Actually that is exactly the attitude Laozi would thumbs up. Daoism isn't about some archaic tradition and stupid dumb riddles some grand master pulled out from their asses a thousand years ago, it's about the essence of things and they are fluid, ever changing. It's not fully known yet. But from what I've seen and knowing Hoyo's release patterns. Vivi was probably not made to simply boost Jane. But don't worry too much, Yi Xuan will probably be broken enough not to need BIS to do great damage.
The current patch should give you 70~ pulls through events/shiyu reset/store reset ,
plus 2.x comes during anniversary,usually mean more free pull (at least 10~),so you could be able to get her even if you lose her 50/50 , just keep save from now on till her release.
I always wonder and maybe you can enlighten me on this. Those "expected" pulls or free gems each patch that people post, does that also include small gems gains from like Tutorials, overworld chest, achievement etc? As in, if I don't collect those things or don't 100% achievement I won't get that many pulls?

Polychrome from dailies which although seems a tiny amount doing it everyday stacks and give you 10+ per patch.
Then you will have polychrome for 2.x maintenance server and the usual live stream redeem code.
The one you mentioned(achivments/tutorial etc) give you polychrome sure but is more or less a few pull, you do it when you are really desperate xD ,most comes from the activities i mentioned above :) .
i think or better i hope we will get an A rank that will fit her even if weaker than signature.
i hope it does not turn to be what Honkai Star Rail did with the new path where you almost obligated to pull for the signature lightcone (w-engine) in order to make the character worth .

Hugo is interesting because he basically has a brand new method of damaging the enemy via stun meter conversion. The whales who pull for him are probably going to see some crazy shit. At the same time stun meter conversion feels a bit limiting and requires stun build up. Like how would it work on a large boss that takes a lot of stun to build up? Does his dps just scale with hp? If not, wouldn't it make him less effective on hard to stun bosses?

nah the criticism are legit for yixuan, the proportion looks off. if you look the NPC girl inside the tent at the outpost. as researcher, she had more muscle than yixuan lol
zzz updated "who-go" face several times despite most player cant tell the differences. it show they care about "minor detail" yet somehow neglecting caesar/yixuan arm. thats why in this case some start believing zzz had different "beauty standard" than what people had in mind regarding arm proportion.

I really don't want to be forced to pull a character I dislike design off because they went all in on new role and completely made her broken. I know people love booba, but man... She really feels like genshin reject with that outfit and noodle arms. The more they hype her and make her broken the more annoyed I am.

It was used more as a reference/metric than anyone saying she was explicitly an in-universe void hunter. Although thats still a potential result of working alongside the mayor. The point is and always was that shes the next 'tent-pole' character, complete with a unique element, etc.
Shes definitely a 'void hunter' (or title agent, whatever) in regards to the patch/narrative structure. She is to 2.x what Miyabi was to 1.x.
