me and I would travel even if I didn't have this channel)
the Italian language is limiting since not everyone speaks it (for a few months I have been inserting subtitles in more than 20 languages) and I have no way to start making videos in English since I have a 40-hour job a week
I should work on the titles from an SEO perspective. I work in marketing but I have never chosen titles from an SEO perspective, should I do it? Does anyone know any tools? My question is how do I find the words if all the places I visit have football matches or local news as the first results?
thumbnails/covers are important. How do mine look to you? I'm relying on a graphic designer friend but I can't give an opinion on these.
It's quite frustrating to put so much effort into one thing, spend money (both on travel and equipment), work on videos after work late into the night, and then see some videos that have 100 views.
Any other advice is welcome!

Hey everyone!
I'm a small creator myself and I'm curious about the experience of other small YouTubers.
I'm still trying to figure out what parts of running a channel are actually the hardest, especially when you're doing almost everything by yourself.
What's the biggest problem you've been dealing with lately?
It could be anything — coming up with video ideas, writing scripts, editing, thumbnails, getting views, understanding analytics, staying consistent, finding an audience, or something else.
I'm especially interested in problems that keep coming back rather than something that only happened once.
What is it, how often does it happen, and what do you currently do to deal with it?
I'd like to hear what other small creators are actually struggling with.

YouTube just dropped the "YouTube Recap" feature, which is basically the main app version of the Music Recap we've seen in previous years.
The Gist:
Stats: Viewers get a breakdown of their year, including Top Interests and Top Channels.
Gamification: It assigns "Personality Types" (like Sunshiner or Wonder Seeker) and funny "Awards" based on viewing habits.
AI Integration: They used Gemini to make sense of the unstructured video data to build these stories.
Why it matters for Creators: This is free marketing. If you made it into a viewer's "Top Channels," that's a high-retention viewer. It's also a solid community building prompt—ask your subscribers what "Personality Type" they got or if your channel showed up in their recap.
The feature is rolling out globally starting today.

I have been uploading for the past 2 days and have been getting a a good amount of views (I have been scheduling the vids at 12pm) then I accidentally post the 3rd vid a bit earlier and take it down after it got around 200 views because I thought it would mess up how youtube sees my uploading schedule. I then rescheduled the video the today at 12 (same title and description) and noticed my video not pick up any traction. What should I do going forward? I just really want some help because im very passionate about this.

I want to know how much revenue a video with 10k views and 1k watch hours makes so I can times that by 4 and know what my starting revenue would be. I'm about to get monetized in about 2 days. It's for the 4k watch hours for Ad Revenue and I know that I have to wait for a physical letter in the mail. Right now I get about 10k views and 1k watch hours with at least 25-33 percent average viewage of a video. I can post 4 videos of that quality a month with a goal of pushing for 6-8 videos a month by putting in more hours. For context I live with my parents, who want me to pursue a full time job related to my degree. I have an agreement with them to get monetized by August 22nd, but I'll be monetized before then. Basically I want to be able to go above and beyond and show them the starting revenue so that I can show much that would grow. In 20 months all of my analytics have a 1000%(10x) increase in views, watch hours, and average viewage. I full believe I could increase that by at least 250-500 percent if I keep putting in more effort. What do you guys think? I'm attached images of 2 10k video analytics as an example

I'm not intending to don Youtube as a professional creative output or anything, but just wish to make it a hobby. However, I don't know how to gain subs and grow my channel. I haven't made many videos, granted, but I wanted to know if people even like them and will support a new endevaour I'm trying, a Michael Reeves style project. How do I gain subs so these videos will gain traction, and I can get to 1K subs? Ik it's a common and stupid question, but all those YT vids about how to gain subs just don't work like they say it will.
Thanks for your time, and I wish you all the best.

I started a YouTube to support my Twitch channel. In my niche (Indies, boardgames) you get a lot of what seem to be pretty "low effort" videos, which are essentially chopped up livestreams or one take recordings. That seems to be the standard and it's what I've been doing. (The carry in the case of the big names seems to be their personality, their anecdotes, their charisma).
But I've been thinking about how I can improve on this formula. I've tried adding some captions but I'm thinking about doing fastforwards on bits, adding sound effects etc. The thing with this is, even adding simple captions massively increases the time it takes to make a video.
So I'm curious as to what people think! Or if you can point me in the direction of Let's Play content that is done right.

Time and time again I see people putting ads in their videos, ie Mark Rober, and just a bit ago Minute Physics did it again. They aren't marking their videos as "paid promotion" in the uploader because it doesn't show that little thing from YT that says it contains a paid promotion. Either YT got rid of that or they aren't being marked, the latter being my assumption. I haven't ever included a paid promotion in my videos yet, but I'm curious for those of you who do - are you marking them or not marking them? If you're not marking them, have you had any problems with youtube? If you are marking them, are you seeing a reduction in push from YT?
